《Beginning Of Reality》Chapter III: Birth of a God

Wrecker asked Reality, "Why do the eyes glow, it seems as if it is something trapped within and indeed not a statue?" Reality said, "It is not living, I had studied it for many thousands of years, I would know otherwise. Why do you say it may be an actual being trapped within?" Wrecker said, "When my court wizard betrayed me and locked me into my throne this was very reminiscent of what I had looked like, only my eyes still glowed with power." Revian asked, "You were trapped in stone?" Wrecker said, "No, I was cursed and over a roughly a thousand years the dust that filled my castle encased around me, and entombed me, that is much like what I see here." Krium said, "If it is then how did you free yourself from it?"
Wrecker said, "I did not free myself, the curse was lifted when the last of my creations had been slaughtered by the wizard. When He attacked my castle with his full power He had the aid of the guardians of the land. Little did they know He was using them for their power and support. I knew many of those wizards and was good friends with one. The one whom I knew the best had a daughter, and at the time they did not allow daughters to arise to join their order, only sons. I changed that and allowed his daughter to succeed him."
"Her repayment of that was to alter the curse, as she was not strong enough to break it. Once I awoke, the bones of my first creation were wrapped around my throne, and my castle was more of the mountain is sat upon than when I first carved it from the cliffs. I killed the wizard, and tore a massive wake of destruction across the land. It was the most power I had ever felt, and the most anger since my family was killed. As for this fountain however, whatever power seems to hold it is a mystery to me. Anyone have any ideas?"
Atlas jumped into the fountain and walked towards the statues closest foot. He laid a hand upon it and said after a very long pause, "This statue is indeed what Wrecker has said, it is alive." Reality said, "That is impossible, I had ran every test that we could think of, nothing in this Realm could say it is alive." Atlas turned to Reality and said, "I am not of this realm now am I? Let us see about cracking it open shall we." Atlas placed both of his hands upon the statue and began to pour energy into it. After a few moments the statue began to crack and give way.
Atlas retreated out of the fountain as massive chunks of stone fell down to where He was standing and joined the others to whatch. The Five watched as the statue seemed to come alive and Reality could not believe what He was seeing. All of his time and research efforts were wrong. He then turned to look upon Atlas and He thought to himself, 'What if I am wrong about him? What if He chooses the other path?' His thoughts were interupted by the massive being slamming its fist into the courtyard. It then let loose a thundering bellow that shook everything around them, in fact it shook the entire realm.
The being slowly began to shrink and then as if exhausted fell face first into the fountain. Revian and Krium rushed in to pull the mysterious being out of the fountain and drug him back to the others. Reality studied the being with great intensity while Wrecker and Atlas had a conversation. Atlas began, "Good eye there with the statue, it seems we have seen enough within our worlds that even Reality is unable to comprehend." Wrecker said, "Our experiences were very different Atlas, I avenged my families death, you were simply power hungry." Atlas laughed and said, "Morals are very subjective, do not forget that the power we all possess makes us the ones who decide what is right or wrong. We both destroyed many things for our goals, I simply was carried by anger the whole way. We are not so different as you might think."

Atlas gestured to Revian, Krium, and Reality and said, "They all have stories of revenge Wrecker. We all do. It is no secret why we are here, it is for Reality's revenge. Once this is all over He will cast us out as we no longer are needed, our purposes will have been fulfilled. We will have a chance once this is all over, a chance to finally attain the thing we have never had control of." Wrecker asked, "What would that be?" Atlas said, "Our destiny. We have been slaves to Reality since the moment we were born, everything that happened to us was his plan all along. He took your family from you, not the Orcs. He took my life from me for his own selfish goals." Wrecker laughed and said, "As you said, morals are subjective. He at least gave me a reason to fight, unlike you. You were nothing more than a weapon pointed down range. Revian and Krium are brothers, they had a reason to fight each other. Reality has a reason to fight against those who banished him lest you forget that."
Wrecker continued, "We are nothing alike Atlas, you are nothing more than a savage on a chain, and that is what you will always be. We have a purpose here, do not forget, or I will show you no more mercy than I did that traitorous bastard Kronen." Wrecker walked away from Atlas after that, his mind began to fill with anger. Suddenly He was hit from behind by a blast of fire. He spun around to see it was Atlas who had done it. He became enraged and lashed back at Atlas with several blasts of his own.
