《Hunters Royale》I'm Level What?

Jin's vision escalated as it shifted... It shifted from Toby's appalled face, met the LED tube lights on the ceiling, and ultimately rolled back into darkness as a huge spurt of pain burst behind his head.
.....
"Nooooooo!!!!!!"
Jonathan was yelling beside him when Jin's eyes fluttered open. His vision was still in its listless advance as he only saw a blur of a figure beside him.
"Jonathan... I am okay"
Jin uttered, he did not prefer to be the spur of concern for his pals.
"SHUT UP!! FUCKER!!"
"Eh"
"YOU FRIGGIN BROKE THE URINAL... HOW ARE WE GONNA PAY FOR THIS?"
"EH!!??"
Jin's face contorted as his eyes came upon the shattered piece of the urinal that Jonathan pointed towards.
"Was I the only one who got stunned by his cry??. Like what the fuck?. My head here almost broke open and he's sobbing for the motherfucking urinal??..."
Jin bellowed at Toby who was beside him, leaning on his knees and gawking at him in shock.
"Bruh seriously??. For the friggin urinal??"
Jin ignored Toby's stupid gawk and swerved towards his stupid friend Jonathan.
"Hm??"
Jonathan whirled scantily to his left towards Jin, barely making any effort to look at his fallen friend.
"Don't Hmm me Jackass, I'll slam Toby on you"
Jin roared with his fingers crossed and edged towards Toby.
"Wait what did I do??"
Toby sprang back, his voice faltering with alarm.
"Shut up!!"
Jin retorted.
"Okay... whatever..."
said Toby with his shoulders shrugging in approval.
"It isn't like Level 10 here could do anything better"
The toilet fell pin drop silent for a whole minute which seemed like an eternity.
"Just because I'm Level 10 doesn't mean you can look down on me Toby"
His head slowly elevated its way towards Toby who was leaning against the wall.
"I've been making an effort to say this to you guys for some time... But now?... it's truly over the maxima I can bear."
Jonathan shifted his gaze from friend to friend, Jin to Toby.

"I am *breathes* in reality... Level twenty-fi..."
What Jin might have insinuated to announce was twenty-five, but his dialogue was abruptly cut off by what seemed like an electronic snag that summoned his status window through his irises, shooting out and gloating to the stupefied trio.
"Level twenty-five... *Gasp*"
Jin's eyes were the first to stretch wide as he witnessed the miraculous sight unfold before his eyes... No!!. THE SIGHT WAS THROUGH HIS EYES, THROUGH HIS SYSTEM!!
"What's... this... Jin??!!"
Jonathan had his jaw hanging when he peered at the status window before him.
Toby shook his friend's shoulders violently after he lunged for them. His eyes were glued to the status window screen which dangled in the air like a piece of loose advertisement posters which hung from electric posts.
[Finally, you found me, my trusted adherent!!]
The familiar electrical voice of his system echoed inside Jin's psyche, but the way it spoke didn't seem too right to him.
Finally??... Found me??... Found whom!!?... and trusted adherent??? What the fuck was his system talking about?. The element of surprises in his occasion of slipping was turning out to be a bit too complicated for Jin as he started wandering onto his world of thoughts while his friends yowled and slapped at him.
[Hm??. What's with my voice??]
[EHEM...ERHEMMMMM]
*Cracks and Radiates*
[Ahh... Better]
The unnatural electronic tone perished as another voice that was deep and husky took its spot.
[Wait!!. For the love of hell!!. Where am I??. What's with this luminous shrouding??]
The mysterious voice grumbled as it scanned the toilet walls through Jin's vision frame.
Little did he know the person it was inside would meet it in a minute.
[Where's my trusted adherent??]
The lights around its vision started fading away.
It was then when the mysterious surprise and the huge impact made an actual repercussion on Jin.
It ostensively made Jin faint.
[Aah it's darker, I feel a lot better]
.....
"Students... Meet Mrs. Gloria, she'll be enlighting us about the rumored demons and demon systems"

