《I'M ALIVE!》Chapter V - "Thou shalt not murder"

Agatha was in tears staring at me. Those desperate eyes… Sofia…her face smiling at me. The poor girl was in a hurry to save my ass while I was having fun mocking Marbas and getting horny looking at Azazel. I could let this Bastard kill her and then chase him to his grave, it would be easier. I will have innocent blood on my hands if I do it. Why am I doing all of this anyway? This will never bring Sofia back to me.
"I am waiting! Put the book on the ground and I let the girl go!”
Is this the kind of race that wants to become our saviors? No, I think he's just a pawn in a bigger game. Grimminir decayed over the course of my twenty-seven years of life, a decadence that we heard was occurring only in the bigger cities. All the suffering caused by these damned lizards along with the rotten human nature. We are just animals. They're animals, I'm Nemesis!
“You won! Let the girl go and the book is yours! I am putting it on the floor and summoning my allies back to the book.”
The infernal flames pass through my body and soul and are directed to the book while I toss it on the ground. Azazel and Marbas are gone. The bastard starts to laugh as he approaches the book and he finally lets Agatha go. I was smoking and watching the bastard getting closer to the book. Agatha was crying, but she was out of the reach of the bastard.
“Now I —
I stab the bastard right in the chest. My fishing knife was hidden and the suit concealed it. The gecko kneels and cough blood, while I puff smoke on his disgusting face. I kneel before the fucker and slowly twist the knife staring at his big eyes.

“You really think you are a superior race? Don’t underestimate a man that went to hell and got back!”
The fucker falls backward. I grab the hilt of my knife with anger. The fucker was still alive. What if I added one stab.
Sphhhlt!
Or maybe two.
Sphhhlt!
This feels good! Three, four, five… a hundred! Did I count it right? When I realized I was on the ground covered in his stinky blood. Agatha was embracing me and crying as she repeated that the creature was already dead.
“ W-wake up, p-please. You killed him, you d-did it. Stop! Please, I beg!”
Did I blackout? I guess I did!
“Agatha! Get me out of this dimension, please!”
“O-okay.”
We teleport back to the shithole. Agatha was very distressed and I did not know what to say. I was covered in blood. The lavender leaf started to burn with a bluish fire and it fades.
“I got expelled! The reptilian forced me to teleport...”
She wants to cry for sure, and I don't know why I care. Fuck!
“I am sorry!”
“You don't need to be. It was my mistake to bring you to Lavender, now I have nowhere to go…”
“Come to my place, Agatha. I owe you that for telling me about those manipulative lizards.”
“Thank you, but I don’t want to bother you.”
“It’s okay. I got a big apartment downtown. Let’s get out of this place. There are some corpses he—
“Freeze!”
Fuck! The fucking police were pointing guns at us. No, it was actually the feds. Guess I have some federal pigs to roast! Wait… What the hell is that thing?

*!* This story is currently being continued on a different page, following years of hiatus and extensive rewrites *!* Please follow the link to read the up-to-date version: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/53863/cycles-of-ruin Basil von Doom is a powerful dungeon keeper with a simple mission: to bring ruin and destruction upon civilized worlds at the height of their decadence and stagnation. Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
