《Tale of fire》Prologue

Within the small village of Shales great hall a large fire burned within the centre of the hall illuminating the stone floor benches adorned with bearskins that allowed for more comfy seating for the judges. Behind them stood a crowd of villages that were awaiting the verdict of a dark-haired blue-eyed man who had had his back turned to the hearth. Before him and the other judges stood a struggling silver-haired woman who was being held by two men.
“It has been a long and arduous process my friends but finally we have a verdict”. There was a pause then the man continued with a slight smile
“We find Xeranus, daughter of Molcoth, guilty of witchcraft and deviance from what is proper and natural ”.
There was an air of glee from the crowd as the preordained judgement had come now they were free of this thing. A sharp angry cry cut across the room from the condemned woman .
“How dare you, you pig lover, you murderer you whoreson? Do you think me having silver hair is enough? For being unwelcome in the village is enough for me being a witch not after what you did to farther You can’t do this to me Menlek, you’re not a lawgiver!” screamed a silver-haired young woman with an angry passion.
“Guards, silence her!” Barked Menlek.
There was a dull THUD as a farmhand, drafted in to act as a guard, whacked Xeranus over the head with a wooden club. Xeranus groaned as she slumped slowly to her knees. She was barely conscious as two men hoisted her upright and held her there between them by her arms.
“I have my hereditary right as a descendent of the village chiefs as you well know, and my place as head of the village council. Lord Wengen has also sent a representative and an escort, and I speak for everyone in this village! Menlek bristled indignantly. He leaned forward and, with a mean stare, continued. “What matters here is I have authority over you, witch!”

“The Chiefs are long gone, their laws are long gone. Times have changed Menlek, this isn’t lawful and i will make you pat!” The girl managed to slur.
Menlek snorted at the witches rambling
“You have been found guilty of witchcraft, and otherness you have been sentenced under the ancient law of Snowland. You are to be taken to the Cursed Range where, in accordance with tradition, you will be tied to a stake and left for the shrikes. You will be eaten alive so the world may be cleansed of your wicked tainted!”
‘I Curse you Menlek, for what you did to my father and…’ She slurred, still dazed.
She never got to finish her sentence as the guard on her right hit her over the head causing her to lose consciousness.
‘Muzzle her so she can’t spit her lies and her foul craft!’ ordered Menlek cold satisfaction emanating from him.
A guard went over to a table at the side of the Great Hall and picked up what appeared to be an iron mask that covered the lower half of the face. The guard walked over to Xeranus and with a little effort placed the mask on her.
‘Take her to the horses and escort her to her fate’. Ordered a smiling Menlek as she was dragged unconscious from the hall.

The Children of the Divine Limit
A realistic, psychological isekai: What pushes people to rejoice, to torture, to sacrifice, to kill? What gives some the will to survive and thrive in a new land and others the craving for dominance and exploitation? What would those who grew up without power all their lives do when given the approval and blessings of God Himself? How far will someone go to protect those close to them? How far will someone go to exact vengeance against an unjust world? How far can someone go before the abyss looks back at them? "Everything in the world is about sex — except sex. Sex is about power." - Oscar Wilde “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” - Abraham Lincoln Greed is the worst of all the deadly sins; all of human history lays out the evidence to support this thesis. Consider all of the above before reading this story: A 12th-grade high school class is sent to another world; a world of sword and magic called Omicron where other-worlders are revered as heroes given the divine blessing of the Lord God Sapiora, creator of Omicron's human race. It is currently a world at war. The humans of Omicron need these divine heroes as weapons against the Demon Emperor and the demihuman forces of the evil god Azazelin. However, two students within the class, Ajax Leonid and Shaula Seikennith, haven't been given the hero's blessing. They've been given something else, something more curious; the blood of a deity who noticed their specialness. As a result, after escaping the clutches of their summoners who tried to kill them for their lack of heroic potential, Ajax and Shaula enter the new world of Omicron with no one on their side except each other. While wading through rivers of blood, Ajax and Shaula seek a stable life, a life where they can salvage happiness. They have each other above all else. Perhaps the cost will be worth it. Perhaps not.

"I don't know who you think you are coming here, and acting like you don't care about anything. Now listen here Princess, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Here's a couple of rules that I'd like to enlighten upon you. Number one, you do not talk back to me. And two, you don't mess with me or the rules," his breath fans my face and I close my eyes. The proximity between us was terrifying. "I've dealt with many bitches like you, so I suggest that you follow those rules unless you want to end up like them," - he leans in. His mouth lingers near my ear, "used."... "... You might think that you run this place, but you do not run me. Understand? And the sooner you understand that, the better it'll be for the both of us," I warn staring right into his eyes before walking away. I was more than amused by his dumbfounded expression. I stop, and turn back around, facing him, "And one piece of advice, know what you're fishing for before you start fishing. What if you find a shark and it reels you in, instead?"⇒Highest rank: 1 in Chicklit on 01.08.16

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
