The next day, Danny, Tucker, Sam and I are at the Amity Park Mall eating at the food court and Danny just explained to us that he possessed his father to go to the conference with Lancer. "So, your dad is going to chaperone the dance?" Sam asked Danny. "Yes, but he doesn't know he's going to chaperone because he doesn't remember that I made him say yes!" Danny said. I shake my head as Tucker said. "Let me get this straight. You can just walk into people and take over their bodies from the inside?" "Yeah, pretty much." Danny said. Tucker looks over at the table across from us and sees a girl reading a book. "Hey, Danny. If you could control a girl for just about two minutes...." He trailed off and Danny glances over his shoulder at the girl then back at Tucker. "Forget it. You can get your own date for the dance like I did." Danny said. "Does he have to take off his pants and act like a dweeb? Or will either one do?" I asked him and Danny glances at me with a confused look. I stick my tongue out at him as Sam says. "Honestly, guys, I'm glad I'm not going to that stupid dance. Saves me the embarrassment of wearing the lame dress my parents bought me." And she laughs nervously as I nod in agreement. "Same here. I never cared for dances that much." I said. "So no one's asked you two, huh?" Tucker asked. "Maybe if we were as pretty as Paulina " I said with disgust. "Why are you so down on her? So she's pretty. It's not a crime." Danny said. I glare up at him and said. "Looks are deceiving, Danny." Then suddenly people start running and screaming and then I see blue smoke coming out of Danny's mouth. "Ghost time. Can I finish your fries?" Tucker asked him. Danny runs off to go ghost.

*DANNY'S POV*

I fly into the air and see that dragon ghost from the other day. "Say, haven't we met somewhere?" I asked. The dragon roars and breathes green fire at me and I dodge. "Let's try this again. Hi, I'm Danny Phantom. And you are?" I asked. The dragon roars again and swings her tail at me, sending me flying and crashing into a kitchen of the Weenie on a Skewer. "Testy, got it." I muttered as I hold my head. The dragon breathes more fire at me but I'm ready and I dodge it.

"Sorry, dude! I think you got the wrong weenie!" I shouted as I smack into the dragon, pushing it through the air. The dragon grabs me mid-flight and skids to a halt, then pins me to the ground. "Must have tea!" It shouted. "Tea? Ooh, good idea. Coffee could make you a mite jittery. Better yet...." I said and I phase through the floor. Then I fly back up through the floor with my fist out in front of me. "Have some punch!" I shouted as I punch the dragon and it flies through the air and off into the distance and just like that, it was gone.

Danny flies out of the ground as I ask. "Danny! Are you ok?"

"Fine. But that's the second time I've fought that dragon. We need to investigate. How are you guys?" Danny asked us.

"Great.. if you don't count me still being dateless for the dance." Tucker said and he pulls out his PDA as I rolled my eyes. "Sasha, no. Denise, no. Valerie, no. I've hit every girl in school except you two." Tucker said as he looks up at us.

Tucker looks over at Sam and asked. "Do you think we could go to the dance together, as friends?" Tucker asked her. Sam looks taken aback at this and said. "Um, I don't know...um..." She said and I place my hand on her shoulder. "C'mon, Sam." I said. Sam looks over at Tucker and sighs.

"Ok, but only as friends." Sam said. Tucker smiles at her and said. "Great, thanks Sam!" Sam and I smile as Danny looks over at me. "But what about you, (y/n)? Has anyone asked you?" He asked. I shake my head and said. "I'm probably not going go to be honest. There was someone I wanted to go with but he's already going with someone else." I said as I look at the ground. I look back up at him as he gives me a concerned look. "It's okay, Danny. I'm not bothered by it. I'm used to this kind of thing anyway." I said with a small smile. I look down at my watch and said. "Well, I'll catch you guys later." And I walk out of the mall and head home.

The next night, I'm sitting on my bed, wearing a bath robe and have a towel wrapped around my head since I just got out of the shower. I had my laptop out and I was talking to Danny, Tucker and Sam through the Webcam. Danny and Tucker were one Webcam as Tucker was at his house, both of them wearing ttuxedos and Sam was on the other Webcam and I see her hair is done up some. "Tie straight. Shirt tucked in. Unbreakable ghost fishing line tucked neatly away just in case." Danny said as he walks off and picked up this fisher liner and tucks it in his jacket. He turns back to the camera and asked. "What's taking so long with that dragon research, girls?"

