Rudra was sitting comfortably in his chair in his room. The room was dark with only a fire burning in the fireplace to keep the chill away. Rudra was sipping coffee and drinking it slowly while looking at some documents. Slowly he looked up and asked so, “how much success we achieved?”. A man suddenly came out of the shadows and bowed down to Rudra and said its almost complete. We only need a few more days to complete it.

Rudra: You know that we can’t afford any mistakes now, take care of everything properly and never allow any mistakes. Dismissed.

There was a knock on the door. Rudra looked up at the door and then looked at the man in the shadows. The man in the shadows suddenly got mixed into the darkness like water in water. Rudra slowly closed the file he was looking at, then threw it into the fireplace. And watched for a bit to see it burn. Then he said, “come in”.

The door opened and Abdul came in wearing his black three-piece coat and black pants that were ironed to perfection. On his nose was a round British omni glass. His hands covered in white gloves. His face had that aged look that one would see on a man that has passed through a long stimulus life. His bald head shining like the moon.

He came in and then changed the coffee that Rudra was drinking. He slowly said, “Sir Miss Maya is outside seeking an audience with you.” Rudra said, “tell her to come in”. Abdul bowed and then went out of the room taking the trolly that he brought with him. After a few moments Maya came in.

Maya: Umm young master…

Rudra put his finger on his lips and said making a gesture to shush. “Just call me Rudra miss Maya in private and public, we aren’t that official.” With a smile on his face that shined in the fire.

Maya: (hesitated a little but ultimately gave in) Yes Rudra. I just received a message from Master Rakesh, querying about your training for the regional yodha tournament. What should I tell him?

Rudra: (smiled a little) You are smart miss Maya. Well, tell him everything is fine.

Maya: Rudra I know you are powerful with your lord level demons but there are a lot of powerful opponents out there who can be cunning and ruthless to say the least. I think you should Train a bit with me, with all due respect.

Rudra did not say anything seemingly pleased with the care of this little miss caretaker of his. He said, “All right miss Maya as you wish. Let us go to the training room.”

Maya and Rudra went to a huge hall room that had a floor to ceiling glass on one side. The room was fitted with many cameras and sensors for the benefit of the ones training. On the other side of the glass were many computers controlled by an AI that recorded and analysed these datas.

Maya said she was going to use a new monster that was on the lord level to fight with lucifer. Rudra simply nodded and then they took their places at each end of the hall to fight.

Maya: Eragon come out.

A huge dragon with a wingspan that can cover an entire football field appeared out of thin air. The dragon like creature was deep black in colour and it had light scales covering its back. Its talons could rip out a tank into two with a sift movement. It had deep red eyes glaring with a killing intent. The it let out a bone chilling roar looking at the sky that could burst out a normal human ear. Thankfully, the hall was isolated out from the rest of the world. Maya was pleased looking at Eragon. Eragon was not a demon but a monster mutated from grave lizard. After countless hours of training and engaging in countless fights it had evolved into a dark dragon. Maya has many memories attached with this creature.

Rudra: It is a magnificent creature miss Maya. All right lucifer come out.

A void appeared in the thin air and suddenly two hands appeared out of the void and grabbed its two edges, and jumped out a magnificent looking angel, the fallen angel lucifer. Its eyes still basking in unholy indifference. That would make any creature bow in obedience.

Maya noticed that Eragon was looking out at lucifer in a dazed state like he was looking at a god. Maya suddenly felt a bit unnerved.

Maya shouted, “Eragon snap out of it and be ready to attack.”

Maya looked at Rudra who was looking at her with a smile and gestured toward her with a smile to start the fight. Maya nodded. Maya telepathically said to Eragon to start attacking. When a demon or monster gets a contract with a human they can talk telepathically. After achieving lord tier even, the monsters can start talking back to their master. The monster special abilities and skills are all available to the Yodha mind as soon as they contract with a monster or demons.

Maya: Eragon release grave aura and weaken the opponent. Then continue attacking with your dark fire breath.

Eragon: got it.

Maya was a little surprised as she saw Rudra doing absolutely nothing just standing there and looking at her and Eragon. In a duel between two Yodhas anyone can attack at any time or defend at any time there is no need for them wait for the opponent to finish attacking or wait for their turn to attack.

Eragon did as was told. A dark miasma started spreading out from its wings as it covered the entire field. It restricted one’s sight, only the outline of lucifer and Eragon were visible. Then after that Eragon raised its head and opened its large snout and an orb of dark flame began materializing in front of its mouth. Eragon looked at Lucifer with a smirked and then released a high energy beam that could have destroyed mountains, at Lucifer. Maya was a bit concerned as she wanted to defeat Lucifer to make Rudra train hard, but she did not want to damage Lucifer too much. This beam was a deadly attack that had defeated countless enemies. She knew Lucifer was a powerful demon, but she didn’t know how powerful. After a few moments when the attack ended Eragon felt a bit odd.

Eragon: Master I do not think our attack was successful.

Maya: what do you mean….

Before she could complete her sentence, she saw Lucifer standing there with both his hands resting on the hilt of his sword which was pointing downward, like a royal guard. His wings folded and eyes closed in a very solemn and calm state.

Eragon: Master I don’t think my attack even scratched him.

Maya was thinking what to do when the Dark miasma completely faded away and Rudra came into being. He was still smiling, a little nonchalantly.

Rudra: That was an extraordinarily strong attack miss Maya! I am impressed. All right my turn then.

But Rudra didn’t issue any attack he just nodded toward the fallen angel. Lucifer bowed a little toward Rudra and then took the sword and kept it in the scabbard on his waist. He opened his eyes and looked at Eragon menacingly. Maya felt she was looking into an Abys and an unknown pressure began draining her consciousness. Even though Eragon was a monster he wasn’t any better that Maya. Maya suddenly felt a dread and shouted to Eragon.

