Noelle tried to wake me up because it was today’s day to grind and we really need the exp from the fight to level up.

“F-Five more minutes please.”

“No good, we need to leave now!”

Noelle successfully waked me up from my sleep. I got into my cloak and mask and brought Shubaru with us, same thing for Noelle and Draco they both got armored up and dressed.

“She’s been very excited to be going somewhere with you.”

The owner of the inn came into the stables unlocking the stable Shubaru was kept in.

“Ohhh, thank you for feeding and taking care of her.”

As always Shubaru pounced on Ender and licked him to her hearts content.

“Shubaru, calm down”

“We really thank you for taking care for her!”

“No problem, its simply part of the business.”

“Anyway, be safe on your trip!”

The owner left the stables and brought the carriage that will carry all of us. We put the carriage onto Shubaru and the three of us hopped into the carriage.

“Where are we going?”

“Uhm, I need to meet up with someone.”

“Ehhh!”

“H-How did you manage to meet someone!?”

“Ohh that.”

“I can’t tell her that we’ll die if I didn’t go to the secret meeting the last night.”

“I kinda forgot.”

We made our way to the sewers where Watson was waiting, we hope she’ll be there even though we’re late.

“Yes, I always admired my mother of her heroism and future for the village, unfortunately she died by a houndloom she didn’t see and got crushed by it.”

*sob* “Me and my father have to live strong and believe that mother is always here with me, but he also died recently by the hands of the kingdom that mother desperately tried to protect so much.”

The three of us projected our levels and stats to Watson and maybe she can help me with this mana problem of mine.

Ender realized it was the teleportation potions Rudolf promised to give to Ender, the small sack carried maybe 20 of those potions.

“Wow, these are plenty for us to use!”

“Yeah, he’ll be producing more from those mushrooms and giving them to the other kingdom heroes.”

“Wow! Rudolf is really is productive with these!”

“He said he wanted to help the other heroes on the tree of sin or something.”

“Really? Well that’s good to hear.”

“Anyway back on track, I got these private quests from the Guild.”

“I suggest you start from the silver ranked quest in order to level up Draco then move on to Gold ranked then move to platinum quests!”

“Whoa, how did you get platinum quest Watson?”

“Well about that.”

Watson showed us her rank, she was a titanium ranked adventurer who joins the engineer hero on her quests.

“You really are powerful!”

“Not quite, being a mage class is tiresome especially if you have to cast big spell in a hurry.”

“Now then, this is the silver ranked quest that shall level up Draco in a hurry!”

Watson handed me a quest poster of the silver ranked variety it read “destroy a goblin nest in town quartz.”

“Goblins huh, Noelle is scared by goblins since she was almost raped by them.”

“Really?”

“Do you have any other quest we can do?”

“No, these private quest are first come first serve, I can’t bargain another one.”

“I have to talk to Noelle first.”

“I hope Noelle can take this whole-heartedly.”

“I remembered so fluently that day when she almost died because of those goblins, I want to apologize for this quest.”

Ender kneeled his feet to the ground and apologized to Noelle about this quest.

“This quest revolves around slaying goblins, and I don’t want you to feel sadness because of this.”

“By the way, if you don’t concentrate on the place you remembered the potion will teleport the carriage anywhere.”

I gave Draco one of the teleportation potions, and he closed his eyes and tries to remember the Quartz town.

Draco poured the liquid potion on the ground and suddenly the carriage started glowing and everyone in it.

“A-Are we here?”

“Aha… Ender-Sama its town Quartz!”

At the distance we can see the town which our mission will be held.

“Amazing job Draco!”

“The name of the town comes from the town’s unique white houses and abundant caves that offer treasure and especially quartz, a fine material used in building houses and others, or so what they told me!”

“Incredible, this town has some culture to it.”

We arrived at the small wooden fence that goes around the town, we were greeted to the towns’ people and children of the town looking at Shubaru.

“Wow! A ground dragon!”

“Yeah, her name is Shubaru!”

“I’m guessing you’re the chief of this village?”

“You see, we we’re told that there are goblin nests near this town, we want to exterminate them!”

