《I'll become your Knight》Chapter 25

“What is sword and shield, sounds like a video game?”, Sora asked with a puzzled expression.
“Sword and shield is a training routine used to put mana body into a perfect simulation of real battle scenarios nyaa!”,Miss Hayashi added.
“We all have to do it, in real battle situations…?”, Kazemi muttered to herself.
Kazemi wore an extremely depressed face, to the point where her mouth hung open and her eyes cringed.
She was worried on her abilities to use mana body effectively because her magic levels were not only abnormally low but she also fails when it comes to proper magic control.
During her entrance exam she had almost failed due to low reading of mana capabilities, but ultimately saved her scores in her knowledge and athletic abilities.
“Nyow then everyone should choose a partner in which they will both attack and receive attacks from in their mana body form. Does everyone have a partner?”
Everyone began running towards each other and moving around, from above it would have resembled a miniature ant colony.
“So who wants to be my partner?”, I asked casually.
Everyone near me looked away and avoided eye contact, including Sora who had been asking me to train with him many times prior to this.
It seemed that after seeing the extent my divine magic contained it scared away any possibility for a normal high school image. In their eyes I was only an extremely powerful bomb.
“No one, come on not you too Ayako…”, I asked desperately.
Ayako made a small amount of eye contact from the result of me calling her name but then quickly turned to Sora,
“Oh well I already told Sora I would be his partner seeing as he has this stuff down and will teach me hahaha~”, she said as she and Sora ran away.

“Master Haruto I of course would be honored to be your partner.”, Shiho said.
She was blushing slightly and had a large glimmer in her eyes when looking at me.
Shiho…She is such an angel! She really always comes through in my time of need; maybe having a follower isn’t so bad.
She looks very excited though; could it be that no one wanted to be her partner either?
Shiho was looking at me with a strong feeling of pride and affection; she was overcome when she saw my display of magical energy earlier.
As an Uchida clan member she is tasked with serving the divine series users which puts her in a position to be beside a powerful master however more than that she is strangely drawn to it.
Shihos chest became tight and her heart was beating fast, she was turned on by my earlier display and skill in controlling it so quickly.
“That’s great, thanks Shiho.”, I said happily.
“Oh nyou should find another partner Uchida, Koboyashi does have the mana body skill under control nyow but his ability to negate others magic makes him a dangerous partner.” , Miss Hayashi commented.
“I’m…a.”, I muttered.
“Danger?!”, Shiho queried.
“I am perfectly capable of handling myself around the master that I serve or have you forgotten the role that I play as a member of the-”
“Koboyashi nyou’re with me nya.”, she said cheerfully.
Miss Hayashi wasn’t even paying attention to Shihos words as she had already taken my hand and walked away from the conversation.
“…
…no.” ,Shiho whined softly.
“Nyow then everyone pay attention to the instructions, each turn there will be a sword and a shield.
The sword is the attacker and the one that defends is the shield. This is only training exercise so don’t go all out. The sword will use mana body and attack when ready and the shield will block using theirs.”

Shiho and Kazemi stood across from each other with annoyed expressions; although not long after explaining the rules they both had the same idea.
That was a perfect opportunity for them both to let out there anger without being stopped, in fact it’s encouraged as a ‘training exercise’.
Shiho stretched her arm to the side and began warming up her muscles,
“Should we say that first one to manage a mana body successfully gets the first strike?”
“Fine by me, just get ready to block!” ,Kazemi shouted angrily.
Shiho closed her eyes and stood patiently focusing on the steps to achieving mana body.
Shiho was already quite skilled in physical abilities as she was able to summon her weapon already and even an assortment of martial arts; however when it came to magic control she was just average in skill.
Kazemi was far worse off though as she had very little magic to begin with so a task like this was a tall order for her.
Shiho grew angry thinking about how she was unable to get it immediately but after looking towards my backside she was overcome with an urge.
“I won’t be weak…” ,She muttered to herself.
A dark mist of black smog fell from Shihos palms and eventually transpired into it coming out of her other limbs. The smog glowed into an aura which encompassed her whole body in quite a large amount.
“Tsk! Still way too large for me to be contempt with; I will need to drastically improve in order to catch up to master Haruto.”, Kazemi said to herself.
“Although…”, she muttered.
Shihos gaze focused on Kazemi who stood across from her in the power-up pose and her head lowered.
She was struggling to get any form of magic to manifest and was determined to continue until she could; even though she didn’t notice Shiho in front of her who already reached such a feat.
“I guess I’ll be going first so make sure to block ok, if you can!” ,Shiho yelled.
Shiho burst forward in an aggressive manner and was moving faster than she normally would; she had received the benefits of the mana bodies’ skill and gained the heightened physical abilities.
Kazemi felt the immense pressure of magic flying towards her and looked up; by the time she had lifted her head Shiho had already entered her striking zone.
A fist flew directly in path towards Kazemis face at a speed that seemed inhuman to her, her eyes weren’t trained to keep up with fights at such a high speed.
By the time she got her guard up she was way too late but the fist never made impact with her face. Shihos hand was placed on the top of Kazemis head; she then pressed down on her and sent her face crashing into the ground below.
Dust clouds dispersed due to the large impact which ruptured the dirt beneath their feet.
No severe damage remained on the ground because of how much Shiho limited the impact in the last second of the attack but it was enough to completely overwhelm Kazemi before she had a chance to react.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Cowboys and Wizards
Currently in queue: Episode 12 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Wednesday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. Cowboys and Wizards is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his crappy smartphone, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.
