“Talk about heartburn!” cried out Ella back in the airlock. Sahara and Dian nodded.
“Are you kidding me? Getting electrocuted is way worse,” said Phila. “And whose dumb idea was it to have me go and pose as a diva?”
“I’m sure all of our injuries are equal, but I have to put something out here,” said Nadia. “Before the week ends, I want our team to be able to beat the divas.”
“Okay, oh wise one, tell us your plan,” said Phila, growing a pad of paper and pencil out of her hands. “Tell me, I want to take notes.”
“That’s even creepier than before,” said Sahara, giving Phila a playful shove. Phila jutted spikes out of her skin.
“Pretty cool, right? If I can think it, I can do it,” she said, bragging.
“Ok can you do hybrids? Do me with Sahara’s hair and Nadia’s eyes, and then make both your hands machine guns,” said Ella.
“I can’t fire them though,” said Phila, complying to the request. “I can’t split myself!”
“That would be funny, though. Would you split into two Phila’s? Could we clone you that way?” joked Dian, but she clenched her jaw when she laughed because the pain in her heart hurt so much.
“The problem with the suits is they let you feel all the pain of being killed,” said Nadia, stretching her back. “But you don’t actually get hurt. I think that seems to make the pain last longer.”
“That’s probably why they give us an hour to recover after the games,” said Ella grumbling. “I thought you said we would learn in this class.”
“Every other day is game day, tomorrow we have power practice,” said Dian. “I think next game day is either capture the flag or turf wars.”

“Okay I worked out the entire plan in my head. In two days we have Capture the Flag. There are three teams for that instead of six, so two teams will combine into one,” said Nadia. “Phila is out theif. She will sneak across the border and steal the flag. Now, the flags emit a strange light when taken so she will be caught immediately. This is where Ella, you and Sahara come in. Ella will hold onto Sahara as she swoops down to a designated location to pick up the flag. Sahara will grab onto the flag and have a force field stretched around her and Ella. Then, you guys will fly to our side protected. Dian and I will be on defense, protecting our flag so it doesn’t get stolen. And Phila, I’m sorry but you’re definitely going to die this round.”
“If it means we get to eat first, and beat the divas, I’m okay with it,” said Phila, her hair going yellow for excitement. “And besides, I’ll come back to life.”
“Hopefully,” muttered Dian before they were released for lunch.
