《Fais Toi Plaisir》Chapter 3: Bloodlust

“Do you know why I kill?” I asked.
The drunk man almost beat out of life. Begging for his life.
I sat at his bed asking him questions as if he is my therapist. Apparently I’ve been asking so much questions, he bled out.
Talk about being rude. I left the room being tired as usual.
It’s the middle of the night and people are still awake.
Well, we are on a cruise. It wouldn’t hurt to go have a few drinks before I sleep.
That’s what I thought. I woke up with a bomb hangover.
My brain feels like it exploded. I stood up—and immediately fell back down. Apparently I’m the lightweight. I don’t even drink much. I’m 25 and 6’3.
I wonder if Reimi can handle it, she’s only 5’11.
Dad was Russian-Australian, Mom was Chinese-French. They were both fairly tall.
4 more days before we land to Morocco. I might as well read some newspapers.
“13 Mafia Members killed in Japan”
Probably Reimi’s work. She’s an assassin and a hitman.
Uncle paid her handsomely.
“The Prideful serial killer has been killing again”
Jeez, they finally took notice. Took me 6 kills before being noticed. Dad could’ve had attention with only 2.
I’ve got a long way to go.
“Another invention!”
Good on you, Mr. Inventor.
What should I do to pass the time? We’re in the middle of the ocean, don’t think the radio would work.
I should just watch more TV, or I could sharpen my knives… My knives.
I ran to my room trying to find my knives. We had a family heirloom, two knives that Dad made. He made a pair, gave one each to me and my sister.
It was the knife I mostly use during my killing. Reimi hid her side of the knife.

I found it, it was under the case I brought.
The only reason I went to Morocco; find our ancestors’ home. Dad said all the things we needed are kept their.
The keys were the knives.
“Stab it 3 times,” Dad said. So that’s what I will do when I reach it. Apparently our forefather was a torturer. Seems our bloodline is always connected to the killing. The knife he used was hidden in the house’s main room.
I went out of my room to get some air.
“Hey, Junior.”
Junior? Ah, Charlotte. Mom’s two-time accomplice. She helped them burn evidence at The Cocktail Massacre.
“Tell me, junior. Do you still sleep soundly?”
Some people can’t handle being a murderer. They would go through the 5 stages of grief. I didn’t.
Dad taught me and my sister to not have a conscience.
Having a conscience is the biggest weakness.
I walked away being annoyed. Charlotte didn’t help to avoid my parents’ execution.
Once we land, I’ll kill her.
2 days before arriving in Morocco.
Starship Cruise has 5 floors, one of them better have an electronics store. I need to buy a phone, threw my old one to avoid evidence.
I walked from floor to floor trying to find a shop. I found it at the 5th floor.
“I’ve… been… trying…” I panted.
Finally, I found it. An electronics store. I bought a phone and went to the balcony.
“Come on Reimi. Pick up your phone.”
I talked with Reimi for an hour to talk about the ancestral house in Morocco. We were to meet at the house after 3 days, 10:00 PM.
I caught Charlotte following at the corner of my eye.
I ran away and she followed suit. I led her to a dead end.

Charlotte snuck in her customized deck of cards. All sharp enough to cut off a finger.
Charlotte threw a King of Spade followed by a 4 of Clover.
I ran straight to her, in an attempt to kill her. She threw 5 cards. I didn’t avoid one of them. It cut my forearm.
I was both left-handed and right-handed.
With only 5 meters between us, I leaped to kill her from above. In a last-ditch effort, she threw all her remaining cards. Most of them missed but some hit my body.
I stabbed her in the middle of the head. I twisted the knife around before taking it out. As revenge, I cut both her arms off and threw it to the ocean, I also slice her tendons for her to bleed out.
I threw her to the dumpster at the back of the cruise.
“What a gaffe,” I said.
I took a shower then went to bed.
“Wake up, junior.”
That voice. Its moms.
“You failed, Junior.”
I didn’t fail. I didn’t fail. I didn’t fail.
Her face became distorted and melting.
I woke up with a cold sweat.
“A nightmare?”
I’ve been killing for over a decade. This is my first time to have a nightmare.
I killed Charlotte. Mom’s closest friend and accomplice.
Was it the reason that I had a nightmare?
I should get some air. Uncle has some questions to answer.
Less than a day left before Morocco landing.
Should I sleep till we land or I should spend a day in the bar.
“I’ll have a cocktail.”
I found the other people who accompanied the drunk man I killed.
I pulled out a class picture when I was in college. There was one of my closest friend. Sarah.
We haven’t met each other since graduation, we said our goodbyes and gave each other a tight hug.
She never knew my job. I never knew she died.
She worked at a bank after a year we graduated.
The bank was held by 6 people. Sarah was a fighter.
She brought one down, only to be gunned down. It was in vain.
2 were arrested, 1 was gunned down, the last one escaped alone.
I don’t kill when I have a personal vendetta.
This one is different though. She was my only friend. I avoided people because I didn’t want to get them hurt.
I wanted to leave the department early to visit her funeral.
They didn’t accept it, instead, I was given over time.
I visited her the day later, left some roses, and said my goodbyes.
The two that were arrested came to my precinct to have a mugshot.
I took them to the back and killed them both.
30 minutes till Morocco Landing.
“The knife shall open the house.”
Reimi should help me in the house.
Forefather’s equipment should still be sharp enough.
They probably miss the taste of blood and the user’s bloodlust.
This should be fun.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
