《Bound in the Dark》Pyros Background
Advertisement
It's like any other day for ONE of our antagonists, Pyro. He's found lazing about before he prepares to go on and destroy some properties which for some reason has become his favourite pastime but what he does not expect is that he'll see someone who has deserted him for a long time.
Pyros POV:
"Well looks like today's gonna be a boring day like no other, guess it's about time to break in the new baseball bat..."
As soon as he exits his home he hears a voice that fills him with both anger and sadness.
This voice says: "No, you're still up to no good, after all this time I thought you'd shape up a bit and surpass me, but you're still a little brat, why'd I expect any better."
Pyro turns around and as soon as he does without warning tries to slug the person behind him.
But is stopped dead in his tracks.
The person grabs Pyro and flips him over using his body weight against him and as soon as Pyro hits the ground the wind gets knocked out of him.
Pyro tries to muster the breath to say these words:" You...you asshole, you abandoned us... you're no longer my Dad."
His father laughs but quickly becomes serious looking like he's about to kill Pyro but he doesn't and just mutters these words:" It's about time you know the truth, otherwise you'll be stuck throwing your anger at me where you should be directing it to..."
He pulls out a Pic of Shadow.
In shock Pyro answers:" The Dweeb, why? He's nothing but a loser and there's no way I'd forget that you deserted us don't change the subject."
Btw Pyros father has a name and its Inferno.
Inferno just responds with this:" Forget about that, it's not important and besides if you don't stop this boy you won't have anyone at all. I don't even think your tiny brain could comprehend my reasoning but know I didn't do it to hurt you...son."
"Shut up don't call me that! You have no right!"
"Oh but I do, I am your father after all and with that little outburst you're definitely my blood. So let me guess your mother sheltered you from the clan right?"
Pyro:" Clan? What crap are you talking about old man?"
Inferno:" You have no idea do you? You're part of the Infernus clan and that... wait, have you even awoken your Phoenix fire? I know you haven't I can see your ember is weak."
Pyro looking all confused has no idea what to say
Inferno:" Yeesh your mother huh, she'll be the death of us all."
Pyro jumps to say:" Buzz off! You dont get to say a word about Mom."
Inferno:" Relax hot head. I know you're attached to your mother but that doting and overprotectiveness of hers is why you know nothing about your life and what it means to the clan. So listen and shut up now. You're part of a clan that has survived over the centuries protecting this world from evil and darkness using their abilities to stop whatever may or may not destroy this world and you... you're a special case...in more ways than one."

Pyro responds:" This just sounds like a load of bull crap to me."
Inferno:" Remember what I said about shutting up. So you Pyro, have a thing called the Pheonix fire which in our clan is pretty rare and powerful but it comes with a price. Usually when you're born to the Infernus clan, you can choose to follow its rules and paths. But those with the Phoenix fire have no say whatsoever. The reason for your very life is to serve the clan and you cannot object no matter how much you want to, you'd have to devote your entire life to the clan once your ember awakens. But luckily for you, yours is just a spark which is why I served the clan in your place, so that you could have a normal life until it does awaken. Usually the ember of the Phoenix displays itself at birth but with you it stayed dormant. So I took it upon myself to be a temp. But now it looks like your ember is growing stronger and I need to show you how to control or at least use your abilities.
Pyro:" So you left because of some stupid clan?"
Inferno:" I left because it was the only way to keep you from a life of isolation and servitude. The clan is very strict, the only time you'd be able to leave is if you have to battle. You wouldn't even be able to see your mother or friends if you wanted to. But enough about that it's time for your training."
Pyro:" Training? Heck no! I'm not doing a single thing you say old man:"
Inferno:" Do you want your mother to die knowing you could've done something about the Cataclysm that's about to come."
"Cataclysm?" Pyro is left with only that thought in his mind.
Inferno:" Yes, it has all to do with that Boy and if you don't stop him not just your mother but everyone will die."
Pyro responds without a second thought:" Okay fine I'll do it."
Inferno:" Huh you'll do it? That's a quick response."
"Yeah you said I have to stop the dweeb, I don't need to even think about getting back at that loser."
Inferno:" No, this is not revenge it's to save the world, you can't let your petty squabbles get in the way."
Pyro just responds with a smirk and agrees but in his thoughts nothing but revenge runs through.
So for the past week Pyro and his father train his abilities. Pyro gets taught more on how to channel his flame, how to direct it and how to release it.
Inferno:" Yes that's it, just use your anger to fuel your actions, to fuel your flames but do not let it consume you otherwise you'd lose control, the Pheonix flame is an unforgiving one and would use you again and again to unleash itself. Its power is not in anger itself but the control of it. If you can control it you'd have a never ending supply of flames at your disposal."
At this point of training Pyro thinks he has a good handle on his flames.