“Y-Yes! Unfortunately we encountered several interconnected goblin nest in the right part of this village.”

“Interconnected!?”

“That’s not anymore a nest!”

“Yes, it’s now a goblin unground village.”

“Village!?”

“Yes, a goblin village is a group of interconnected nest built together by other goblin rulers.”

“We’ve recently suffered a lost in population due to their frequent attacks.”

“I-I see.”

“This problem is bigger than we expected, a goblin village means there are about a hundred of them in one area.”

“Please eradicate them for us!”

“We’ll give a big reward if you manage to get out alive and beat it!”

Watson, Me, Noelle and Draco did a little discussion on the problem of the goblins.

“What shall we do?”

“I guess we have no choice.”

“Yeah.”

“They’ll give us a fine reward if we manage to be it too.”

“The reward is not what we’re after.”

“If we do it, we need a plan on how we’re going to beat it!”

We discussed on a plan we all agreed on and do it, we need to execute it perfectly to kill every goblin in there.

“You really think your plan could work?”

“We can only assume it will, or else we’d die right here right now!”

We went to the far side of the town in search for the interconnected cave the goblin are hiding.

“Is it this one?”

“Scratch marks and footprints, it is summoner hero!”

“Everyone, drink an exp. Potion!”

“We’re going in!”

We went inside the burrow and found remains of animal bones and feces of the goblins, we hoped for the best it wasn’t that dreadful.

“Be careful everyone, this burrow is narrow.”

“Careful everyone!”

“NOELLE!”

Noelle fall down the steep hole, luckily in the nick of time I managed to catch her and hold her hand.

“Huh?”

“You okay?”

*sob* “Y-Yeah.”

“Hah…that’s good!”

“Ender-Sama it’s raining!”

“What!?”

“The ground is all slippery!”

“Ahhhhh!”

“Watson!”

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah.”

“Hold on!”

“Draco help me out!”

“Okay!”

In that moment my hand slipped and we all fall down the hole, but surprisingly Draco managed to use his shield-like scales to poke the ground preventing us from falling.

“Grraaa…”

“Hold on Draco!”

“Yeah!”

“Summon Griffin!”

We used the griffin to carry Watson, Noelle and me including Draco and descended in the hole where some silhouettes of goblins can be seen guarding the hole from afar.

“I-I can’t see anything Ender-Sama, let’s the torch now.”

“No don’t do it, if the goblins can see light they rush to it at once and call for reinforcements, It’ll disrupt our plan.”

“Goblins in this realm is considered a second tier monster since they are plenty and act instantly when danger is near.”

“What should we do Ender?”

“We need a way to keep those guards silent so that we can proceed to the nest.”

“Watson.”

“Yes?”

“I have a plan, but I need your help and powers for this!”

“Okay!”

Watson and I planned to use sleep magic and her bigger magic later-on if anything goes bad with the plan.

“You’ll use sleep magic on those goblins and Draco should kill them so that he’ll receive the experience from it.”

“Understand Draco?”

“Yeah!”

“Hey Ender-Sama, why can’t you use sleep magic?”

“It’s because sleep magic’s mana usage is too high for me to use, and it’s kind of hard for me to use any summons, especially now since we’ve used 4 mana potions and have 3 left.”

“Ohhh…, but I’m still confused how low your mana is even though you’re a summoner.”

“I still don’t even know how I even became a hero despite being useless sometimes.”

“Ender-Sama we’ve defeated the goblins and what’s better Draco advanced 10 levels!”

“Wow, we’ll get into fighting the tree of sin in no time.”

We ventured deeper into the nest of the goblins until we came across the village, it is what I imagined it to be a giant cave system with large interconnected veins that connects the 4 nest together forming the village it was called.

“I-I wasn’t expecting it to be this large!”

“What should we do Ender?”

“….”

“Our original plan was use ice magic and freeze the whole village, but I did not expect something like this to be huge.”

“L-Let’s go with our original plan anyway, can you manage to use magic this large Watson?”

“Currently my mana can withstand that, but it will take time.”

