Adala ran her hand through Burai’s soft hair and ruffled it. Suddenly, a Super TrooperTM rushed into the training room. He saluted them.

“My lord, Darth Vaita is….gone….” he said, exasperated from sprinting all the way up the stairs. Darth Burai stood up.

“What do you mean, gone?” he said angrily.

“Well, sir, she’s ceased to exist. In this state, at least,” said the Super TrooperTM, sketchily taking a jar from behind his back. “We collected this from her spontaneous combustion site.” Adala felt a sudden emptiness inside her. All her training with Burai up to this point had been to condition her to kill Darth Vaita. The whole reason she turned was to kill Vaita.

“Burai….I’ve been thinking. Now that Vaita’s gone, there’s not really a reason for me to continue my training,” she said. Darth Burai had a hurt look on his face.

“I thought spending time with me was better than killing Darth Vaita,” said Darth Burai, sadly.

Adala froze. At the end of the day, her reasons for training actually had very little to do with Darth Vaita, and everything to do with Darth Burai. “Did I say it wasn’t?” she asked playfully, pushing his arm.

He smiled. “So shall we continue to train together?”

“Only if you think I’m good enough to join you in galactic conquest,” Adala joked.

“Hey, I can’t conquer the galaxy without support from you,” he smiled. Adala smirked.

“Together, we shall rule the galaxy!”