The other Three turned to see Wrecker and Atlas battling each other. Revian and Krium went to break it up but Reality said, "No, let them fight. This will show us more about Atlas, and even more about Wrecker that I hope to know." With hesitation Revian and Krium did what they were told and did not intervene. Reality turned back to the being that came from the statue and asked in the ancient tounge of his people, "Who are you and why were you trapped within that statue?" The being looked up at Reality and said in the same tounge, "I am Bel-Roth, and I was not trapped, I volunteered for it, for this moment." Reality asked, "What moment?" Bel-Roth pointed towards Atlas and Wrecker mid battle and said, "To witness the birth of a new god."
Filled with questions and confusion Reality turned to watch Atlas and Wrecker throw around immense power with ease towards each other. With each attack they threw at each other, their power seemed to cling, as if it was gathering for a purpose. All those who watched this battle could see the power within the very air, a fiery red glow that grew and grew as more and more attacks were thrown by Wrecker and Atlas. Atlas had grown tired of being a puppet and reached out to leech the power from Wrecker, in response to this Wrecker did very much the same. This surprised Atlas a great deal but He still tried to draw power from Wrecker.
In doing this the two warriors felt all of the pain they had caused and recieved over their long lives, they also experienced each others. This brought much into perspective from each of them that they in fact were not so different. This display of horrific power was brought to a sudden halt by a deep crimson cyclone opened beneath where they were standing. They both slowly began to rise from the ground and spin around in a circle. They reached such a speed they were not able to escape no matter how hard they tried, and all the power that hung within the air coalesced within the bottom of the cyclone.

In an instant the cyclone vanished, causing Wrecker and Atlas to be flung far away from the courtyard and at the epicenter of where the cyclone was sat a being that radiated and glowed a fiery golden color. This being was kneeled down on one knee and it's head was bowed, bowed towards Bel-Roth. Bel-Roth struggled to stand btu managed to do it and He slowly made his way towards the fiery being. Bel-Roth said, "You are born from fire, and you are the embodiment of destruction. Do what you were made to do, Kieran the Destroyer. Cleanse our once great realm in fire." Once Reality heard this He yelled to Revian and Krium, "To arms warriors, we have a problem."
Revian and Krium rushed Kieran and attempted to attack him but instead were thrown helplessly away from him in a fiery inferno. Reality then charged and to much the same result. Reality called to his warriors, "We must retreat and find the others, we cannot take it without them." As the Three of them rushed away from the Courtyard in search of Atlas and Wrecker Kieran stood. His massive body of molten rock and scorching fire shone a red glow all around, He sprouted massive wings and stretched them out wide and he took flight.
Reality watched as Kieran flew away, and He could not comprehend what He was seeing. He thought to himself as He searched for Atlas, 'What was that infernal thing. Kieran the Destroyer? It seems those who created us knew what we would become and planned on annihilating us. We need to gather our strength, we need....we need to survive.' Shortly after the Three had left the courtyard Reality had sent Revian and Krium to look for where Wrecker landed, while he went to look for Atlas. He soon found Atlas, and He came upon a scene of utter chaos. When Atlas was thrown from the cyclone his power was still being released and was thrown about. He ran past hundreds of what once used to be stores of a marketplace and came upon a massive crater within the ground.
In the very center of this Crater was Atlas who did not move, white smoke rolled off of his body. Reality rushed down to Atlas and said, "Are you alive Atlas? You better be because we have a more imminent problem to worry about." Atlas slowly lifted his head and asked, "What the hell happened?" Reality said, "Your fight with Wrecker caused a being called Kieran the Destroyer to be born, and He is on a mission to destroy this realm. Can you fight Atlas?" Atlas stood up, and looked down at his hands and He could once again feel the very energy within the ground, the air, and the very realm He stood within. Atlas said, "I... I feel powerful." Reality questioningly asked, "What do you mean by that Warrior?" Atlas said, "Whatever just happened, I feel as though it made me stronger. Where's Wrecker?"
Reality said, "Revian and Krium are going to find him, we must regroup." Atlas said, "No, we must free the other." Reality asked, "What other? What are you talking about?" Atlas said, "Revian and Krium must do the same as we did, it will free the only one capable of killing Kieran, you must trust me on this Reality." Reality said, "Come now, we must go to Revian and Krium who hopefully have found Wrecker by now." As they clambered out of the crater caused by Atlas when He impacted the ground Atlas laughed and said to Reality, "Is it sad this is not the biggest impact crater I've made with my body?" Reality said, "No, I have seen the other one remember."
