《Their Shattered Angel》Thrown back

It's been an other painful week just sitting around in that suffocating room and at this point I feel like I am going crazy. I know my body needs to rest, but I have been waking up in this room more panicked each and every time, so I doubt it helps my health.
Damon had to leave the mansion and go back to the US and fix some business like usual. He has been using all his time here with us until the latest point and had to leave during the week. Otherwise everyone is still here, supporting me as much as they can.
I do already feel better, begging them to take me home, but each and every time I received the same answer ; no.
Fuck them.
I don't really mean that, but I feel like saying this as I think in my bed of a way to get them to let me out. Which makes me realise... I haven't seen Jace nor Blake in the whole morning and it's nearly already lunch time. It's unusual. They always visit me multiple times a day, spending as much time with me as they can on their free time from work. I just hope nothing happening to them...
I nervously fidget with my hands, bouncing one leg up and down waiting patiently for something to happen, the sound of the TV playing in the background. And just then, Jace enters the room a bright smile on his face as he starts rolling in a fucking wheelchair to my astonishment. I look at him with wide eyes, thinking that this just might be it- I can maybe get out of here.
Immediately I rip the covers off of me and intend to swing my legs to the side of the bed and jump out, but the stern look on Jace's face tells me otherwise. I am still to weak to do too much effort and Jace knows it.
"Stay there." His tone is severe and I don't dare to even move an inch of my body as I wait for him to come by my side. Just like that he picks up my body bridal style like it weighed nothing to gently set me in the wheelchair, before he crouches down in front of me.
"Are you comfortable ?" The softness in his voice as he speaks sends butterflies in my stomach and I manage to give him a small nod as excitement fills me up. His grin widens and he gently brushes a strain of hair out of my face before pecking my lips. He stands back up and instinctively I grab his hand to wrap it in my mine. I can feel his eyes burning on me as he start turning the wheelchair towards the exit of my room.
To my disappointment he stops right before we exit and I can't help myself but to let out a cry of frustration. He chuckles at my behaviour, telling me to be patient just a few more moments. What a tease.
He moves back to the room and I frown my eyebrows, confused. He comes back with a hoodie in his hand and in no time I find myself snuggling against the soft material of it as it's slipped over my head.

"I have a little surprise for you outside love." He says and presses a kiss on the top of my head, before he starts rolling the wheelchair again. To be honest I feel like a 100 year old man who can't even take care of himself right now. Yuck. But on the other side I am pretty sure I wouldn't have enough energy to take care of myself.
I feel a little thrill as we leave the room and for the first time, I am able to take in the beauty of this old mansion that held a horrible secret within its walls for so long. Old painting a cover the walls, each and one of them just as beautiful as the other.
By the time we get to the dinning room, everyone seems to have gathered there, all waiting for something that seems to be me. Everyone except Elijah and his sister though.
"What is going on ?" I ask, confusion painted on my face, as I settle my gaze on my brothers to try and get an answer out of them. To my annoyance they keep their mouth shut, grinning like stupid kids. Behind me I feel Jace move and as I attempt to turn my head around, a pair of hands cover him eyes, which makes me freeze up immediately.
"Shit maybe it was not the right thing to do." I hear someone mumble lowly, cursing himself, before he removes his hands again. The familiar voice warms my heart immediately and I turn my head around in one motion again to make sure I am not dreaming.
"GAB !" I yell out, my best friend standing right behind me with his typical smug grin plastered on his face. Not even thinking twice about it, I push myself out of the chair, slightly wobbly on my legs, which alarms Jace that is standing next to Gab. But within seconds I throw myself in the arms of Gab, giggling like a little girl. He is quick to react and wraps his arms around me carefully. "I missed you so bad." I admit, an unavoidable smile spreading on my lips.
"Me too Lia, me too." Gab whispers, lightly pushing me away from his chest so he could have a look at my face properly. "Gosh I am glad you are getting better." He softly smiles at me, but still frowns when he sees how tired I probably look right now.
Behind him, I see Jace leaning against the wall, his arms crossed as he looks at us both with a genuine smile.
"Did you organise this ?" I ask Jace. He nods, shaking off his surprise like it was nothing, but he is so wrong. I give a small peck on Gab's cheek, before starting to walk towards Jace, which is a bit more difficult than I imagined, my lungs slowly burning up like they are on fire.
Jace didn't think I would actually walk towards him, but he is quick to react and scoop me in his arms, before I do any more steps.
"Thank you." I breath out in relief and press my lips against his for a quick second, before unwillingly pulling away. I can't forget the fact that all my brothers are watching right now.

