synopsis
you ever hear about how those people get isekai into another world. Did you know the most popular way for that to happen is for 'them' to be ran over by a rather large truck. Did you know, the owner of said truck has installed all kinds of monitoring equipment on said truck and has to pay all kinds of 'extra' fees for his insurance. Did you know this causes the gods who are in charge of truck isekai no small amount of frustration? Listen to one man's struggle against the three main forces in a mans life. Gods, the government and his wife.
-----
John Tucker had a simple life. Born in 1982, he grew up in a rural community. A graduate of high school and a single child. He did not have much, but he had enough. He married his highschool sweetheart and soon got a job running delivery of produce locally grown to a canning company and then those cans to markets. It was a straightforward job that paid well and he could spend enough time with his wife that she would not become lonely while not spending too much time with her. He kept that balance for over a decade and two kids. Until his life changed.
Wilma Tucker, John’s mother, passed away in the spring of 2021 and after almost a full year the life insurance company finally paid out the insurance. Dona wanted to use the money to take a trip (alone naturally) but the money was in John’s name alone. After setting aside some of it for his kid’s college funds. He decided he had enough working for other people. He wanted to work for himself. Having a few high school buddies he could finally have an excuse of ‘work’ to toss them some money as hired hands and buying a medium truck for hauling cargo. John started the ‘Tucker Trucker Hauling & Shipping Company’ (are not responsible for transportation of cargo outside of loading and unloading of vehicle)

Summer 2022, the company is doing well. Getting jobs to move furniture or emergency shipments of supplies reliably and quickly started to make a name for himself. John was feeling pretty good with his life. His wife wasn’t as happy, but the kids were enjoying their dad being around more than two days a week. His friends were loving him, only after he paid them, but his attitude quickly changed from being their friend to their boss and they learned about this change.
John sat at the red light and put the truck into park for a moment to check on the camera behind him. The red dot shining was all he needed to know the camera was recording as he turned back. A month prior one of his friends decided to ‘take a break’ with his girlfriend for two hours causing him to pay a penalty that killed his profit margin for the job. In return John had to put his friend on two weeks unpaid suspension and made him pay a fine for the damages. Looking back out to the street he saw the light about to change and set the truck back in gear at it changed. With a smile on his face he thought about his kids as he came upon a school.
The goddess Yurlie looked upon the Earth with a sigh. The Japanese market was tapped out, and had been for decades. Too many kids were literally throwing themselves in front of good ol’ truckchan (child suicide rates are the highest in the world because of the isekai rumor.) Besides they had all those customs they thought were normal, until they realized they were human, (or whatever creature they reincarnated to. Kinda pointless to bonzai when you crawl on your belly anyways.) and start assimilating into the new world's norms. Early on when the hit’s were rare. The goddess could just point at a soul and Earth’s governing forces would allow it. But when more kids started dying this way than any other, combined, she had to look elsewhere. In the beginning she tried nearby locations. The Philippines were dark and corrupted. Same for most of south east asia countries on the continent. Too many with gamer mentalities. Too much anime influence. This is where she gets her demon lord and dungeon candidates from. Northern asia is a whole nother issue. She picked one up from there and they just became a farmer. Ever heard a hero save a world by farming? Yurlie didn’t until then. Ironically, that world is doing better than over 90% of the others she picked up randomly. Africans and South Americans seemed to make great warlord generals. Being able to conquer many rapidly with brute force. Europeans tended to get outright killed. North American’s, they were a massive headache to get. Not like in some Asian’s countries, where you could literally have random trucks fall on a kid and no one would bat an eyelash, North America made truck incidents super hard and rare with kids as the only collateral. Sure the Americans had a higher education standard and oddly enough a semi appropriate mentality due to the fact their country is old enough to know of primitive lifestyle compared to other ‘older’ countries. But it is still young enough to be malleable to change. Plus lots of gods love that free will vs destiny challenge. Feeling bored for the search for an acceptable soul on her list, Yurlie picked a random truck that meets the qualifications for a ‘truckchan meeting’ that was in an area she could be allowed to do it.

John slowed down for the school zone. The high schoolers were standing around in the parking lot of the school, but some were walking home. It was not unexpected. After all, there were a lot of houses in the neighborhood. Just in case he slowed down even more as years of driving truck has taught him that pedestrians, especially kids, do stupid things. As John was starting to pass the exit of the parking lot he heard a roar. He barely saw the street racer car before it barreled in front of him. However the car did not make it as the rear tire clips his bumper, sending the racer rolling into a school bus in the opposite lane. Still, hitting the breaks, he knew something else was wrong, something much worse.
Yurlie was proud of this one. The jacked up kid with the brand new car was slated to die down the road when he ran a stop sign right into another school bus, but this way, Yurlie got the girl that was walking down the street when the racer bumped into her trying to stabilize when the driver punched it and fishtailed. The poor girl had her head crushed seconds later when the truck stopped in top of it. Quickly snatching the prize before the local reapers can claim it, she took the sleeping soul to the appraisal offices with a smirk on her face. Just for fun she marked the truskchan and called it a day.

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.

Nightmare Infinity
God's Dimension was created for the purpose of evolution. It would push its chosen through countless trials, horrors and nightmares to fulfill this goal. Only through the constant threat of death will humanity be forced to evolved. The chosen are those who have given up on life. Those who have nothing to live for, and those who life has nothing to offer. With the hope of finding that meaning, they enter God's Dimension. In the beginning God used the stories of mankind to create these trials. Sending the chosen into the worlds of monsters and demons, and granting them the powers of the inhabitants of those worlds. But with man's evolution God changed these trials, sending the chosen into new and more dangerous worlds, which in turn granted them access to the powers of those worlds. The first change came when God sent the chosen into the worlds of horror and action movies: Alien, Predator, The Grudge, Nightmare on Elm Street, Starship Troopers, and many more. The second change came when God included the worlds of Anime, Manga, and Light Novels into its trials: Fate/Zero, Btoom, Highschool of the Dead, Akame ga Kill, Naruto, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Terra Formars and many more. Now God has changed the trials once again and included the worlds of Video Games into its trials. In recent years the number of video games that come out each year has skyrocketed. More worlds, greater challenges, and increased danger await the chosen of God's Dimension. No one, even the veterans of God's Dimension, knows how this will affect them. The number of powers and worlds God's Dimension allows access to has once again increased, but will they survive long enough to make use of them? *Warning* This story is a Terror Infinity fanfic and will heavily cross over with different video games, anime, and manga. I will try to use ones which have already well known stories so as to not spoil anyone. Though I might change it up here and there to keep the plot interesting. Another warning is that this story will, or at least try, to show the despair and horrors each character went through. There will be a some gore, mature content, and some pretty disturbing stuff, but nothing too much. A story is meant to entertain and a grimdark gorefest is not that pleasant to read.
