"Alright, I was just curious. No need for such to stare at me like that."
"My business motto is "you bring me the money, I bring you the goods"."
"And that's it. My customers privacy, I will not pry upon."

A humanoid salmon like entity was overseeing the operation from a cruiser class warship just above the planet's atmosphere.
'Where?! Where is that bastard had gone?!'
'I need to find him as soon as possible.'
This entity was known as Captain Quan, one of the successful people within the EF military. He was promoted to Captain after his several achievement within the war with the United Cosmos Alliance(UCA).
He was a person with calculative mindset. He would plan first before executing it because one must be cautious in his conduct or else something bad would happen.
The current situation was presumely not in his favor as his soldiers did not find any corpse or remnant which belong to Jabbra.
"What should I do?"
The captain was murmuring in distress. Their nation had only a few hours left or else the ICE will mobilise their troops.
Currently, some battalions had been stationed in several sectors near the EF border. When the time is up, these soldiers will strike with the heaviest strike one could get.
If other say that they will destroy a large organisation, people would think that he is insane. But this perspective did not applied to the Imperial Chrome Empire.
If they say it, then they will execute it because they never bluff when it comes to war. If anyone dares to disturb the interest of the Chromian, then be prepare for the worst retaliation one could ever imagine.

In the Zestra nebula, a human was chasing after a lizardman who was crawling in despair, trying to escape from his pursuer who was walking toward him in a calm manner.
"Lord Cavity, where are going?"
"Are you trying to avoid me, old friend?"

The movement of the human was so natural that one could mistake him as a person meeting an old friend. Each steps resonated like a rhythm to the extend that the thought of the human murdering his comrade would never come across one's thought.
"Rex. Can…we sort…this out?"
"I would love to help you…"
"Then, can you really tell them to withdraw their accusition?"
"But…"
The word "but" said by the human known as Rex sent a chilling sensation to Cavity, the lizardman. He had a bad premonition since he had been cornered by a single person.
The person chasing him now may looked innocent but he had the authority to execute any escaping criminals, fugitives or even traitors depending on the severity of the crime they commited.
If a person committed had a grave crime, death sentence will be in order. Only a few knew about this organisation which lurking in the shadow maintaining the public safety while reducing the corruption rate in a certain superpower.
The members were least in quantity but each of their quality was a top notch, one man army if one might describe them. They occupied all the classes of the citizen but they answered only the Overseer of the organisation or the founder and leader.
"You have comitted a grave mistake, milord."
"I'm afraid that you're too dangerous to be keep alive."
Rex who was resting both hands behind his back the entire time pull something out from it. A blue glowing gun was visible on sight.
'Where were those idiots?!'
'They should be here by now.'
The sight of his anxious target was spotted by the "hunter". He knew that something was odd but he decided to test his theory.
"There's no need to wait for back up."
Rex calmly "reassure" the lizardman as he tossed a badge which had a symbol of a lion on a shield with a sword facing down behind the former.
The lizardman looked at the badge and knew that something went wrong as the human remained calm in any tense situation such as facing an army of mercenaries.
'He's good-'
'No. Each one of them is an excellent assassin.'
Cavity was shivering sensed knowing death was just around the corner. The blue gun had its barrel aiming at the center of between the eyebrows.

Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline.
