Brick jumped into the space between WatchDog and Trigger. Rey jumped into the space between Glyph and EagleEye.

Using their pointed bones, they try to stab the riders. But to their disappointment, the dog moks came into the fight as well. Both Rey and Brick were confronted by 2 dog moks each. Although not too strong, the dog moks are still annoying. Although not too fast, they can still dodge the stabs of Rey and Brick. As for attack, they mainly use their fangs to bite. Although the dog moks themselves cannot injure Rey and Brick, both of them also can’t do anything to the riders who are not evening moving. But strangely, the last dog mok don’t leave its post. It is still sitting at its place.

It looks like they can’t leave their post during the ceremony for it to succeed? Whether correct or wrong, the riders not moving is a very good thing for us. It would make our plan easier and less dangerous. Luck really is on our side tonight.

“Saber, continue. Don’t bother the small fries. They can’t even do anything to our pet moks.” said EagleEye.

The reason I didn’t jump out along with Rey and Brick to the battlefield is to check if there is any hidden danger. Now that I’m sure there is no hidden danger, I don’t need to make Rey and Brick abandon their mission. It’s time for me to do my part.

They, along with their pet moks, were about to fight Rey and Brick.

But this time, Rey and Brick didn’t even give them a look. They just turn and fled in the direction I’m fleeing.

I’m running in the front with the injured SaberTooth on my shoulder. Because of my stabs, his four limbs are not usable right now. It looks like he is in so much pain. Rey and Brick are about 5 meters behind me. They are running at a constant speed.

Then, they stopped running. They jumped to the trees and using the vines, they swing back to the riders. When the reach above Glyph and EagleEye, they just passes without doing a thing. Glyph and EagleEye also don’t care about them.

“Yes, that’s it. My plan works” I was glad that my bet works. Glyph and EagleEye, as they stated, are the parents of Saber. They must dote on him very much. The whole set up is as far as I know, for their son. And when I attack SaberTooth, they abandon their attack on Rey and Brick. They only focus on me. So, I bet they wouldn’t choose to attack Rey and Brick instead of following me.

I continue running. Glyph, EagleEye and Trigger continue following me. But WatchDog along with his pet mok is not following anymore. He is now in a fight with Rey and Brick.

After some minutes later, I stopped running. I placed SaberTooth on the ground and waited for the riders. When they reach a certain distance, I shouted – or - signaled “Now”.

Bark and his 5 men came out surrounding the 3 riders and 3 pet moks.

“You want to make my niece a sacrificial object? You want to ruin my dear niece? All of you must die miserably in my hand.” Old man Bark told the riders very angrily.

The riders were surprised. They have never imagined there would be more people waiting to ambush them.

“Cank…..” Glyph yelled and rushed to me. The other two also rushed to me or to SaberTooth. Old man Bark and the 5 people in their soul fusion state who have already encircled the riders move forward to join the fight.

The riders are real veterans. Although they are being ambushed, they can still hold on. Old man Bark and the 5 men were using many fancy attacks. One of them has iron right hand. One of them has blade leg. One of them is very fast. And so on. But they were not able to injure the riders. However, the riders are not in a good shape.

And that’s before I joined the battle. Once I take out my pointed bone and joined the battle, the balance was breached. Glyph and EagleEye’s hatred is too obvious. I can feel their killing intent just from their eyes.

Because Glyph and EagleEye were too obsessed with killing me, their concentration are not at the normal state anymore. Their attacks become reckless. They become too fierce. But their pet moks were not able to cooperate with them well anymore.

I am being suppressed. Even though we are at an advantage as a whole, I’m really in a bad shape. And that goes the same for Trigger. He and his dog mok is sandwiched between 3 of our people. It looks like he is trying to abandon Glyph and EagleEye to escape.

I had to dodge EagleEye’s fists and unexpected bites as well as Glyph’s freezing hands. I’m not fairing well. I wish old man Bark and other people would help me fight them to ease my burden.

Actually, they are fighting. It’s just that Glyph and EagleEye are focusing mostly on me. But I think due to their inability to injure me or because they notice they won’t win the battle as a whole, they reduced their attention on me and tried to get some breathes. And some time later, 7 of us have surrounded them again. All of us as well as the riders are panting.

“Time for Fusion Mok?” Glyph asked in a very tired voice.

“Okay” said Trigger.

“Desperate times call for desperate measure. It’s worth to save my son.”

Then, all of a sudden, “FUSION MOK…..” they shouted.

They have some kind of hidden what? Something to overturn the tide of the battle? To use some ability at a desperate time must be their life-savor or something powerful. I was worried. I wanted to stop whatever they were trying to do.

“Stop them. Stop whatever they are trying to do. Don’t let them succeed.” Bark yelled and continued the attack. Thanks to him, I don’t need to persuade anyone. I also raise my weapon (pointed bone) and joined the battle.

But, to our relief, nothing happened to Glyph and EagleEye. They were also startled. They looked around. And found that their pet dog moks are already dead. Their eyes were in disbelief. While they were too obsessed with killing me, their pet moks were killed by old man Bark and his company. But it is too late. In their daze state, our attack were enough to injure them. My pointed bone, a fist, a blade leg and some other abilities have injured the two of them.

Bark and 2 other men were attacking Trigger. Unlike EagleEye and Glyph, a black light cocoon form around Trigger. A strong gale suddenly started to blow. The trees were shaking left and right. And then, suddenly, “Boom” an exploding sound emerges.

Old man Bark and 2 men who attacked Trigger looked injured. They are lying on the ground groaning. But Trigger is nowhere to be seen.

I didn’t talk anything back. I just looked at him a while with a frown and went to Bark and 2 men to help them.

I looked at the place where I left SaberTooth but I don’t see him anymore. I was surprised. How did he manage to escape with all his limbs injured.

While I’m wondering, I saw Rey and Brick emerging from the bushes.

“Sorry, we weren’t able to handle WatchDog.” Rey said to me.

Both of them (Rey and Brick) are in a bad shape.

“Are you guys injured?” I asked.

“Just minor ones” Brick replied. And Rey continued, “WatchDog and his pet mok work pretty cooperatively and beat us after some time. But it looks like he is in a hurry. He left without finishing us. We were lucky to be able to speak to you.”

“Is that so?” I said. May be WatchDog is the one who saved SaberTooth.

“Go and save Larry. I’m fine. Just some shocks. It can’t kill me. Go and save Larry as fast as possible.” Bark told me.

That’s right. We have to save Larry and Black. So, I left Mr Bark and 2 injured men with 3 other people he brought.

Me, Brick and Rey went back to the ceremony ground to save Black and Larry.
