So Andrew 'accidently' kissed Prim in training. Leading to a lot of blushing then confessing.
Leo kept flirting with Alina. When that didn't work, he convinced her that he wasn't a cheating jerk. They starting dating after their movie date.
Theadore worked up the courage to ask Virginia out to dinner. She accepted. He brought her out to a fancy restaurant and she felt out of place 'cause she dressed casual. Everyone was fine with it though.
Christopher and Gem were put in a project concerning their grades and technology. They went well right to the end where they had a big dissagreement and resulting Gem kissing her crush out of fruastration.
*Cue the blushing*
*Cue the confessing*
*Cue the second kiss*
Shad confessed to Candace and kissed her right then and there on the roof of the school building. He was planning to jump if she didn't return his feelings but turns out he didn't need to. (If you get what I mean.)
Sherlock suprised Gemma with two tickets to the biggest fun fair in the area. They had a nice date. Shared cotten candy and rode on a lot of rides. Shared a kiss or two. Gem is proud.
Lauraine caught Ophelia crying in the chamber one night. Ophelia said there was dust but it was basically a classic excuse for crying. Lauraine calmed her down and her feelings slipped from her mouth.
Shit Godammit. Why must I always be so bad at keeping secrets. Why?!
"It's okay, Lauraine. I like you too."
The two shared a tender kiss and left the chamber holding hands.
It was a normal day at school for the 14 children. But the sky darkened at 12. All the kids rushed to the windows. The 14 were at PE at the field and chose to look up. Their eyes met a BIG ASS mothership. So the aliens FREAKING TELEPORTED out of the ship and started shooting at the students with Valerian-style goo-guns.

The kids barely had time to pull out their weapons before they were thrown into battle. But it seemed hopeless. The aliens kept coming and the children only had 4 months of training. But apparently their parents had trained their whole lives for this.
They watched in awe as Andrew's dad fired bullets at rapid speed at the aliens, being a policeman. His mom, having being a champion of last year's fencing competition, was a natural at swords.
Theadore's mother looked thin and frail but she was saving students trapped in the goo with her kitchen knife just fine. Theadore's younger sister was always good at aiming and archery so she held her own with her makeshift bow and arrows.
Gem and Gemma's father was a lumberjack so he fought with a chainsaw well.
Candace's mother was good at daggers, for some reason. And she didn't mind dying or getting alien blood on her so she fought recklessly.
Leo's father was good at ropes since he was a mountain climber. Leo's twin sisters, Liana and Lianne, were little troublemakers. Together, they were wreaking havoc on the aliens and their weapons.
Virginia's little sister was helping the injured since she studied medical stuff.
Lauraine's father was good at guns. Her mother was good at staffs. Her brother was good at making explosives out of random chemicals which he got from the science lab.
Shad's mother and older sister were both secret agents. (Which he just found out about.) They took evrything as a weapon and seized every opportunity to get the upper hand and still had time to watch out for Shad. Great family he had.
Sherlock's father was good at swords and was successfully killing many aliens at the outskirts of the attack.
Christopher's mother and younger brother were helping Lauraine's younger brother to throw explosives out the science lab's window, taking out many aliens.
Alina's mom herself was shooting the aliens from afar with a shotgun.
Primrose's mother was shooting the aliens with her handgun. Her younger brother was chucking her father's old greenades at the aliens. Her younger sister was helping too. Even Pheobe, Primrose's great aunt and the principal, was shooting with a light machine gun.

After a few minutes of pushing through, the 14 managed to get to the front of the ship. Christopher might have pushed a button accidently but the door opened and no one really cared at this point.
They got to the throne room and saw a FREAKING SICKENING sight of something that looked like GIGANTIC AS EFF frog eggs.
Those were the aliens' eggs. Even worse, there was the queen, hanging at the centre of the room.
The group slowly and caustiously made their way across the eggs. But Leo tripped on the slime on the floor and knocked into two eggs.
Keep in mind that BIG ASS frog eggs were extremely fragile. The eggs broke into two, showering Leo in slime and two half formed aliens piled out.
The queen wasn't happy, the other 13 weren't happy and Leo felt like puking.
Those who had long ranged weapons fired at the queen. Suprisingly, she didn't dogde. The 14 soon noticed that she was protecting the eggs and took that to their advantage.
One by one, they smashed the eggs around them. The queen wailed in outrage and lounged for them. They dodged and started to attack the queen.
After a few minutes of hard work, the queen finally died. But then a siren started to ring. The 14 took that as a signal as the ship was under attack and aliens were headed for the room they were in. They got out of there immedietly.
After running through countless hallways and rooms, the 14 finally reached the control room.
"Alright guys, we're all gonna die like right after a few minutes so I suggest you do whatever you wanna do right now." Leo said and immedietly pulled Alina into a kiss.
"But what about our famillies?" Candace asked with tears forming in her eyes.
"Candace, you knew right form the moment you signed up for this you were going to die. We talked about this." Shad said to her with a worried expression.
"Yeah, but -"
"Candace." Primrose interupted. "I told our parents a long time ago we might die now. It's okay."
The trio then shared a group hug. A few kisses were shared.
"Hey guys, I think we found the self destructive button." Christopher and Gem called from the control panel.
"How do you know that?"
"We recognize that symbol from our project. And I think we have about 2 minutes before the ship blows."
They pressed the button.
"What the hell!? We weren't ready!"
"There's no time. Come on!"
They took off running along many hallways.
"We're not gonna make it!" Chris exclaimed, looking at his watch.
"Don't say that!" Alina shouted.
"We only have 10 seconds left!"
"I see the door!"
"But it's so far away!"
"Don't say that!"
5........
20 feet. We can make it!
4.........
15 feet. Just a little more.
3.......
10 feet. I don't think we're gonna make it.
2........
We're not gonna make it.
1........
"It's been nice knowing you guys." - Shad
The next day.....
Yesterday, the Private School for Gifted Youngsters was under attack by said aliens. The school is in ruins and many were injured during the attack. Luckily, no one was dead during the suprise encounter.
Only 14 students, whom were last seen running into the mothership, died during the explosion of the ship itself. Everyone that was a witness to the encounter was sure they sacrifced themselves to destroy the ship.
Whoever it was, we are forever grateful to whom it was that saved all of Manhatten and possibly, the entire world.

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

Sanguis
In a world inhabited by vampires, various factions are vying for dominance, whether through wars or grueling tournaments. In the midst of the conflict, two unsuspecting humans become caught in the battle. Note: My first story on here, I wanted to try writing a story with battles and leveling up, the kind of story where a character starts at the bottom and world their way up. I hope this story is a good chance to see what works and try out a few different ideas I’ve had.

The End
There are five days left. The End is a miracle 10,000 years in the making that will free all from the confines of the world. The gods will soon be born. There is nothing that can be done about this. Not a webnovel, but a screenplay, submitted as my dissertation for my screenwriting degree. Sort of experimental. I have learned that I dislike writing screenplays, but all the same, I thought I'd post it anyway so it's at least worth something that way.
