Chapter 4 – Escape
The demon once again went through its routine with different torture devices, it seemed to have lost count of which it had already used and looked through the book it repeatedly writes in. Like always I watch closely to every single move it makes and finally, an opportunity. The demon knocks a Double-edged sword near my left leg, Finally, David thought while quietly wriggling his left leg out of its strap. He moves his foot over and grabs the double-edged blade in between his toes, cutting his foot but he pushes through the pain and pulls the sword as close to his leg as possible before dropping the flat side of the blade on his thigh. Then he moves his thigh slightly and puts the blade at the back of his leg between the back of his shin and back of the thigh before squeezing his leg together on the blade and lifting it up. He moves the blade as far out left as he could before moving the tip of the blade to his left wrist strap and cuts it just enough to let loose his strap.
David’s face was quickly covered with a terrifying grin, If the past me saw how i look right now he would call me insane, he lamented before trying to undo his right arm wrist and right leg strap. However as he undid his restraint he noticed the demon seemed to have picked out a torture device and was moving over to him. David quickly rolled off the bench to the opposite side of the demon, he grabbed the sword he had used earlier and waited for the demon to come closer, Click-Clack, Click-Clack, each step echoing throughout the room, David shivered slightly at the familiar sounds that had ingrained itself in his brain.

Finally the demon had walked close enough to the bench to notice David had disappeared, It screeched loudly, seemingly shaking the room. David did not let that shake him though, he slowly moved his way towards the demon. Once it was in strike range he jumped out and slashed the demon across its left shoulder down to its right hip, however the slash wasn’t deep enough to kill it as it turned around screeching and attacking David with its claws in a downward strike which David barely avoided before falling over as the cut from when he picked up the sword with his foot had started bleeding more heavily and had caused him to lose his balance. He got up as quickly as he could before being attacked by the demon with a series of attacks which David could not avoid.
He was heavily injured, cuts around his entire body, his left arm shattered. He had a hard time breathing and the right side of his chest was extremely sore, he assumed that his lung had been punctured but was not. Even with these injuries he was happy being able to do this much damage to his captor when he didn't have any fighting experience training. I'm mostly just flailing around a sword hoping it hits and trying to avoid as many hits as possible, David thought.
David quickly snapped back to the fight and watched the demon closely, the demon seemed to be in a worse state then him as its injury progressively got worse and its internal organs seemed to be pierced or ruptured. David and the demon progressively got slower and more injured, each of them pushed themselves passed their limit to try and defeat the other. However, the fight had last for 2 hours and both were exhausted, someone was bound to make a fatal mistake. Then the inevitable happened, the demon went to slash David’s neck, David however tried to counter he lowered himself and then moved to the side and put all his remaining strength into kicking it to the ground. David narrowly avoided the intended blow of the demon and while moving and kicking the back of its leg as hard as he could. *Crack

David heard the sound of something cracking but ignored it, he got up and slowly wobbled over to the collapsed demon that was trying to push itself up but failed to do so. He gathered all remaining strength and walked over with the sword and pierced the demon’s head. *Ding
David had heard the noise but ignored it as he stumbled around the room he took out the gag that was in his mouth and started searching through the piles of different tools and different concoctions.
David grinned when he found what he was looking for, he looked at the vial with the red liquid, guess it is something like a potion, huh? He downed the potion and passed out shortly after from blood loss and exhaustion.
