《A Hidden Secret(Cancelled)》V2 14: 11 Years Ago, 2140 #2

After the home invasion, Caden was signed up to a list where he would be sent to prison for a long time, but since he didn't have a home he was thrown out in the streets of angered people who still haven't forgotten the past and clearly heard the news of a traitorous family bringing in an enemy soldier into their house.
He was starved, ganged on by disgusting adults that didn't have any remorse beating the life out of a small child that had no developed mindset, everyone who walked had the urge to throw up from the sight of a small boy being covered in his own toilet that was forced upon him.
Cops that saw all this event happening, didn't even think twice about saving the poor boy, there were some events where the cops also joined in on the beatings.
Covered in bruises, an innocent image shattered in Caden's heart, his eyes screamed to him to sleep, his stomach screamed to him to eat, his throat screamed to him to drink. Everything changed sides and screamed at him, his own mind wanted him to hang himself.
It was when an army van pulled up, two men got out of the van and walked over to Caden, aggressively throwing him in the back of the shaking van. The back was rotten and filled with small children facing the same troubles Caden also faced.
"Bastards, I don't want to waste my time picking up disgusting rats!" Argued one of the men at the front.
"Leave them out of it. All the females in the back are going to experience the best pleasure ever when they become a subject anyway." The other man scoffed.
"How lucky~ Imagine catching a powered child? We'll be rich!" Laughed the maniac.

Caden sat up like nothing was happening and looked at all the children that didn't bat a single eye with him. He was smart to know where he was going, but he looked at the children who were happily humming away with lollypops sucked into their mouth.
"Give me one..." Caden weakly asked one of the children, it was a girl prisoner who wasn't dirty at all, she wore comfy cleaned clothes alongside the five other children. She looked at Caden with glaring eyes.
"Ew~ Get the hell away, you disgusting pig-" Her high authority voice annoyed Caden, his hands zipped onto the lollypop and forced it out of the girl's smirking mouth, causing the girl to scream from pain. Caden looked at the girl scream painfully and all he could think was to KILL HER.
"Ew? Really? Aren't you a fucking bitch." Caden snapped, feeling the car come to a massive stop, he looked at the drives spot and saw the two men stare at him with scared, horrible eyes.
"Oh, hello sirs. Please, continue...You're going to interrupt my playtime." Caden grinned.
The van shook violently as it drove down the main road into a closed-off section, all the guards spotted blood pour from out of the back and thought nothing of it. It eventually calmed down when the military van stopped in front of a business-suited man.
"Hm, looks like one already died." The businessman moaned, wiping the burger crust off his chin, he watched the soldiers check the back, once he saw them poke their heads around he saw their faces shift to a ghostly white shade. He looked at them with a concerned expression and clapped his wrinkly hands together like a prank was being pulled on him.
"What's up with you four? Playing a simple prank on me are you?" The man snickered while making his way around the back of the van, he turned his head into the van and saw one boy standing in the back of the van being covered in scattered blood.

"What the hell..." The man's voice slipped out, which caught the boy's attention. The boy twisted his grinning face around to look at the voice, Caden was sucking on a lollipop covered in blood he stole from the girl on the journey.
But that girl wasn't seen until the man looked more and saw the remaining of a brutalised girl laying on her side with a face that had no features but gushing blood that painted the walls from inside. The man glanced at Caden who kept his crazy stare on him this entire time.
"Oh, sorry. She was an important one, wasn't she?" Caden smiled cutely.
"W-What did you do to my daughter?" The man asked in shock, Caden looked at the girl with a surprised expression before looking back at the girl's father. Caden grinned and got on his knees.
"I'm sorry, your daughter died of an unknown cause~" Caden apologised with a sad mimicked voice.
"U-Uknown cause?! You clearly beat my daughter to death! Why didn't any of them stop you?!" The man yelled.
"Well, look at them all. They're paralyzed with PTSD, and I don't think your two lackeys would want to stop and reveal the world what the shitty government is doing, right?" Caden responded, waving his hands around at the frozen kids, then he patted both of the driver's heads like dogs. "They're quite loyal shitbags, aren't they? They couldn't do shit about the sounds of a screaming girl~" Caden laughed insanely.
Filled with bloodthirsty rage, the suited man threw his fist onto the deck, grabbing Caden by the neck and forcibly throwing him onto the ground, he then immediately stomped on Caden repeatedly until he heard laughter escape from Caden's mouth.
"Hahaha! Do you really think this would make me quiet?~" Caden giggled, freezing the man in his spot.
"You fucking crazy maniac!" The man screamed.
"And who were the ones who caused that?" Caden groaned as he struggled to his feet, he wiped the blood off his cheek and began speaking again.
"Who were the ones to betray public image with peace? Who were the ones to throw an abandoned boy out into the streets after forcing him to watch his beloved ones get beheaded?" Caden asked coldly.
"It wasn't me."
"It was you bastards."

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
