《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》Should have checked for traps

A dream:
You can see a stone hallway, it looks to be carved out of the rock itself, there are no seams or mortar in the stone, there are branches here and there and you can see a large opening up ahead, a torch sheds its flickering light over the dark grey stone. You can feel yourself moving forward as you pass the different intersection you can see more hallways proceeding out from the first with doors along the side hallways, as you continue on straight down the original path you can see where the hallway ends. You progress further forward and there is a railing in front of you where the hallway runs into a intersection and continues off to the left and to the right in what appears to be a long curved path, each side looks like it might curve back around to meet again further on. You hold the torch up over your head to see what fills the space in front of you. The light from the torch bounces off something in the distance something in the center of this opening. You continue on a short ways around the what you are sure now is a circle, as you continue you can see more and more paths that appear to radiate from here. Whatever is here in this opening is certainly the center of this place. From where you can stand at the railing and look over the edge you can see that there are a couple floors above you and a couple floors below you that also have a similar railing to this one and also look out over this interior opening.
You wonder just what might be there in the center, what was the focus of this area. You reach into your pack and after a few seconds of sorting through it you pull free another torch and light it off of the first. You wave it around for a second feeling its wight in your hand before lobbing it over the edge, it falls for 20-30 feet before clattering to a stop on a stone floor below. You can see that it has landed at the base of something and you can see the streams of flickering light casting large long shadows up the length of whatever it is that stands here in the center of the room. You in a similar fashion pull out another torch from your pack and light it and lay it on the stone floor next to you before retrieving another and another and also lighting them. One at a time you throw them over the edge towards the base of the object that take up a fair bit of space in the center of this expanse. You are careful to throw them not all together but as far as you can toss them in separate directions all towards the base of the object. Hoping to shed as much light as possible on this thing standing there. Number four and Number five go over and collectively you have most of the base of the object lit up now, some of them landing closer and some of them further from the object than maybe you had intended. You can now clearly make out what appears to be a set of large stone legs. It is a statue of some kind. Two armored feet leading up to legs covered in more armor, it looks like some kind of plate or panel armor. You have two more lit torches with you along with the first. You fumble for a second to hold them all at once and keep the flames as close as possible in an attempt to have them combine their light and hopefully show a bit more of the statue at the level you were standing. You hold them up and indeed you can see a bit of the figure. It is a rather squat looking figure with one arm raised over it's head, a large two bladed axe held held high into the cavernous space. The features of the carving are deep and stoic, the face seems almost expressionless, sharp features in the face set on a set of sturdy looking wide shoulders that are they themselves clad in the same kind of armor as you saw on the legs and feet. You cannot make out any of the fine details from there but it is clear that some portions of this statue were at some point painted or guilded with some kind of material as they are not the same grey stone as the rest of this place seems to be. The colors look faded or flaked off from here and with the little light you have it is hard to be sure. You try to move further around to get a better look at the face of the statue. As you do you hear a click under your foot and as you look around for the source a puff of smoke seems to shoot up around your feet. You cough for a moment. Something doesn't feel right. You need to get out of here. You quickly start finding the hall you used to get down here. You are moving as quick as you can but your limbs are getting heavy, not just tired heavy. A kind of panic sets in and you are trying to get out of here, you know you are far from where you entered this place, are you gonna make it out?

Saint's Supporter
Dumped into a world by myself, set up with a class that requires others to excel with just over a week to prepare for a fight with a literal god. This is just another betrayal to add to the list. I won't stop until I find the person who put me in this situation, along with my friend who I dragged into this mess. Transferring to another world and gaining special powers is a dream for some, but if they were dropped into my shoes... they'd probably give up. But I won't. This story has the following elements: Male MC Light RPG mechanics (no in-story stat tables) Non-standard class for the MC Moderate violence A mix of solo fights and group battles with a balance of tactics, skill and ability usage If you're looking for the below, you may be disappointed: Instantly overpowered MC (no prior skills in combat, every bit of growth is earned) Female MC (duh) Explicit sex (may be referenced, but no NSFW chapters) Health bars (damage taken and given reflects reality) Harem Gore and ultra-violence **This story is a First Draft, changes may take place during the process. Three chapters per week at minimum.** **So, this is set up as a GameLit transported to a new world story initially, but it focuses on how such a system would work in real life. There are levels, abilities and mana pools, but damage and health are realistic and combat is fast and frantic. I think that is an interesting mix. If you have any questions, just ask in the comments. I'm always happy to discuss anything in relation to the story.**

On the Other Side
Sappers lead the way. It was a slogan Jake had heard a million times, but he never thought it would apply to leading the way into another world. Stuck in a new universe with new rules that resemble an RPG, can this former combat engineer with poor social skills survive or even better, lead his fellow survivors to thrive? This was written contemporaneously with Now That's Entertainment, with different characters and mechanics. I've decided to post both in hopes of comparing how they do. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Post does contain harsh language, realistic depictions of violence,

Chimera
Eleanor meant the world to Titus. So when an opportunity to bring her murderer to justice appears, Titus jumps on the chance. His quest, however, would mean traversing the dangerous world of Nivandor, a land infested with monsters, night hunters, and corrupt kings–nothing he and his lord, Lady Priscilla, couldn't handle. Their plans change, however, when both of them are dragged into a nightmare realm, a dimension filled with strange and powerful terrors unlike any they've ever faced. Titus's skill as a kinetic mage is put to the ultimate test as he must work with his lord to fight off the increasingly dangerous monsters that hunt them as they hunt down the three remaining Seraph lords sustaining the Nightmare. For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. Warmly, Daniel --- Disclamer: This story is not a finished product and will be undergoing changes, sometimes significant changes, as the story develops. Think of it as an early access story where nothing is fully set in stone. If I change a part of the story that you really love, I'm sorry, but changing one part of the story will affect the other parts I try to avoid major changes, especially in older chapters, but for the newer ones there will probably be more fine tuning. As for anyone invested in the story who is not happy with the way the story is going, feel free to DM me so I can get feedback. I want to know how you guys feel about the story, what changes I can make, at what point in the story I may have lost you. But until I get specific feedback, I won't know what changes might need to be made. There are about 14 chapters left for Part 2 of Chimera, give or take. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can. Warm Regards, Daniel --- Cover art credit goes to Brosedesignz, who has an awesome selection of both premade and custom book covers at great prices on her website. The Time I Became a War Golem
Oh hey! Welcome! It's a pleasure for me that you stumbled here and found this story. What? What exactly is this story? Oh you know, it's like those run-of-the-mill Isekai stories, the main character dies and then gets reborn to another world, fights all kinds of evils and stuff until they finally get a happily ever after. I am the Main Character in this story, your's truly Nigto Zed. In this story, you would follow my life (of course) in the World of Gaia, where I would be involved in fights of both Good and Evil and also the ones inbetweens. You would also read about some of the lives of the people that I meet here from their perspective so it's not all me. Oh well, enough with this. Again, I welcome you to the World of Gaia, wherein, Man and Demi-humans alike experience the two sides of Life, The White and Pure along with the Black and Stained. This is the story of both Suffering and Healing. Of both Successes and Failures. A world where Souls paves the way to Destiny, and where Relationships ensures Victory. This is the World of Gaia and this is also the Story of the Time I Became a War Golem. Enjoy!
