《Forbidden (Kamisato Ayato)》Seven

"He looks like someone I know"
"Ayaka?"
You spoke, never once looking up to the paper works you're doing
Your body was quite heavy nowadays causing you to be cautious. But seriously you have no time for that, ever since you came into the camp all you did was to bury yourself into work, attending the sick, taking care of your child as your right hand man was yet to arrive in here, often taking strategy meeting with the General, exchanging letters to Kokomi and once again paper work.
"Yes yes Ayaka!"
Paimon, the talking fairy spoke in a cheerful tone causing you to let out a chuckle
"But Paimon is wonder why does she look like Ayaka?"
"Well that is because the father of my son is her brother"
"Oh! Ayaka has a brother?!"
"Yes Paimon, Ayaka often talk about her parents and her brother"
Aether replied to his companion
"He's adorable"
"Just like his father"
You chuckle, a soft yet tired smile appears on your lips as you continue to review the contents of the documents
Looking back, you should thank Aether and his companion after all of this ended, not only were they a big help to the resistance but they would also come and keep you accompanied most of the time in your office, most of the time looking after you and your child.
"My-My Lady?"
"Yeah?"
Your look up only see their horrified face causing you to look back
"Is there something wrong?"
You asked, rather confused as there was nothing wrong around the room unless they are seeing something you can not see
"Your nose is bleeding"
Aether pointed out causing you to look down on your paper works which indeed has droplets of blood
"Oh, oh dear wait"

You blink, quickly grabbing a handkerchief and a new piece of paper to rewrite the review for it was now tainted in droplets of blood
"Haha I'm sorry. It often happens nowadays, don't worry"
You spoke with a chuckle reassuring the two
"You must be shock, I'm very sorry"
Once again you apologize to the two as you take away the ruined paper
"It's fine, but are you?"
"I'm fine"
You spoke with a smile
Looking around you turn to spot the time, it was already time for lunch.
"Well how about we go for a lunch?"
"Shall we?"
Paimon said cheerfully causing you to laugh a little
So you stand up, only your legs to gave in as soon as you do causing you to slump on the floor, not only shocking Aether and Paimon immediately went to help you but also you.
You can't stand, causing you to panic. Your legs were numb. But then you try to calm yourself down, there was no point in panicking.
"Are you alright?!"
Aether held you up, supporting you to stand up before sitting you up back in your chair
"I'm fine. I'm sorry, perhaps I've been sitting too much nowadays my legs have gone numb"
You chuckle
"Are you sure? Do you want me to call the medic-"
"No no, I'm fine. See? I can stand. My legs were just numb earlier"
You spoke as you quickly stood up
This time, to your relief you stood up just right and properly as if your legs never gave in earlier. Still for a moment you thought your vision seems blurry but as you blink it went back just okay.
"Then shall we go for lunch?"
Aether seems to hesitate for a moment, so with one last question making sure you're okay, he finally nod.
Leaving the office, you make sure that your son is just well and is sleeping. Giving him peck on his forehead, you went out of the room.
Mindlessly caressing your chest, it was hard to breathe. Nevertheless you shrug it off thinking it was just passing by, or so you thought.
After all everything seems to be going on your way, the resistance was doing well all thanks to this blonde man right in front of you.
Soon, so soon you'll be able to reunite with him. You can feel it.

I'm on TDY from Hell
Temporary Duty (TDY): refers to a soldier’s assignment to a location that is not their permanent duty station. This type of duty is often looked upon favorably by soldiers due to various perks: per diem pay, lodging, meals and incidental pay. Do you ever think about what comes next? What happens after you draw your last breath? Gerald never did. It didn’t even cross his mind on the day he died for his country. But now he’s there. Now he’s living it. Death wasn’t the end, it was only the beginning. I’m on TDY from Hell is a Dark Supernatural Fantasy from the mind of BeamMeUpScotty who brought you the superhero fanfiction, A Change of Pace. The original military sci-fi space opera, Two Worlds; and the realistic superhuman science fiction novel The Harbinger Tales. Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Scionsong
Aliyah Scionsong is a failed scion of her kingdom: a crumbling desert dominion entombed in poisonous mists, home to murderous Magicians and dimensional libraries bursting with secrets—a place where so-called ‘Healers’ are the most dangerous of all mages. Under pain of necessity, Aliyah has learned the forbidden magics which mold flesh and bone to her will; magic that can heal or harm in equal measure. When a royal execution triggers an imminent battle between the Magicians and a nest of faeries, it falls on her to make some very difficult choices. Save a traitor, become a traitor—she’s thrust into a world beyond the choking mists, where not all is as it seems. But at least she has her stolen knowledge. Perhaps her illegitimate magic will make the path ahead easier. Perhaps not. Meanwhile, ripples of unease spread across the lands; trouble is brewing between faery factions. There’s a disgraced dungeonrunner, and a faery general carrying the broken ghost of her murdered queen. Faeries scheme; the Magicians watch and wait. The Last Faery War has only ever been the last faery war for now. Content warnings: violence, profanity, gore and body horror, allusions to offscreen sexual content, disturbing themes.
