《I'll become your Knight》Chapter 22

“Is he really a divine class armour, he doesn’t even have magic control…”, voices of doubters began flooding the area around me.
How did it turn into this situation, I was supposed to just be taking it easy and now I have to show off some skill I don’t even have?
“You just aren’t focused enough you idiot.”, Kazemi said in a upset manner.
She held her arms on her hips as to suggest she was irritated with me, only displaying how short tempered she has become.
“What do you mean not concentrating, I’m thinking harder than I ever have?!”
“I knew you weren’t concentrating but can’t you see by now you not supposed to be thinking, for anyone else that would lead to no results but since you aren’t a thinker to begin with you'll only hurt yourself.”
“Hurt myself…? When did you become such a brat?!”,
I asked in an upset tone.
Not only was I originally flustered from being put on the spot by Miss Hayashis demonstration but now I was also being mocked by one of my friends.
How could my high school years become so low?
“He’s not over thinking anything, the problem is that he is thinking of the wrong thing.”,
Sora commented.
He held his arm up as he continued to explain but his coy smile had already been enlarged to its maximum.
“You’re thinking about what the final product of this move will be rather than the process of replicating it!”
He felt extremely superior to all his classmates around him as he had already gained the skill to use mana body. Although his magical handling had increased it was nothing compared to his growing ego.
His mannerisms throughout his explanation reminded me of how Chizu had originally held herself when she behaved arrogantly.
“It’s a good thing you two found each other when you did seeing as you’re both idiots.”, Kazemi said silently.
A vain on Soras forehead twitched at the moment he heard her comment and responded with an enraged expression.
“Who are you calling idiot, do you even know who I am?!”
Now he’s even acting as if his name is superior as well, I think Sora is a sore loser and a worse winner.

“Why are you acting all high and mighty, aren’t you the guy who lost to the ice princess and got saved by idiot number one over there?”, Kazemi asked.
As she continued to question Sora she looked more disappointed and somehow ended up riling herself up leading to an heated expression on her face.
“Defeat in battle is the method of learning.”, Sora stated with an embarrassed look on his face.
His cheeks were turning red and he could not look straight at her, he started averting his gaze to the ground before him.
“Where did you hear that junk, sounds like some old proverb from a retired general?”, she asked.
“I don’t know why you’re being so confident seeing as I’m the one who can use mana body and you can’t.”, Sora exclaimed.
“I can…use it.”, She let out to herself in an uncertain manner.
Sora and Kazemi both grew angry by each other’s words and seemed to be ready to jump at each other’s throats delivering more comments with no rest.
“There’s nyo reason to be all feisty about this.”,
Miss Hayashi said as she attempted to calm them down.
“Although Koboyashi maybe nyou should take both of their advice since they are right.”
Without a second later both Sora and Kazemi turned to Miss Hayashi with sincerely confused expressions,
“He is?”
“She is?”
“How can both of them be right if they were disagreeing with each other, do I do both at the same time or something?”, I asked.
“Nyou’re asking the wrong questions, they were both right but also wrong. As Onishi mentioned nyou nyeed to focus more by only concentrating on limiting the flow of magic when it’s been released, until that time nyou should be relaxed and let your magic pour out.”, Miss Hayashi said eagerly.
From time to time she actually sounds like a reliable person; she herself even got excited talking about this stuff.
What does she mean by relax my body if I am in a dire situation like a fight then how am I just supposed to relax?
“Nishimura stated that nyou should focus on the process rather than the end product which isn’t false at all because the process to magic control is working one step at a time.

So in this case nyou should work on relaxing nyour body and then closing off supply when nyou have achieved mana body.”, Miss Hayashi said calmly.
“…”
“…”
“Nya?” She let out in an unaware fashion.
Miss Hayashi wore a dull and confused face as she looked around the peering eyes that focused on her.
Confused faces all fixated on Miss Hayashi with dropped jaws and not a single person could ask the question we all thought.
“Miss Hayashi…”, I muttered.
“Nyes?”, she replied in a cautious tone.
“Are you secretly not an air head?!”, I asked.
Miss Hayashi took a large jump back and revealed a terrified look on her face as her body followed suit.
“Is that how people see me? Sniff~”, She wailed.
“I think we should get back to the lesson, I’m ready to try it…”
Relax...I don’t know what that even means but-
I’m thinking too much.
I took a long deep breath in and out, only relaxing my body and cleared my thoughts entirely and…I still felt nothing.
Is this hopeless; why can’t my abilities ever get anything right?! The only thing I have summoned until this point is my small amount of armour and then that time against Chizu when my armour took over my legs.
Wait that’s essentially magic control, why don’t I just replicate that? When I summon my armour I always just think back to the feeling of it encompassing my hand and I can just bring it out like a sixth sense.
I’ve never used just magic before so I have no reference though…
The limit break!
The memory of my limit break on the first day played through my mind like a vivid picture I could take out at any time.
I remembered how my body began to pain from that resonating black and white lightening and the intense feeling of something I had never experienced before building up inside me.
“I remember the feeling of magic though, it was in between all of that pain and power.”,
As I let out those words the mana flowing throughout my body began seeping out of me.
An intense golden glow filled the space around my body could not be described in any other words than ‘Divine’.
It resembled the royal glow that only the purest of silver armour could produce when in the presence of a holy light.
My hands were the first to be completely covered which then gradually spread throughout my body and reached the center of my face.
My body was brimming with the golden aura that took attention to all those around me, not for the reason of accomplishing this new ability but rather because of the color of magic.
Gold was not related to any of the elements of magic which was studied in class text books.
This sight cleared all doubts to the possibility of me not being a Divine series.
“This feels incredible I feel so strong…I did i-”
“Don’t forget to restrict the supply nyaa.”, Miss Hayashi commented suddenly.
Her comment totally overshadowed my good moment but I guess I should do that before I run out of mana.
…
“…Koboyashi?”, Miss Hayashi
I tried keeping a poker face when turning to Miss Hayashis direction but all that was visible was a look of sudden helplessness.
“I don’t know how…”, I mentioned casually.
““What?!””,
All my classmates who had moments ago been completely amazed by the sight of the divine series magical aura were now stunned at my incompetence.
“I’ve never done this before so I have no idea how to work this thing!”, I yelled.
“Just turn it off, you’re going to hurt yourself.”, Kazemi said in a stern tone.
“Hey Haruto maybe pump the breaks, just stop it all together.”, Sora commented in a concerned voice.
When he and most of the other students took steps back it made it clear that the concern was more for their own safety than mine.
