《Dreams of the Aasimar Cleric》The Ritual of Fire

A dream:
Black and white fill your field of vision, You see a gathering of figures around a large fire. Hundreds of figures stretching out from the large bonfire in all directions. There is a wooden platform that stands on one side of the bonefire near it. There are what appears to be several large chairs on the platform. A large wooden carved pole stands behind the chairs, there sits in each of the chairs a large humanoid, grey/green skin dressed in armor each with one hand on a large spear. 5 of them in total all appeared similar the last one on the end was different, it wore cloth instead of armor and instead of a spear he held a staff of some kind with feathers draped down it and a skull of some small creature set on top. All the others around the fire were bare chested and most held no weapons at all or only small knives at their belt. They all stood there almost waiting, the one in cloth stood and stared at the sky for some time. Then struck his staff on the ground, all movement stopped even the breathing of everyone stopped, then in his foreign tongue began speaking out to the group waving the staff over his head to emphasize his words. Rough guttural words that very tone seems to drip anger and violence. As he stops speaking he strikes it against the stand and all the others around the fire begin to shout in unison. Then some drums begin to beat, at first a chaotic rhythm becoming a steady beat, all the figures began to dance and shout, stomping around the fire in a large circle. They howled and yippee, and growled at each other, as the beat continued it got louder and louder. Their movements becoming more erratic and violent, as they continued to dance in the giant circle. The robed figure once again raised his staff and the flames of the bonfire began to coales into a form, the flames grew higher until they towered more than 30 feet into the air a large humanoid figure appeared to be standing in and made of the roaring flame, it held a large two handed axe above its head with one hand and seemed to sweep the other hand over the crowd, then a voice came out of the flaming mouth, it spoke in the same harsh tones as the others. Everyone stood around and faced the form in the fire, even those on the platform had risen to their feet at the appearance of the figure. It spoke out to the whole group it’s voice echoing into the dark night beyond the reach of the light of the flame. It spoke only a few short sentences before the fire reverted back to its flame form. As the form stopped speaking and reverted back, all those assembled roared in unison. The sound seemed to shake the ground as it raised to a near deafening volume.

The robed figure once again began to wave the staff over his head and speak to the whole group. They once again began to dance around the bonfire as the drums once again picked up. Huge trays of meat were presented to those on the platform each taking several pieces of the raw meat. Each began to eat what they had taken voraciously. The trays of meat where then taken to the edge of the platform and thrown into the throngs gathered below. They all grabbed it from the air or picked what fell off the ground and they too began to consume it. It barely looked like they even chewed the food. Their large protruding fangteeth helped them tear through the flesh. Each as they finished eating began to roar and again and again more trays of meat were brought out and thrown to the swirling mass of bodies.
They energy level in the place continued to grow and grow, soon the figures were starting to grab and grapple each other and even start hitting one another. Small fights began to break out amongst the group, all you could see was fist fights. These fights seemed to break up as quickly as they started and they would continue to swirl around the huge fire and then find another figure to attack.
The figures on the plat form had returned to their seats, they themselves you can tell were being wound up by the excitement of the goings on. They fidgeted in their seats and slammed theirs spears into the platform. They began to scream out to the crowd, one or two of them stood, standing on the edge of the platform. One of them stripped off his armor quickly and dropped his spear before diving off into the crowd, quickly finding his way into a fight. Almost all of them were bleeding now, their green blood covering each other and streaming down their forms into the sand. After some time of this the ground itself is starting to become a kind of mud a mix of green blood, and their sweat and saliva that dripped from their mouth as they roared. The robed figure stands on the edge of the platform and raises his staff into the air as he does there is a clap of thunder and they all stop. He begins to speak again very loudly to the whole group. The leader who had joined the fray made his way back to the platform. Lightning began to fall all around the perimeter of the gathering. Then once more let out a roar and they all echoed back.

Meg The Heavenly Merchant
Updates once a week.(This is a rough draft) Author's Note: This story has grown in ways I did not predict and while it still features a merchant those aspects have gotten less page time than the fighting and romance elements. I have updated the description to represent the story better) For the past fourteen years Meg has dedicated herself to walking the path of a Heavenly Dragon Knight in her favorite videogame, Tattered Realms:Chaos Age. But now the game is shutting down and everyone wants to know what she plans to do for the sequel. Meg isn't sure at first. She knows only that she yearns for the days when she could lose herself in a game without worrying about boss strategies and crushing her rivals. And when her friend suggests playing a merchant her heart is filled with the same wanderlust and inspiration that launched her gaming career in the first place. But if she isn't dominating dungeons and setting records will people still watch her play? And can she really walk away from all the fighting for a quiet life of buying and selling?

For King and Kin: A Fox's Journey
Two fox-kin siblings set out to serve a human king, hoping to secure ties with the royals that had formed in times of war. Yet, much is demanded of them as their father's reputation precedes them. They find the King struggling to keep his vassals from breaking the terms of the armistice. With reports of smuggling increasing and the nation's strategic resources at stake, their father is sent to oversee the border. The king, fearing for his own children, hopes for six more months. Meanwhile, tavern brawls turn bloody as a cry spreads across the land, "Loyalty? Or bread!". What to expect: - cold steel weapons with magic- colonial-esque era- elements of strategy (including logistics)- powerful mages that can't block a crossbow bolt. Except for some earth mages.- realistic depictions of violence. I don't care to focus on it. - other races introduced eventually, if they fit. - Australian english, except when I slip. Not much slang though, I reckon.
