《Chrono Pact》Chapter 1: Frozen time

On that day…. I lost more than I could have ever gotten. Everyone I cared about…gone…
It was devastating, that night I cried, I cried like a toddler and I was letting it all out. I could have saved them but I was unable to! My teeth gritted together at the thought, creating clanking noises that only I can hear and feel. The guilt was there. It was so heavy, so damn heavy that it pushes me onto my knees. All I can do now is just to cry. Cry until all the guilt that is fused with the tears go all out. It was impossible. I muttered to myself:
???:“I could have saved them, all of them, the one that should have died was me…”
???:“if only I could turn back time….”-I whispered the heavy words out
I keep on repeating the phrase, over and over and over again and cried myself to sleep.
I got a lucid dream, I was stuck between the line of reality and dream. In that dream…no…more like a nightmare. the one thing I hoped to never revisit and think of appeared in front of me, more clear than it could have ever been, more real than it could have ever been…I killed myself in that nightmare so that it would stop tormenting me. Strangely when I woke up, my room was cold. If I'm not mistaken then my room was quite warm before I went to sleep. I suddenly noticed something. It's the 18th of June… how is it this cold? I was truly bamboozled, to be honest. I decided that maybe I am just feeling a bit chilly after all that trauma so I went to get myself a cup of water and an over midnight snack when suddenly I noticed that the digital clock at the front of my door stops? Is it glitched? is it out of battery? no way if it's out of battery it would have turned off the light but it is still on. That’s even stranger…

???:“what the…. ?” I said in confusion and chilliness
I continued to stare at it for a while. I was just…standing there half-naked staring at the damn frozen digital clock. Just to make sure I pulled out my iPhone 68 pro max ultimate and double-tapped the side for it to open up. It’s the same time as the clock, 12:01 am frozen in time. I thought of another idea, did I just woke up from a lucid dream in another freaking lucid dream? (---------) he chuckled at the idea…how funny, he thought of the word DreamCeption. Even though the word doesn’t exist it definitely made sense to him. The little nice moment didn’t last long though as he got sad due to him remembering his friends who would always joke around and have fun with each other whenever they have the chance to do so.
“beep beep beep beep beep beep”-the clock ringed
???:"what is up with you now !?”-he said in a frustrated tone
???:“I didn’t set you to ring at this time did I ?”-he shifted from a frustrated tone to a confused tone now
“BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP”-the second clock ringed
-“WHAT !?”-now he’s scared
???:“SINCE WHEN IS THAT CLOCK PROGRAMMABLE !?”-he said completely lost
He managed to stop the first clock quite easily as it was designed to be turned off by lazy people but the second clock…he decided to just straight up bashed it with his chopping board. He dug out the clocks part and to his surprise, there was no speaker inside. Him being so confused, so traumatized and so tired, just rubbed his messy red hair and went to his room.
