《Stairway to Heaven》Update

Dear Reader,

I hope you have all been doing well this past year!

Stairway to Heaven is a project near and dear to my heart, and I have been trying to bring it to life for a few years now. When I initially wrote this, though, I had a very different perception of the concept and overall story. There are characters that I can no longer see in the same light and plot developments that I feel need to be properly revised and reassorted to properly fit the timeline in a sensical, impactful manner.

Despite the threat of writer's block and my indecisiveness, I can wholeheartedly say that my stubborn nature and younger self refuse to let this story die without being told. I also, however, recognize that I have a fear of the classical pitfalls—cliches, genre killers, and the stereotypical pairings and developments that draw readers away from works entirely.

Originality is a dead art disguised in the creolized remains of other works, and creativity hinges on a writer's ability to create new threads to hide the roots. I am currently learning the depth of writing and this statement itself, and I'm trying to apply what I read and write. Stairway to Heaven, in my mind, has the potential to do great things if I spend time curating it to the best of my ability, and I'm working to make that dream a reality.

On that note, I would like to announce my revised work-in-progress, Adamas. It's a story that follows a similar cast of characters and expands the worlds of Stairway to Heaven in a newly improved manner. I hope to churn out chapters that do my initial concept justice and also manage to bring a much more fulfilling story to the table.

I can't wait to share this story and embark on a new adventure with you all. I appreciate the help I have received up until this point and hope to hear more from the community. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