"We still have a little thing for you outside Lia." Gab cuts in and I raise an eyebrow, feeling already spoiled enough to have Gab by my side. Jace gently puts me back in my wheelchair, completely ignoring my pleads to tell him that I am fine. He knows I am lying, like always. For Christ sake.
Everyone follows put as Jace starts to push me towards the front door, but he doesn't go very far, as Gab debates like a child the fact that he wants to push me. Jace doesn't have a choice but to give in, which earns us the pleasure of hearing Gab scream victory. "Child" I hear Blake mumble, a tint of amusement laced in his voice, which makes his twin chuckle next to him.
Gab pushes the wheelchair and rambles on about how he wanted to kill out asses for not answering him while we were here. That was until he got a call from Jace explaining all that happened. He felt bad. Really.
"Let's leave it behind us. Can we ?" I ask him politely. I didn't want to fall in that dark hole of thoughts again, just making me think about it makes me shiver.
"Sure, sorry."
The silence takes over until we are in front of the main entrance and I can't help the excitement and questions to take over my thoughts. Jace goes in front of us to open the large doors that luckily allow me to pass through with the wheelchair. When he does so, a bright light shines and enlightens the dark corridor, blinding my poor eyes.
After blinking multiple times I am finally able to have a clear vision and the sight in front of me leaves me breathless. Tears prickle in the corner of my eyes and I slowly push myself up to stand on my legs, not caring if it hurts. Two pair of arms link themselves around mine to support me, the twins on each of my sides.
The black material of my baby shines in the sun and I nudge the guys next to me to help me walk down the stairs to get to the one and only Audi R8 named Rage. I nearly stumble over and wince when I miss a step, but Blake and Ethan hold me up in the air to stop me from crashing towards the ground. They both scold me to slow down, but I ignore them.
I only have eyes for Rage. Seeing the engravings MJ on the side just makes all the emotions come forward and I realise how I have been putting my own passion to the side. I haven't been near that car in what feels like weeks and I hate it. I never have been so long away from her as right now.
But Jace brought her here. To me. With the help of Gab I might guess. He is the only other person I actually allow to even come near my car and he knows it damn well.
A tear of happiness rolls down my cheeks and I look up at my best friend and my boyfriend, so grateful for their efforts. I manage to let out a "thank you" with a slightly trembling voice.
"Ready to go home love ?" Jace request and my eyes nearly fall out at his words. Home ?
I can finally go home...
Still overwhelmed with everything that is going right now, I slowly shake my head with a bright smile on my lips.
"Get in the passenger seat, I'm driving to the airport. And don't worry everything is already settled, your brothers packed everything and will be right behind us okay ?" Jace explains clearly and in detail to make sure I don't freak out about anything.
Gently I push the boys away from me, they resist for a little before I send them a death glare that they completely ignore.
"Let me just get in my car will you !?" I scold them both. Ethan and Blake look at each other for confirmation, before slowly letting me go, my hands already on the door handle of my car to get balance.
In no time, Jace is by my side an arm wrapped around my waist so I could support myself as I climb into the passenger seat. He gently sets me in, making sur eu am comfortable before closing the door on me. The insides of my car give me so many flashbacks of the times where Jace was still teaching me how to race and how we would simply spend our time together.
I didn't even realised he climbed into the car, before he starts the engine bringing it back to life with a roaring sound. I bring the windows down to make my goodbyes and to thank everyone, which is not very necessary knowing that we will all fly back home together. I still felt the need to do it though.
Just then, Jace presses on the accelerator, not even waiting a second before placing his hand on my thigh like he always used to do. A smile creeps up my lips and I relax into the comforting seat of Rage as we wildly, but safely race on the roads towards the airport. To my surprise I see a black Bugatti Veyron trailing behind us, which can be no other than ; Belladonna driven by Blake Knight.
I roll my eyes, as Jace gives me a look that I know all too well. He wants to race-
And with only one press on his hand I give him the allowance to race against Blake that has already positioned himself next to us, waiting for the green light.
And in one second I am thrown back into the old times, where racing was the only thing I had to keep me going.
Uhm guys ? I want to cry. Can I cry on someone's shoulder ?

Young bloods (WIP)
" So-called leaders prostituted their people to wars and abuse. They destroyed families, culture and economies; their hands dyed red by the blood of the children, the families trampled by their lecherous motivations and diabolical war machines. Trained and taught by the Revenants or rather “young bloods” from their war-torn world, we were going to build a better world for us and for the later generations, a world when there shall be no more wars waged over territory, a world where boys and girls can frolic around for all of eternity." -Sasha, Terutan regular army cadet. ‘History is determined by the victors, and here we stand transcended over those who abused us. History is filled with liars, broken promises of eternal prosperity and peace. The more things change, the more things stayed the same: ideology change, location shift but power will always find a place to rest its head. We fought and bled for the adults, the grown men and women who preached of us being their future, preached us of the freedom from tyranny and slavery; no wonder why we hated them so. History is determined by the victor, and there shall be no victors when we’re done.’- Yulia Bronskavya, Red Army Homeguard. As the first modern war came to a close in November 1st, 1918, rows of passed juveniles laid the battlefields. In the name of some royal fat cats or some shitty national leader, cruelty and crimes were committed against the weak and the vulnerable younglings; in other words, adults were assholes. Their deaths marked a new beginning, a new beginning in a strange and magical land that was and had only been dreamt of in stories and folk tale, they had arrived to Terruta. The first ones regarded themselves as Revenants, heroes who had been able to be reborn in this world and began their adventure to explore this strange foreign land. However, “every coin have two sides, like everyone have two faces”. 'As they left their former life behind, the young soldiers and operators found themselves being deceived, abused and taken advantaged off again by the elders of this world. Many were abused, tortured, raped and sold to slavery, Revenants were quite sought after due to their timeless charm, strength, intellect and immortality, they were unable to be killed no matter what; many were bought and used as pets, slaves and entertainers for their masters’ entertainment. Fed up with the similar treatment and abuse by the adults of this world, many revolted and founded ICC, International Cooperative Coalition.'-Sasaki Kotegawa, JSDF Private.

St. Charles and the Children from the Sun
This story is a tale classic in its tragedy, about the foibles of Man and how he destroys the things he loves, all to prove himself superior over the Universe. In a quest to defeat Hilter during Wold War II, Winston Churchill and Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt barter with a race of serpents who come from outer space. There are a few inconveniences for the leaders of the West when dealing with these creatures. For one, they can't even talk to them, for the aliens 'speak' by manipulating light. But in exchange for the knowledge of how to build an atomic bomb, all the monsters want from us is to live in peace at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. What could go wrong with that? * * * This story is my entry in The Royal Road Community Magazine Contest * * *
