《A New Beginning in a New World》Arrival at home

We are walking for quite some time in the field that I believe leads towards the woman's home. As we get nearer, the structures which I saw from the cliff get clearer and I can now see them as wooden buildings.
The ground beneath my feet is a dirt road and fairly large at that, although the road is empty except for us.
I also need to know her name as it will be easier to talk with her.
While thinking that, I walked near her and gave a fake cough to get her attention. She looked at me questioningly, so I gestured towards myself and told her my name.
"Benedict Cook"
………………..
Repeatedly pointing at myself and saying Benedict Cook must have looked foolish but it was the only way I could try to communicate with her.
I probably look like a caveman trying to speak.
Just as I was thinking about that, the woman nodded her head as if she understood what I was trying to tell her.
"Be-n-dic Cok" was all she managed to say which was not bad at all considering she was trying to pronounce a name in a different language.
She kept repeating the name trying to remember it.
Then, she pointed at herself and said "Doemea Orohid".
Ah! So that's her name. Sounds pretty exotic to me.
I nod to her and repeat her name.
"Doemea Orohid"
I must have pronounced it right because she was smiling when she heard me say her name.
After a lot of twists and bends, we soon arrived near a crossroads of sorts. Now, I could see many wagons and people traveling on the road. The path we were walking before must have been off-road as no people were traveling that path.
In front of my eyes, all sorts of people were there, from people with light skin color to some with dark ones. Some were tall while others were short. A caravan passed the road with some scary-looking guys, probably mercenaries, guarding them.

Doemea nudged me gently to move ahead and so I walked after her.
Now, we were close to the city and I was amazed to see the scene in front of me. There was around a 10 or so meter tall stone wall surrounding the city with towers every few distances. I could see dozens of what looked like soldiers manning the wall. In the center were a big metal gate and some guards at the front of the gate. They were checking the wagons and stuff and letting people and wagons pass after the checking was completed.
Seeing this, I was getting a bit nervous as I didn't know what to say during checking but Doemea would probably take care of that.
I think she will. Right?
As we were approaching the gate and the guards, Doemea put one hand on my shoulder and another to her mouth and gestured me to keep silent.
We arrived at the gate and the guards who were laughing and chatting around suddenly stood at attention when they saw us.
One of the guards who probably was in charge of the gate walked near us and spoke something to Doemea. I couldn't help but be tense throughout their talk.
To my surprise, the guards all saluted Doemea. The guards blocking the gate then got away from the gate and Doemea started to walk towards the gate
I looked at her questioningly but she just gave me a grin.
Entering from the gate, I saw what looked like a medieval city in front of me.
The streets were bustling with people, wagons, and even a few fancy-looking carriages. There were food stalls, people selling their wares, and all sorts of chaos in the streets. It felt refreshing to see this and I was relieved of my tensed mind. Then, Doemea grabbed my hand and guided me through the street towards a place with a bunch of different food stalls.
The pleasant aroma as we arrived near the food stalls hit me like a train. My mouth started watering and my stomach grumbled. I hungrily eyed the different varieties of meat being prepared at the stall. Still pulling me, Doemea lead me towards one of the food stalls where she started rapidly giving orders to the food seller. We took a seat on the stool and table arranged for customers to eat. The food arrived rapidly as well and we had a mini buffet at our table. Different shapes and sizes of meat were present with some kind of sauce with them. Trying one of the meat skewers, I found them very delicious. The meat was juicy with a rich taste and the sauce made the flavor even tastier.

While I was hurriedly eating food, Doemea was silently watching me. She hadn't touched her food.
Fool!!! You should have asked her if she wanted to eat first. Now watching you eat probably killed her appetite.
Angry at not showing proper manners towards my benefactor, I cleaned my hands on the napkin and wrapped one of the meat skewers in the napkin, and put it in front of her.
She shook her head, put the skewer back in my hand, and gestured me to keep eating.
I guess she's not hungry.
After I finished my meal, I was too full to move around. So, we just sat there while I was also soaking myself with the scene of the streets.
After a while, we started to move towards the center of the city. The city looked like it was divided into different parts. The ones we arrived at through the gate had simple houses and businesses while the ones we are traveling looked much better with multi-floor buildings and high-class businesses everywhere. Even the people here dressed differently.
Now we were at another wall, it was smaller than the one we came through. It looked like this was the part of the city for the richest people as I could see a luxurious carriage coming and going through the gate of the wall.
Doemea walked near the guards at the gate as if she owned the place. The guard looked at her and just like at the outer gate, gave a salute and allowed us to pass.
She must be someone with power. Probably the daughter of some minister or someone important in the city.
I was already suspicious when the guard at the outer gate saluted her and now it looks like my suspicion is correct.
Well, I don't care if my suspicion is correct. The important thing is she helped me a lot today.
Thinking that I walked alongside her and this part of the city looked very different than the others. Big mansions and the like were everywhere. People were wearing expensive-looking clothes and the streets were cleaner than outside.
After a short walk, we arrived near a big mansion surrounded by walls. There was a guard at the gate and we arrived at the gate. The guard who was dozing off woke up when Doemea gave a fake cough. Then, looking a bit embarrassed, the guard opened the gate and Doemea motioned me to get inside.
There was a big garden in front of me with the cobbled path that lead to the mansion. The garden was pretty beautiful with different kinds of flowers. There was even a fountain spurting water in front of the mansion. Up close, the mansion looked even bigger than I thought it was.
Wow! A real mansion. This is my first time seeing a mansion this big.
I was quite excited at seeing such a mansion for the first time.
Doemea was walking close to me and we arrived at the front door of the mansion.
There was another guard who upon seeing her opened the big door for her and we both entered the mansion.