Reality and Atlas met up with Revian and Krium who had found Wrecker. Revian had told Reality much the same was found when they first came upon Wrecker. Wrecker said to Reality once He saw him, "I have told Revian and Krium what they must do already, you need to trust me on this Reality. They must do what Atlas and I did, it is the only way to stop Kieran." Reality said, "I will trust both of you. Revian, Krium come here warriors, I have one thing to teach you." Reality taught the both of them the same ability Wrecker and Atlas had, and they did much the same as they both did, however this time it was not a fight of anger, but of brotherhood.
The energy was a deep blue instead of a crimson, and a nearly identical cyclone was created. Wrecker and Atlas stood prepared for the seperation of Revian and Krium but to their surprise they had been let down slowly and not hurtled off into the distance. Wrecker and Atlas were a bit confused but mostly annoyed that Revian and Krium had a much more pleasant experience than they did but it turned out that they were right. Another being of pure power was created out of the cyclone of energy. Reality approached this being and said, "You rise out of brotherhood, I do not know your name but I do know your purpose. Stop Kieran the Destroyer and save this Realm from annihilation." The being stood and said to Reality, "I am Korick the Restorer, and I will galdy protect this Realm." As Korick took flight and pursued Kieran the Five warriors stood and were amazed by what they had seen.
It was not until what Atlas said next that made the Celestial Gates make perfect sense to Reality after all these eons of time. Atlas said, "You know now that I think about it, they were a spitting image of that gate I destroyed earlier were they not Reality?" Reality said in response, "I think that is the most helpful thing you have said thusfar Atlas. You are right, those two are who the Celestial Gates were built to mirror. It seems even in this realm everything requires balance." Atlas said, "Where there requires balance, there requires one whom balances it." Wrecker said, "Bel-Roth." The Five of them all agreed that Bel-Roth was in need of dealing with, the two forces of pure power would deal with each other, they would deal with the one whom they thought responsible, they would face Bel-Roth.

Peerless Hegemon
Warning: Can be quite tearjerking and depressing (or so others say). If you are weak to that and hates that kind of thing, then this story is not for you === Ye Feng lived two lives in one lifetime. First, he basked in the light of Righteousness, becoming an idol of peace and justice. Second, he trod the mired path of the Darkest Path, becoming an object of fear and death. One lifetime, Two Identities, countless experiences, still without purpose. A meaningless existence. An empty husk. In his selfishness of wanting to fill the void in him, he became the catalyst that destroyed Reality. He now controlled everything, ultimate power, uncontestable by none. But he cast it away, to be reborn anew. With a new name and a family, his goal was to understand, his place. To understand how to no longer feel empty. With his family consisting of a Reincarnated Twin Sister and Parents with inscrutable pasts, his desire was not that of grandeur. In this lifetime, he wishes not to hold power, not to gain eternal life, nor control of everything, he only wishes to live, and hopefully look at sunrise with a smile on his face. === Disclaimer: The story focuses on the Main Character’s emotional and personality growth. He is someone who is, obviously OP in some perspectives but almost crippled in others. He is not soft and does not spare anyone because it is “Bad” so expect that there would be genocide and some bloody encounters. I want this instead of just the MC’s search for life and its complication. Where Philosophy and values exist. A story where every action has proper consequences, and not everything can be conquered with a single punch (unless it can be, no need for an unnecessary complication if it can be avoided). Further Notes: This is a story that will gradually increase in word counts and become Chunkier as it progresses and will almost never be below 2000 words, but if the word count will only lengthen the chapter at the expense of a finished tale, it could and would be cut off before 2000 mark), give it a try, it won’t disappoint (I hope). And if by chance that you like it, giving a good Rating and Review will be encouraging to me and possible readers. Schedule: Monday and Friday If you want to read ahead and/or support me to creating this story, you can do it through my Patreon (link below the next chapter button.) When their paths converge, even the false gods will take notice. * * * Hello and thank you for giving Divine Intervention Online a chance. This is not my first book (that honor belongs to The Flock by Chris Sauter- available on Amazon). This is hopefully going to become my second book, the first of a planned LITRPG trilogy. This is a labor of love, dedicated to my absolute obsession with the LITRPG genre that has held me in its grasp for over 3 years. There will be dark situations that perhaps only adults should read including: slavery, violence and the results of war. There will be no harems, little profanity, but possibly some triggers for people who don’t like torture, violence, and other dark stuff.
