《The Roamer》My mistake

Before you continue, just know that this is a bit of a rant relating to my history and dedication, so if you want to just get to the important stuff, skip all the way to the bottom.
When it comes to books, I love to read. If you’d look at my room, I have two book shelves stocked to the limit when it comes to books, and I’ve either read all those books or am in the middle of reading them.
Then, around fifth grade, I stumbled upon a sanctuary called anime. I thought it was just Japanese cartoons, but boy was I wrong. I started with Naruto and fell in love, and ever since that point, I’ve set out on what, I guess you can call, a crusade to watch basically everything.
Halfway through sixth grade, I realized that I was running out of anime to watch. I had already watched all the big dogs, and a bunch of small dogs were also complete as well. Then I stumbled upon the level that came next, manga.
It started with me reading a manga called ‘tower of god’ (Go check it out, it’s pretty amazing). Then, I started reading all the manga, and conquered that section as well. I was running out of things to do, but then I hit a level that I didn’t even know existed, which was novels.
As a kid, I grew up reading Harry Potter, the magisterium series, and so, so much more. So when I figured out something as amazing as anime and manga was born from novels, I jumped in, balls deep into this universe.
At that point, I realized something. I was so focused on the world of the Japanese, so collected within it, that I was starting to wish I didn’t exist, but was instead inside of the world of those characters. At that point, I realized that I had gone too far, and had to back up to a certain extent.

Then I realized another thing. If I feel this good because so many people have given their time and patience into making amazingly well stories, why can’t I climb up from my little hole and make some too?
It started with the Roamer, and I was pretty content. But after a certain point, I started reading it back, and not focusing on it as an author, but as a reader. Let me tell you something, it was terrible. The plot was convoluted and horrendous, pacing was all over the place when it came to time skips, and the main character wasn’t that easy to follow and understand.
Among that, I also had many grammatical errors, which probably made many readers understand some parts of the story differently than you were supposed to.
After all of that, I realized I was bad at this, and I simply gave up. However, recently I came back, and I realized that I hadn’t taken down the novels. I was about to take them down, but I saw the views. They were still being read, viewed, and dreamed about by people.
I began to understand that even if I regretted how bad it was, how terrible the story was, there would always be some people who were dedicated, who actually enjoyed it. When I understood that, I felt terrible, terrible beyond words.
That was because I’ve had it happen to me, loving a story and then it being cut off. I’ve felt that feeling before, and when I realized there were people out there who actually enjoyed my story, and I did the thing that I hated people doing to me, I realized my mistake.
No matter how much I regret my story, no matter how much I wanted to just move on, I left people behind who were still waiting. People who were still waiting for the continuation, people who actually enjoyed my terrible story. That made me feel special, in a way, because I had actually created a story that people enjoyed (Or at least some people did).

So essentially, thank you so much, everyone who has ever even heard of my story or made contact with it. Thank you so much for sticking with it even though it had ended so abruptly; when it reality, it hadn’t even ended at all. Even the people who gave up after a chapter or two because they realized it was terrible, just the fact that you thought clicking/tapping on my story was worth your time is amazing to me.
Right now, after I understood all of this, I’m currently developing a new story, about a completely different topic. Concerning the Roamer, I want to finish my new story first, and then go back to it. Except, I won’t just pick up from where I left off, I’ll completely reboot it.
I’ll go all the way back to the beginning, and make it better than it ever was.
I’ll show you all the experience I’ve gained during this huge hiatus from reading other novels, watching more anime, and seeing more Manga.
Beginning (hopefully) by the end of August or beginning of september, the new book I’ve been working on will begin its daily upload, and thank you once again. My mistake.