“Master, goblins!”

“Damn it, hide in that corner everyone!”

“Okay!”

“Did you dispose the body Watson?”

“Ehhh…”

The floor started to shake because of hundreds of goblins rushing to the scene and it will be in no time when they die.

“Phew… What do we do now?”

I looked at everyone’s distressed face and found myself a plan B but I can’t act on it now.

“Everyone, I have a plan.”

“I’ll go calamity.”

“We stand no chance against them, I have to do it!”

Once I said that Noelle grabbed my left arm and began crying and holding my arm tighter.

*sob* “No, you promise me you won’t leave me!”

*sob* “Liar”

*sob* “Ender-Sama, you dirty liar!”

“Noelle, I never brake my promise to you.”

*sob* “but you just did.”

“I’ll come back, I promise.”

*sob* “you promise?”

“Yes, with my heart!”

“Watson!”

“Use ice magic on me, you know what to do next!”

“Wait, I don’t know what to do!”

Ender rushed outside the force field and started whipping the goblins.

“Damn these little assholes, I’ve never in my life wanted to destroy your entire race. But after what you did to Noelle that is simply not possible anymore.”

Ender got reminded of Noelle’s pain when they first met and suddenly his heart and mind were filled with darkness and sorrow, and that activated the calamity once again.

“Summon calamity rabbit!”

Ender together with the rabbits shredded the thousands of goblins he set mark on, Ender whipped everything that moved and the rabbits ate anything it sees.

“Elf nee-chan are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah.”

“I know how Noelle must have felt seeing her dear one leave her.”

“How nostalgic.”

“Watson-Chan, what do we do!?”

“When Ender kills everything I have to freeze him.”

“What?”

“N-No you can’t!”

“Noelle, if not we could become victims of Ender too!”

“We can find other ways to calm him!”

“You can do sleep spells, use that.”

“Noelle, status effects don’t work on Ender.”

“W-Why?”

“He’s mind is being used and so he’s not the Ender we know!”

“The only thing to stop him is to freeze his entire body in harsh cold!”

“But wouldn’t that kill him!?”

“What does that silence mean Watson-Chan?”

“I-It can’t be!”

“I don’t know if Ender can survive a large blast like that either.”

“He fought for this, I can’t just disobey him now!”

“Noelle, we can’t do anything now.”

“Draco, it’s all right your master will only be in a quick slumber.”

“Yeah, he must be done killing every goblin!”

“We need a way to hold him while I cast the spell.”

“Noelle, if we don’t help Ender his mind will cease to exist because of the darkness.”

The lifeless Ender body attacked Watson and Draco, but he is unable to see her since the darkness infested body was focused on Draco and Watson’s noise.

“It’s fine, do the spell now!”

“I can’t you’re in the way!”

“No you can’t!”

“Summon calamity wolves!”

“Guhh…”

The wolves bit Draco’s tail and legs causing severe damage and bleeding, even more damage can cause his early death.

“Draco, no!”

“Noelle!”

“I’m sorry Ender.”

“Zando heal!”

“I got Draco! Noelle do it now!”

“Yes!”

“O great cold, become a power to stop the calamity! Sheer cold!”

With that incantation suddenly the air around them was getting colder, Ender was frozen in place unable to escape this cold prison he is in.

“AAAAAA”

“I guess they did it, they were able to stabilize the calamity.”

“I’m proud of them!”

And with that Ender’s body was frozen solid and unable to wake up from this inevitable ice death Noelle cried witnessing his death.

*sob* “ENDER-SAMA!”

“He’s not dead yet!”

*sob* “What?”

Noelle pulled out her watch and began to touch the frozen body of Ender.

“Time dilation: Reverse time!”

Suddenly, the pale white body was turned back into his original skin pigment and surprisingly Ender’s heart began to beat again.

“Guhh…Glad I made it in time!”

“Watson!”

“I’m okay, I just ran out of mana I’m just tired.”

*sob* “Thank goodness.”

Noelle carried Ender, Watson and Draco’s body outside the cave and brought them to the town to aid them.