"Flashbacks??"
Jin mumbled as his eyes gradually unlocked. He was wafting in what seemed like stagnant water. It would've been strangely better to say that he was collapsing rather than wafting. Though he was inside the water, he could still breathe.
"I remember her... wasn't she someone from the church council??"
"Thank you for the introduction. My name is Gloria and it's nice to meet you all!!!. I have been involved in deliverance ministry for several years and have ministered alongside my husband as well as at times by myself to numerous people."
"I have learned that you never stop learning about the enemy, and how it works in the lives of every single person on Bounton. It is the Holy Spirit that must give you discernment on how to battle the enemy of our souls. In my experience, most people do not want to know about demons. They do not want to even know that they may exist. This is a problem in the arena of spiritual warfare. You can not fight an enemy that you do not believe exists."
"People do not believe that demons exist because the god of this world has blinded, blocked hidden the truth in the minds of unbelievers. Scripture tells us plainly that the god of this world is Satan. He is roaming the world even now, seeking whom he can devour."
"To understand and battle the enemy you have to at the very least first acknowledge that Demons exist. However, we have come to know that the enemy has influenced the minds of unbelievers. In my opinion, this is strategic to keep people bound and unable to walk in freedom."
*Snap*
[Oi Brat??. Wake up... Tell me who you are... and which universe am I in?]
A deep and shaggy voice echoed behind him as Jin yet again opened his eyes to pitch darkness. 'What's going on??' he thought as he slowly stopped his wobbling vision from falling off to another flashback.
[Oi..Oi.Oi]
Jin's body unhurriedly swiveled along with his trembling vision.
[Fill in the blanks brat!]
"Aaa...Aaaaaaa...AAAAAAAA"
"Demon... Demon!!!!!!!"
Jin's face twisted into bends as it conveyed terror and dismay, both on his face and inside his trembling eyes.
Standing tall, almost 3 meters and in front of him, was a red skinned monster bearing two robust horns which twisted vertically and spiraled at its peak on its forehead.
[Ah... So this is how you perceive me?. Not gonna lie, it's pretty remarkable. Look at these horns!]
The monster said as he looked up at the horns and held them with his muscular hands.
"......"
The monster who was smirking looked down at Jin, whose face was still twisted in terror.
[Ah, Kid, I'll introduce myself...]
The smirk which the monster carried widened as he shot his eyes onto Jin's terrified irises.
[I am The Demon Lord]
*SLAP*
"Spat... rppffht"
Jin spat back to existence as his cheeks felt seasoned from Jonathan's mighty slap.
He frantically looked around, striving to catch the demon peeking at him from the corners. But to his surprise, there was no one. He caught sight of the broken urinal which played its part in striking Jin's memory about his fall to condemn.
He finally shook his head and smiled. He was happy, he felt delighted that he snapped out of the terrifying delusion.
"Thank god, it was just a dream... huffff"
He stroked his head and sprinted his hand behind, scouring for the lump inflicted by the massive impact of the frikin urinal.
GULP!!.
His hands shivered as he frantically continued to press down his head in disbelief. There was no pain... No lump... But the magnitude of his plunge on the marble was...
"Now tell me Jin..."
queried Toby's quivering voice.
"Why are you... level 666?"

Heart of Cultivation
Book one is now available for purchase or download through Kindle Unlimited! Jian was a prodigy, at least until he discovered that his path of cultivation had hit a dead end almost as soon as it began. That was all years ago, though. He has long since resigned himself to his fate and prepared himself for a dull, ordinary, but happy life. Stunted cultivation or no, he's clever enough to carve out his own comfortable niche. Unfortunately, not all of the matters from his past have been settled. When a reckless mistake threatens to cost him everything, Jian will have to prove that he's desperate enough to rise to the occasion. Or that he's capable of avoiding the consequences. This is an affectionate reconstruction of the xianxia genre. I will be deploying the tropes from the genre that I enjoy in a framework that I think makes sense. The story updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes other days.

The Demon King Absolutely Has No Attachments
Welcome to Akoras Online, where the power lies in your hands. This sandbox virtual reality MMO has gained a dedicated community, but it has a catch: those who die in battle have their stats reset. Spending all his time on the server to escape his shut-in life, Kas is the only long-time player with a death counter of 0. However, his social skills are also a big 0, so he's condemned as the cold-hearted “Demon King”. Now, the number of players who actually like him is also 0. (Which is fine. He enjoys the peace and quiet.) However, Kas' dreams of being left alone are banished over and over by challengers with various grievances against him. Among them is Gabriel, the celebrity "Hero" of Akoras, who has just as much time on his hands as Kas. Seriously, Gabriel tries to fight him a lot. It’s getting kind of tiring… Wait, this guy isn’t even in high school yet! The (not-so) idyllic trials of a Demon King and a Hero, with a raging faction war in the background. Now updates on Tuesdays, with the odd chapter in between.

Ebony Chitin - Adventures of The Hive
Ebony Chitin - Adventures of The Hive is a story centered around a Hive mind bug elf, and her favorite human-dwarf mutt Richard. The story will shift perspectives between the two, as well as other members of the Hive. Follow along on their adventures for; the friends they make, the enemies they slay, and the questions they seek to answer. Thank you for reading, as always. ^.^ Afterword: Hello there everyone, and welcome back those that have already read the first story. If you are new, don't worry too much about the first step of the series. Truly, this second part aims to cover most of what was done there. Those that have read it will know a few secrets and plot points before we see them. Though it shouldn't detract from your reading of this one. Honestly, the first one was a bit rough, but do as you will. I will warn that this will tackle some serious topics and might end up getting rather explicit in terms of what is done or seen by the characters. There is a bit to cover, so I'll explain what I can between chapters without overloading anyone, hopefully. -Cover Art drawn by Cozie [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

The Fallen Ascending
The tale of Michael Ramsey."Who's he?"", you ask.Read it and find out. Story not related to The 8th Day in any manner. This is something different that I thought I'd try out and have some fun with from time to time. No release schedule is promised, so don't expect one. I'll simply work and write on this adventure when the mood strikes me. We may have 100 updates in one day, and not have any updates for 100 days... As for what it actually is?That's S. E. C. R. E. T!(In other words, I'm not certain where this story is going to take me yet. Decide for yourself if you want to follow along on the ride as I uncover where and what it's about as it grows and evolves!)
