《Hunger for affection》Act I Homes | Reboot

"where I'm?"
Poor Rin wondered, when she woke up all hungry and in pain, as a result of the trembling she felt on the floor, and soon, she realized as she regained more and more her consciousness, that she was nowhere else than in a cart next to other slaves, on their way somewhere.
"It seems that they already picked me up and I'm on my way", Rin reasoned, being able to remember the brief mementos of consciousness before arriving and comparing it with her current situation, but this only brought a little calm to her curiosity and nothing more, since from this moment, she only had to wait for the fortune that would bring her at the end of her trip.
Fortunately for her and the others, the dealers had an appreciation for their wares, Unlike the darkroom where she was, so they were relatively well-fed, or at least enough to keep them going.
But sometimes, being active is not always good and even more so when you are locked up with nothing to do, having this much more weight in Rin, since even though they were all slaves without a future, they were still human.
The first days they denied her existence, limiting themselves to only insulting her about anything, about her origin, her figure, or her hair, which took more emphasis when she saw that she struggled desperately to smooth it out with her hand.
But this seemed normal to Rin, there was already a lot of experience of this, but the experience was not enough to prevent them from starting to attack her.
Some blows and spitting here and there were somewhat light but annoying but worsened when she began to secretly shave her ears, with some sharp stone but with total deficiency and pain, the latter unfortunately was noticed by the other slaves, who with great kindness, they helped her with their clumsy hands in waxing her not only with the stone but also pulling her hair.

The end, the result was not pleasant, as there were still some hair residues in addition to small cuts, but the worst thing was that the hair grows, and after two weeks of travel, the hair was already beginning to hide the skin of her ears.
Fortunately for Rin, as these weeks passed, the car had reached its destination, a city on a mountain in the west, more specifically, in a large residence located in some wealthy area, but this did not know, until The trafficker had taken her out of the cart and guided her to the front of the house and in front of a middle-aged woman, who by the way, when she saw her, reminded her of her old and bitter boss.
But reality continued, even if she was thinking, and soon that lady, after finishing negotiating with the trafficker, ordered poor Rin to follow her, beginning once again, a life of servitude.

Summoned
“Per aspera ad astra." Death. Mercilessly, it comes for all. But when a young man is given a second chance – a second life – to experience what he never has, what will he do? Leave the burdens of his past behind, improving upon his faults? Or will he collapse back into old sins, wasting the opportunity given to him? Perhaps even he himself does not know. * Join Andre on his journey as he explores a new world – one ripped straight from the pages of a D&D campaign he's never played. He will face monsters. He will face men. And above all, he will face himself. The story’s genre is your standard progression fantasy, isekai: magic, a system, and a level of technology suspiciously underdeveloped. I’ve borrowed tropes from various books I’ve read like “The Second Coming of Gluttony”. The similarities are there (particularly in the beginning), but I assure you the story is my own. It’s in the first-person perspective and has its own quirks, characters, and world for you to become immersed in. The upload schedule for this will be different from the usual fictions on this site: I’ll release chapters in batches rather than so many a week. I’m a college student, so I don’t want another deadline to worry about. Depending on the popularity/demand of the series, I might increase or decrease the rate of releases. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the story! P.S. This is my first fiction so make sure to point out mistakes wherever you see them. I’m doing this, partly, to increase my skill as a writer. However, be kind! I’m fragile, you know? Warning: ***This is far from your happy-go-lucky, feel-good adventure story. There will be content that some of you might not be comfortable with. And if you're already feeling skeptical reading this, click away and don't come back. If you're still here, what are you waiting for?***

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

Smoking Bandits
With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
