Part 1

“Aaaah!” x4

We were falling all the way down to the very bottom of the mines onto a bunch of magic crystals.

Oh no I can see a blue light radiating from the crystals below.

Here it comes.

Dear goddess, I know I ran away but please be merciful to me in the after life.

I braced for impact.

There was a huge crashing sound.

Heroine-chan and I bounced off of a mysterious blue bouncy cushion and landed mostly safe on the ground.

“Oof!”

I landed right on top of Heroine-chan.

What a cliche position we have fallen into.

I picked my head up and was looking at a blushing Heroine-chan.

“Woah! Sorry! I didn't mean to do that.”

“That’s fine. Just get off of me!”

“Right! Of course! My bad! - OOF!”

Adventurer-chan bounced of the same cushion that we did and landed right on top of us.

Now my face is in another cliche position.

Adventurer-chan started cheering while sitting on top of Heroine-chan and me.

“Oh my god we’re alive. Yes! We’re alive! Huh? What are you two doing down there? Pfft. Heroine-chan, don’t tell me while I was falling to my death, you were actually falling for this weakling of an adventurer. And I see you two have no shame about doing such acts in public. How bold. Hahaha!”

“Get off of me you idiot!” x2

God that girl causes me so much trouble.

At least the three of us have survived but I remember there being four of us who fell.

Where did that demon go?

I looked around the room.

It was huge.

Shiny blue rocks covered the walls and the floor.

Hm… these must be the magic crystals.

I picked up a few of the crystals.

I felt stronger just by holding them.

I put them in my pocket.

They could come in handy later.

Adventurer-chan called out to us.

“Hey check it out you guys.”

Heroine-chan and I ran back gathered together with Adventurer-chan.

When I got there, I was looking straight at the demon.

“That is unfortunate. Oh well.”

She was buried head first in the ground.

Seems like she was the only one of us to not land safely on the big bouncy cushion that was left here.

Adventurer-chan started laughing while Heroine-chan inches closer to the demon.

“Pfft. Look how she landed. How uncool of her. Hahaha!”

“Is… is she dead?”

“Who cares! I’m sick of this quest. Look there’s a path over here. It should lead to an exit. Let’s just get out of here already.”

We started walking on a path looking for the exit.

While we were on the move, Adventurer-chan brought up a pretty good point.

“Well now that the demon is defeated, who won the bet?”

“Me of course!” x2

What?

Did this girl really just say she won?

“Are you crazy? What the hell do you mean you won! You were asleep the whole time and then almost got us killed! I was the one that had to fight her!”

“That was only because you knocked me unconscious! You probably didn’t even do any damage to her at level 2. My magic surely dealt massive damage to her! I defeated her, so I won the bet!”

“Of course you didn’t. Magic didn’t even affect her in that form! If I wasn’t there, the demon would have kicked your ass! No way did you defeat her!”

We heard a familiar voice coming from behind.

“Please tell me who is defeated!”

“Huh?” x3

We turned around and saw the demon.

Even after that fall, she’s still alive?

This isn’t good!

Why do these villains have to be so strong!

The demon pointed straight at me.

“I must say, I underestimated you, you fool! You were able to figure out my resistances and even tricked me into breaking floor. A good strategy but this fall damage isn’t enough to keep me down. Now prepare yourself for round two mr. adventurer! ”

“Hah! Even the demon thinks I was her opponent! You didn’t do shit! I win!”

The demon looked at all of us confused while Heroine-chan started arguing with me.

“That’s not fair! Demon tell this idiot that I was the one who did more damage to you. Therefore the win is mine!”

“Hey you can’t ask her to change her mind after the fact! She already said I defeated her!”

“I’m haven’t been defeated yet, you idiots! EARTH!”

“Aaaah!” x3

Crap this demon still has some fight left in her.

Her attacks are much weaker than before though.

I can dodge them without a buff now.

She acted tough but that fall damage must have had a big effect on her.

She isn’t even in her monster form anymore.

We might be able to survive this.

Just then, the ground started rumbling.

We all looked at each other.

“Hero-kun, what’s going on?”

“How am I supposed to know?”

“HOLY CRAP! What the hell is that!”

A Giant Slime emerged from the ground behind the demon!

This isn’t good.

We can’t take on this and the demon.

“What the hell is this slime doing here? There’s no slimes in the mines!”

“It’s even bigger than the one that that was chased you here.”

“Look up there you two!”

Heroine-chan pointed to the ceiling.

There was another hole apart from the one we fell through.

The slime must have fell from there.

It has to be the one that Heroine-chan sent flying earlier.

It must have crash landed above the mines and fell all the way down here.

Still, that doesn’t explain why it’s so big.

The demon started laughing.