"Alright! Jeez!" Sam said, annoyed. "Here. I'm sending you the link." I said as I type away on my laptop and send him what I found. "That's it! Medieval Ghostly legend held that the cursed Amulet of Aragon could transform any wearer into dragon form under states of extreme emotional duress or anger. That's the Amulet I gave to Paulina. It must have accidentally fallen into my backpack. Wait. You mean....I'm going on a date with a dragon?" Danny asked. "Like I said, looks are deceiving. I'm sure you guys will have a wonderful evening. Bye!" I said as I end the video chat and I start to get ready. They have no idea the surprise I'm about to bring onto them.

After having a terrifying conversation with Paulina's dad, we make it to the dance. Everyone seemed to have a good time dancing and mingling with everyone. I see Sam, who was dressed in a purple and black dress, and Tucker off on the side. I told Paulina that I had to use the restroom and walk towards them. Once I approach them, I wave at them. "Hey guys!" I said. "Hey..." They both trailed off and look off into the distance. "What's wrong?" I asked them. Tucker points somewhere behind me and I look and I couldn't believe what I saw. A (h/c) girl with her hair done up in a braided bun and wearing a strapless (favorite color) dress. I blinked a couple of times because I couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. "Is that (y/n)?" Tucker asked. The girl walked up to us, waves and smiles at us. "Hey, guys." She said. "(Y/N)?" Tucker asked. She laughs and nods. My mouth dropped as I get a better look at her. I always thought (y/n) was pretty, but holy crap, she's a knock out! Seems Paulina might have some competition.

She smirks at me and said. "You might want to go back to your date, Danny. Knowing Paulina, she will get mad." I just can't help but look at her as I slowly make my way towards Paulina. 'Focus, Fenton! You need to get that Amulet away from Paulina.' I thought as I shake my head and met back up with Paulina.

The both of us make it to the punch table and I grab two glasses and hand one of them to Paulina. "Paulina, I was thinking....that amulet--" I said. "Isn't it fabulous? I haven't taken it off since you gave it to me." She said. "Yeah, well, about that. See I shouldn't have given it to you in the first place because...it belongs to (y/n)!" I said and she growls angrily and sticks out a green dragon tongue to sucking the punch out of her glass and breaks it in her hand.

I hand her another glass as I say. "Uh...but I want to make it up to you. I'll get you something else. Something....more special." I look over and see Lancer talking to my dad and I freak out. "Like punch! I'm gonna get you some special punch." I said and I run off and turn invisible. I get up behind my dad and overshadow him. "Yes! Danny, what a fine boy he is! Ha! As his father, I get that all the time." I said. "Jack, you sound kind of strange." Mom said. "Oh, must be something I ate. Hey! How bout I get us some punch." I said and I start running game through the crowds of students.

"Excuse me! Excuse me! Adult coming through! I shave everyday!" I said and I finally approach Tucker, Sam and (y/n). "Guy's we've got a problem." I said to them. "We had nothing to do with it, Mr Fenton. It was all Danny's idea." Tucker said. "Tucker, it's me. It's Danny." I said and I hand the three of them walkie talkies. "(Y/N), you try to help me find Paulina. Tucker and Sam, keep an eye on my dad. If he starts talking to anyone, page me, got it?" I said and I walk off.

*YOUR POV*

​​​​​​"This dance gets better and better with every passing minute." Sam said and I chuckled. "I know. If dances were more like this I would go to them more often." I said and Tucker and Sam chuckle as I run off to one direction and they run off the other direction. I finally see Paulina walking through another room, heading for the restroom. I pick up the walkie talkie and said. "Danny! I've got her." "Stay on her. I'm on my way. And (y/n), please be careful and don't make her angry." Danny said. "You know I will." I said and I walk towards the bathroom.

​​​​​​"Hey, Paulina. Nice dress." I said as I enter the bathroom. She turns to me and said. "Yes, and it goes so nicely with your amulet, don't you think?" "My amulet? That's not my---Right! Listen....my grandma gave me that amulet, and..." I started to say but Paulina interrupts me. "Forget it, sweetie. I'm not giving up this trinket or your little boyfriend Danny." She said with an evil smirk that I wanted to slap off her stupid face. "Danny's not my boyfriend." I said, giving a fake chuckle. "He's not?" Paulina asked. "He's my best friend. Maybe that's why I was so hard on you. I didn't mean to call you shallow." I said, when deep down the truth is I was harsh on her because I like Danny, alot. And I did mean to call her shallow but I didn't want to make her angry.

"What a bummer! I only agreed to go out with him because I thought I was stealing him from you." Paulina said and my eyes widen at this. She takes off the Amulet and puts it around my neck. "Here, take your crummy Amulet. I'm going back out there to dump your dorky friend." She said as she walks away and I shake with anger at her and at that point I black out.