Pyro:" Yeah I'm done here I got this in the bag. Woah check out the time! Gotta go Pops. Got school to go to."
As Pyro runs off his father thinks to himself:" Wow that's the first time Pyros called me anything but 'You', the idiot actually called me Pops, can't say I ain't happy about that one. Oops did I mention to him that the bird inside him has anger of its own and that he should stay away from evil for now while he's training. Nah probably not a problem since that thing hasn't shown itself yet and I'm guessing he tends to avoid that kid at school. Or does he?"
And right then a womanly voice that sounds shaken up says:" In...Inferno, you're back!"
Inferno just chuckles and says:" Yeah...I am."
As soon as Pyro gets to school he looks for Shadow, yeah he wants to inflict pain on our beloved Shadow, but for some reason he can't seem to find him so he gives up on his silly bout and just heads to class. While in class Pyro begins to radiate this obnoxious aura (even more obnoxious than usual) due to the fact that he knows Shadows secret and that he's going to be the one that stops him. At least that's what he thinks. While he's left gloating stupidly in his thoughts his friends call out to him.
"Yo Pyro let's go steal some shit after today, I'm bored as hell bruh. Yo Pyro? Yo Pyroooooo, you there dude? Ay earth to Pyro."
Pyro finally responds:" Huh oh yeah my bad, was just thinking of how I'm gonna kick this kids ass after school."
His friends just laugh and says:" Yeah that's the spirit! That's Pyro for ya. Kick his ass haha!"
And Pyro goes back to his thoughts. "So what does that depressed loser think he is, some sort of super villain, what a lame-o. Speaking of lame, I can't believe the one person who's been gone for so long just shows up and starts talking to me like nothing happened. Worst of all I actually called him 'Pops'. Guess I can do nothing about it but at least I can take my anger out on Shadow and Illume. One thing I get out of this is that I'll actually be able to roast them. I think I'll continue to play along with this whole clan story just so I can get what I want. I want more of this power. I want to use it to destroy who I hate. I need no one besides my mom anyway. Makes no difference if my so called 'Pops' is around or not, the damage is done."
School ends and Pyro forgets about Shadow for the moment because he wants to acquire more power. He heads straight home and looks for his father, but finds himself alone again.
"Oh, look he's not around, no surprise there, I guess. I knew this would happen. Can't believe I thought he'd stick around this time. Am I actually sad about this? No, no way, I can't actually want to see that loser now do I?"
Pyro turns around to find a note on the table saying:" Yo blockhead! Me and your mom have some catching up to do. I know she's sickly so I'll be sure to bring her back early. Don't worry, we can spend some time together when I get back. Don't cry Doofus. Your 'Pops'."
"Is he making fun of me? He better be back with mom or I'll make sure I hunt him down and kick his ass.
Pyro then let's out a little chuckle.
"Am I happy right now, what the heck, why am I smiling. Nah nah it's not cause of him, I'm happy cause mom finally gets to go outside."
If you're wondering about my mom then I'll tell you she's sickly with something called the Fire Emblem, sounds like some kind of game but it's TRUE for some reason ever since my father left she hasn't left the house and has become even more ill. I've been wondering if it's not because of the depression it brings to "lose" a loved one. But hey he's back now so I guess I should be happy for my mom then. And if she's out and about she must be feeling better than before and I guess I'm glad about that.
Okay so let's go to the place where Infernus and Pyros Mom are enjoying their alone time. They're at a diner close to the edge of town that has view of the hills and horizon.
Infernos Pov:
It's really been a while since I've gotten to see my lovely wife, I really missed her so.
"So honey I just want to say to you I'm sorry, I truly am. I know that with our clan if we end up in a relationship with our life partner we cannot seperate due to the fact that we then share our flames with one another and that if we separate even for a bit it takes a toll on the partner. I am really sorry that I had to leave, I really am, I know it must have been tough on both you and the kid."
She just responds with:" Honey I know, it's okay, I understand."
Inferno:" But..."
She stops Inferno from saying another word "It's okay my love. I understand and see I'm already feeling better now that you're back. I know what you did was for Pyro, I totally get it, there's no need for you to apologize. Just make sure you spend some time with Pyro he might never admit it but he missed you more then anyone."
Inferno is a bit surprised at her words but tries to assure her:" Honey I promise I'll be there for the both of you from now on."
She nods and puts her hands over his as the sun sets on this day. This might be the most peaceful time that they would ever see before the Cataclysm.

The Ramayana - Lakshmila's POV
We have read The Ramayana as kids and always knew it to be the story of Rama and his consort Sita. Every character has an important role to play. But not all of them have found much importance is any of the version. One such character is Urmila and her story with Lakshmana. All versions mention Urmila's sacrifice as "Unparalleled" but none depicted it. This story is an attempt to present the story of Ramayana from Urmila and Lakshmana's POV. Note : This story is fictional. The characters are the same. This story is an insight of The Ramayana through Lakshman and Urmila's eyes. There would be Nobody's POV also. The events are the same but the depiction is part of fiction. Parts of the story is loosely based/inspired from Sita's Sister but I have taken creative liberty to give my character more edge and depth.
