Guild, this is the foundation of a city or any place with civilization and the formation of groups of hunters. People rely in the guilds by giving them missions and the hunter who accepted it will be given rewards when the task was successfully done. And one of the benefits of joining a guild is the availability of members when aid is needed. Of course you could also avail informations which is impossible to attain without necessary means. The city's most active guild is the Whitesong hunters. Their group went out of the city this morning with enthusiasm. The purpose of the expedition was gathering which is a common thing to do in a guild.
Collecting of raw materials for making equipments and such. This time, the particular stuff they want to be in their hands is a rare flower. The reason they mobilized their most elite hunters was the special quality of this flower. It can make your attribute improve by a huge amount. But unfortunate luck for them. There are only eleven out of twenty members who came back alive. Including their leader, Liam Marlowe, whose name is famous in the city.
[ So you're saying that, half of your team magically appeard without you noticing? Eh? ]
[ Ah. Tha-that is ]
Now, a brawny man was scolding the famous leader without holding back.
Lucky for him or not there are only two of them in the what seems to be a guard house.
[ You know that there is a possibility you'll be severely punish. So, think carefully before you make a statement. Ok? ]
The leader silently gulped because of the pressure he felt from the brawny man.
[ Watcha waiting for? Scram now and find evidence! ]
[ Yes sir captain! ]
Afraid of being skinned out alive by the brawny man who he just called the captain, the leader immediately jolted away from the guard house. He felt no hostility from the captain upon entering the guard house which is a good thing. But for some reason, he felt a tremendous killing intent from the captain which is a bad thing.

[ Goodness! I almost die back there ]
The leader can still feel his heart abnormally beating fast. He
remembered the scary words of the captain. One mistake and his life would be ended without him knowing why.
[ Only sir Zon can help me right now. I need to find him before someone make a false statement ]
The leader took out a metal device in his pocket. He pressed the only button then a weird loud sound was emitted from the metal device. A bird like cry echoes followed by the galloping of horses. Four chain tied warhorses appeared puffing smoke from their noses like it's ready for a battle. He hopped to a warhorse and pointed the metal device infront of him. It emitted a weird sound again when he pressed the same button and just like a signal, the warhoses begins to run.
"The Golden Anvil" one of the weapon stores in the city. The fancy name hides the truth making it more or less a high-class store. But the truth is, it is only one of the average store you can find in the city. Not true to its name, only cheap equipments are sold here and not made by golden materials. There's really non expensive items beside its name. And selling other product like armors did not help it to become well known. Average profit, average tax to pay, makes it the perfect average store. Now, intense atmosphere envelops inside the store. Worsen by the cold temperature embracing the surroundings.
[ You. Where's your manners? Did you not know me? ]
[ No. I don't remember your face? ]
A blonde spoke with a cold voice followed by the calm voice of a young man wearing a black cloth that is obviously made from the skin of animals.
[ I see. You're new here ]
[ Sir Zon. Please be considerate and allow me to guide this youngster ]
The store owner spoke with a pleading look. It is not to save the young man but in attempt to save his beloved store. He also knew from the moment he entered that the youngman is not a citizen of this city.

[ To lessen your ignorance. I am Zon Fregeir. Son of the mayor of this city. Now it should be a benifit for you to know my name ]
The blonde said those words with the intention of announcing his standing in this city.
[ Oh what luck! I've met such a person. And what now? ]
The young man casts the blonde a careless look.
[ I don't know where you came from but it seems they did not teach you the proper ethics ]
With the words of the blonde, temperature begins to fall tremendously. Turning the things inside into a block of ice. The store owner cannot do a thing and only shudders from the cold.
[ Hey aren't you a hot-blooded one? ]
He smiled thinking that they have the same temperament. Much to the dismay of the owner, it seems that an inevitable fight will break out inside his store. While he's thinking of possible way to minimize the damage, loud galloping of horses approaches the store.
[ Sir Zon! ]
A voice of a man was heard calling the name of the blonde.
[ Huh? Is there unlucky someone that ruined the mood of Sir Zon? ]
Noticing the wall of ice blocking the entrance, the man assumes it as the magic spell of the blonde.
[ Sir Zon its me! Liam ]
The wall of ice begins to melt which allows the man to be able to enter the store.
[ Thank you Sir ]
The man bowed down to greet the blonde.
[ Did you finish the errand that I have given to you?]
[ No. Im sorry its a failure ]
The blonde begins to show displeased face.
[ Tch. A simple job and you can't even do it right ]
He walks to exit the store.
[ Let's talk this inside the carriage ]
Suddenly he stopped as if he remembered something. He turned towards Izgor.
[ And you. I won't forget your foul behaviour today. ]
[Hmph! let's go ]
The two exited leaving the inside of the store wet from the melt ice. Everything returned to normal nonetheless. After a short moment passed, the sound of a carriage running was heard outside.
[ Heh. Arrogant kid ]
Izgor did not expect to meet such person on his first day in the city.
He doesn't want to have an enemy. He disliked the thought of having someone ruined his day. An enemy means another annoyance for him. His too lazy to be bothered. But if they get in his way, he won't have a choice but to take an action.
[ What is an ethics anyway? ]
He's thinking that the reason why the blonde guy was arrogant because of his smartness.
[ Heh. Having more knowledge doesn't earn you the right to be arrogant ]
He silently murmured those words while reminding himself that he didn't need to worry about small things. Just a simple word and he will learn it later anyway. But deep inside his heart, he become curious to the word ethics which is the first time he heard such word after almost a decade of fighting in the forestland. Secretly in his mind, the things that need to be learned has increased again. After all, coriosity is the only thing that he doesn't have the confidence to fight with.
[ I'll comeback when I need something ]
After he said those words to the owner, he too exited the store.

How to have fun in an apocalypse (Rewrite)
After spending an unsavory amount of time in hell, our protagonist finally manages to escape the place that had kept him captive for so long... again. Unfortunately, even after plotting and planning for years, he ends up in a place not much different from the burning and agonizing Tartarus he once had to call home. Guts, blood, and carnage start to reign over Earth as soon as he set foot in it, much to his dismay. What use is it to cry over spilled milk, though? Tired of the monotony of endless torture, he steps into the world intending to have as much fun as possible. While others might try to raid the Orc Lord with as many people as possible, why not challenge him to an arm-wrestling tournament? The power of friendship will surely be on his side. Why hide from the big, bad wolf in one of your houses if wearing camo in plain sight should have the same effect? Now, making friends and going on adventures would be perfectly fine, if it wasn't for the fact that he hides a few more secrets than one might think at first. This is a complete rewrite! Due to being unsatisfied with the previous version, I have decided to work the story up, beginning from the older chapters! Version 2.0 includes: - enhanced writing and editorial skills - additional information and aspects to characters - minor deviation from storyline and improvements

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