Maya: Eragon strengthen your soul guard and release draconic shield around you.

Eragon closed his Eyes and then he began strengthening his soul guard and brought his wings in front of him and covered him from all around like a cocoon. A fiery light began appearing Infront of him. A holographic shield appeared in front of him to protect him. Lucifer began walking towards Eragon, with each step the pressure on Eragon was strengthening and a dread was creeping up on him, but he still held on. After lucifer reached Infront of Eragon he didn’t stopped and simply continued walking. As soon as Lucifer touched the shield the shield broke like a piece of glass. Maya was surprised at this and she found a feeling that she had never felt before, fear it was fear of the unknown. She was dreading when she looked at Lucifer, but she kept her cool or at least she tried to.

Lucifer raised his hand and hold onto the dragon’s two wings that were closed shut and then like opening a door he opened it with a little strength. Opposite to Lucifer Eragon was exerting all his strength to keep his wings closed but no matter what he tried the wings kept opening up, the hands that hold onto them simply had monstrous strength that he had never before seen or imagined anyone could possess.

Maya: Eragon continue resisting but as soon as Lucifer opens up the wings, completely release draconic breath instantly and with full power.

Eragon had hope, although the previous attack was powerful, but the draconic breath was at a level of its own. It was the most powerful attack that belongs to the dragons. and at point blank range at which Lucifer was standing it was especially deadly. Maya let go of her inhibition of not injuring Rudra’s contract when the situation of peril came.

As soon as the wings were opened completely by Lucifer Eragon released the Draconic blast with full force at his face. With a dragon’s roar came a blast that shook the hall completely. But to Maya’s horror the blast did nothing to Lucifer not even a scratch. She questioned herself, am I so weak? what have I done wrong? how could this demon be so powerful? But the most important question was what is this dread that was creeping on her? She could no longer keep herself calm.

After the blast was over Lucifer was still indifferent. Eragon suddenly felt the grip and force on his wings being released but before he could take a break. The dreadful hands gripped both the jaws of his snout and pulled him downward and thrashed him on the ground. Without even giving a moment of rest to him, Lucifer pulled his snout towards himself and then forced them open. Lucifer looked at Eragon with an icy gaze. Eragon started shivering when he looked at those cold and dark eyes. He started screaming to Maya to forfeit but he realised that his telepathic connection to Maya has been forcefully disconnected by an external force. This realisation turned Eragon’s discomfort into a complete and unchecked wild fear, something he hadn’t felt from a long time since his evolution. He felt like a weak little prey staring into the eyes of a predator that didn’t even considered him a prey worthy of satiating his hunger. He froze there in an unchecked and abasically dread. Then suddenly Lucifer opened his mouth a little and a soul shaking sonic boom was released directly into Eragon. It lasted for a second but to Maya and Eragon it felt like an eternity. After this attack Eragon eye dimmed and when Lucifer released his grip on him, he fell with loud thud. Maya also suddenly felt her head going dizzy and lost her consciousness.

After this was over Lucifer turned and bowed towards Rudra. Rudra nodded and pulled Lucifer back into the Soul space. After he entered the soul space. Rudra began walking toward Maya and suddenly looked at Eragon.

Rudra: Oh, I completely forgot about this Guy. He contacted a Mysterious being in his soul space which was shrouded in a holy light. Then Rudra raised his hand and a holy light shrouded Eragon and Eragon body began shrinking into a light which afterward entered Maya’s head.

Rudra then went to Maya and looked at her with indifferent eyes. He murmured, “Now she will leave me alone, I hope.” He picked her up and then took her out of the training hall.

AFTER A FEW HOURS ………….

Maya woke up with a drowsy head, she felt like her head was splitting. She became a little disoriented and decided to sleep a little more. But just as she was going to sleep, she remembered those eyes filled with darkness that were staring at her like a beast. She remembered her fight with Rudra and then about Eragon. She became panicked as she thought about Eragon, but she became calm as she inspected her soul space and found Ergon there, tired and sleeping. She breathes a sigh of relief. Slowly the heaviness and the tiredness of her mind was washed away. She began contemplating about the fight.

A few moments later a doctor entered her room. The woman looked to be around in her mid-thirties. She saw Maya sitting on the bed, she looked at her and then smiled. She asked Maya, “How are you miss Maya?”. Maya said calmly, “I am fine doctor. For how long I have been here doctor?” The doctor said you have been here for 48-hour miss Maya. The doctor then did some basic check-up and wrote something on a holographic screen that appeared from her wristwatch. She then said, “You are perfectly fine now Miss Maya. You were exhausted from the fight and hence lost all your consciousness. Also, there was a bit of damaged to your soul space due to it being forced to close without your wish, which has been recovered. So, you are perfectly fine to go now.” Maya bid the doctor goodbye and went to her room.

Maya was constantly thinking about the fight she could not comprehend how can Lucifer be so powerful that Eragon could not even stand a chance. She reached her room, where she saw Rudra standing in front of her door. When she saw him, she remembered the fight that was scary beyond imagination. She never thought that she would one day face such an opponent who would make her scared with only a look. Maya got herself together and went forward. She came face to face with Rudra. She said, “you are really the best Rudra. You are strong. Please allow me a chance to serve you.” Rudra simply looked at her and said, “Keep doing the good work miss Maya.” and went away. Maya was filled with an unexplainable feeling as she saw the receding silhouette of Rudra. It was a feeling of respect, goodwill and an inexplainable terror. She went inside her room and closed the door behind her.