“Hahaha. This will be easier than I thought. Giant slime, I command you to squash these 3 fools.”

…

“Hey you slime! Listen to me! I command you to fight!”

…

“Pfft.” x2

“Don’t laugh you idiots! Damn you for embarrassing me you stupid slime. I will force you to obey! Take this! EARTH!”

A huge blast of rock flew straight towards the slime.

It bounced right off doing minimal damage.

Gloop! Gloop! Gloop!

Uh-oh

“Aaaah!” X4

Part 2

Running away from a giant slime.

Why does this keep happening to me!

“Hey you stupid demon! Get away from us. I don’t want anything to do with you”

“No way! I’m not leaving until i defeat you. Having loss to a weakling like you is humiliating. I have to fix it!”

“Don’t call me weak! You just said I beat you! And stop following us. The slime is mad at you! You’re just being a sore loser! ”

“Hey! We still haven’t decided who really won!”

“We can argue about that later. And you, we can kill each other later. For now do something about your slime!”

“I can’t! Nothing’s working! The slime must have absorbed all of the magic crystals. It’s too strong to be under my control right now!”

Crap!

This is not good.

Adventurer-chan, who was running on the other side of me started screaming!

“Ah! Hero-kun what are we gonna do! Hurry up and think of a plan!”

“I already got one! Just focus on running!”

I looked at the demon and Heroine-chan.

“You two! Cast your strongest magic on the slime!”

“I can’t.” x2

“What?”

“I’m out of mana.” x2

“WHY!”

“My transformation in our last battle take up a lot of mana!”

“... What’s your excuse!”

”My last spell was meant to be the finishing blow!”

“She was resistant to magic!”

“I didn’t know!”

“What the hell! Your supposed to be the reliable one in the group!”

“Hey don’t get mad at me! You didn’t even do anything in the mines!”

“I’m only level 2! Ah forget it. Just keep running!”

“Guys, look up ahead! The exit is blocked! It’s a dead end!”

Crap.

We’re stuck between a wall and the greatest evil known to man!

Come one Hero-kun think!

...

I have another idea.

God I hope it works.

I turned to Adventurer-chan.

“Adventure-chan cast a strength buff on me!”

“What?”

“Put all of your mana into it. I need as much strength as you can give me!”

“Weren’t you just complaining about using up all of your mana?”

“Just do it you idiot!”

“Fine. STRENGTH!”

Heroine-chan was confused.

“Now what Hero-kun? You’re only level 2. Even with all that buff, you won’t be able to break through!”

“I’m not the one breaking through the wall!”

I turned and looked at the demon with an evil smirk.

“Huh? What that look for?”

“Take this!”

“Aaaaah!”

I threw her with all of my might straight into the landslide that blocked our way out.

“Hurry you two grab on!”

“Ok!” x2

We jumped out of the way of the slime.

“Ouch! What the hell do you think you’re doing you stupid adventur- Uh-oh!”

The giant slime rammed straight into the wall.

“Aaaaah!”

It took out the blockage and the demon.

The rubble cleared and the three of us got up.

Adventurer-chan started cheering again.

“We did it Hero-kun. We’re alive! We alive!”

Gloop! Gloop! Gloop!

The giant slime emerged from the rubble

”Ah. We’re dead Hero-kun. We’re dead! Waah!”

Adventurer-chan’s right.

The girls are out of mana and I’m out of ideas.

It’s the end of the line.

The slime moved slowly towards me.

Huh?

It was sniffing me like a dog.

“What’s going on?”

He seemed to want something from me.

“Oh are you looking for this?”

I pulled out one of the magic crystals that I picked up earlier.

The slime looked excited.

I held the crystal out in front and the slime sucked happily sucked it up.

He glowed and grew a bit bigger.

Hm… when slimes aren’t trying to kill me, they are actually kinda cute.

After getting one crystal, he continued to want more.

I pulled out another and waved it in the air.

“You want it? Go fetch!”

I tossed the crystal as hard as I could across the room.

The slime chased after it.

“Wow Hero-kun, your like a slime whisperer.”

”Yeah the most useful of skills. Let’s just get out of here already!”

“HEY!”

Something started coming out of the rubble.

AGAIN!

You cannot be serious.

I hate demons!

“Hey… Hey… Not so… Not so fast you… you… weaklings!”

“Eh?” x3

The demon could barely even stand.

We just casually started walking towards her.

“You fools think… a little slime can best me? Haha…. your even stupider… than I-“

“Give it a rest already!”

BONK!

I smacked the demon in the back of her head.

She fell to the ground and then exploded into a burst of smoke and light.

Adventurer-chan cheered.

“You did it Hero-kun. You actually did it!”

HERO-KUN LEVEL UP

Looks like it actually is over.

Thank god.

I never want to see a demon again!
