《Scarlet Taste (Vampire! Yandere x Emotionless! Reader)》25. Fear

"He... he's home. I have to go."
And just like that, Ebben was gone.
It would have been nice to have someone to talk to during your final moments. You were prepared to give up your life for Cain, but.... you didn't want to be caught.
You didn't know how do describe the feeling, but you knew what it was. You could hear Cain's footsteps down the hall. You knew he could just appear before you, but he walked and it made you feel anxious. Then the footsteps stopped and you hear Cain chuckle.
"(y/n)."
Cain was right behind you. You took a step forward and you turned around.
You fall over.
You heart sped up, you breathing became shallow.
Cain was smiling at you. His eyes were glowing and he had a twisted grin in his face. Never in your life have you ever felt so threatened, but you couldn't run. You had to help him... because he was all you had.
"Aren't you going to run?" Cain asks.
You shake you head.
Cain laughs, walking over to you and crouching down.
"Why?" He asks
"I... I don't know."
Cain pets your hair and then he sits down on the ground with you.
"That smell...You were talking with Ebben...?"
You nod. Your heart was still beating fast. You were nervous.
"What did he tell you?"
"That you are feral." You breathe out.
Cain stares at you, and you stare back. You couldn't look at him because he was scary. You thought it was stupid to think that way, but you were scared and it was making you think irrationally.
"I thought I was too... we are both wrong. I'm hungry for something else... and to be honest, it might even be more painful that craving blood."
Your eyes widen.
"What? But what about my blood?" You ask.
"Is that an offering? I'll gladly accept, but I want more than that."

"What do you want?" You ask.
Cain looks at you, his eyes half lidded. He's gaze was ice cold and on fire at the same time.
"You."
All sound became static. All you could hear was his voice. You couldn't hear the sound of the floor boards as you ran, you couldn't hear the sound of things falling off shelves as you pushed passed bookcases, you couldn't even hear your own breathing.
What did he mean? Did he want your life? Did he want to kill you? You were scared and confused. All you knew was that you wanted to live.
You ran into a random room upstairs and locked the door behind you. It was the guest room. You lock the door. You try push the vanity up to the door so it would make it harder to open, but you could barely move it. It was way too heavy.
"(Y/n)." Cain calls while walking up the stairs. The way he said your name made you feel even more terrified. His voice was low and husky. What happened to Cain?
You heart was beating so hard, you could feel it when you up your hand up to your chest. You wanted to throw up. This had to be a nightmare... it had to be.
You put you ear up to the door.
"(Y/n)." Cain coos from outside the door.
He was pressed up against the door, his fingernails clawing at the wood.
"Open the door (y/n)." He commands.
The doorknob jiggles, but it doesn't open the door.
"(Y/n)... come out... open the door." He says in a softer voice.
Tears began to roll down you cheek. You were so scared. You didn't like the feeling... and what made it worse is that Cain couldn't comfort you. He was the problem. You were expecting him to be feral. He was supposed to be crazy and delusional, but he wasn't. He knew what he was doing and the way he looked at you only proved it.

"Open it. I won't be mad."
You stare at the door, more tear welling up in your eyes.
"Don't hide from me. I know I ignored you for a few days, but I had to figure things out. Just open the door and we can talk."
"Cain..." You say, your voice cracking.
"(Y/n)...?" Cain say hopefully. "Please come out... I won't hurt you."
"You hurt John." You whispered.
"You went down there? That's bad (y/n)... do you hate me now?" Cain asks. "I sure hope not. Hating me won't do you any good."
He sounded so calm, so relaxed.
The only person who cared about you was Cain. You wanted to stay with him forever... just like he wanted, but....that might not be a possibility anymore because he might kill you. You grasp the doorknob, putting your hand on the lock. The only person you would live for was for Cain... you should be able to die for him too.
"(Y/n)... I..."
"..." you don't answer.
"I love you." He says.
All your fear disappeared. Being scared, being sad, being angry... all of it was a hassle. Feeling anything was worthless. Cain was opening up to you and even though he was acting differently, he was still the only person left that cared about you. Your heart had immediately went back to a steady pace. You wanted to live, but Cain was the reason why you wanted to.
If Cain hated you, you wouldn't have a reason anymore.
So dying for him is fine.
After a minute of silence, you open the door.
Cain stares down at you in surprise. He was happy that you let him see you. You stare back at him, your glossy eyes returning to there usual dullness.
"Are you scared?" Cain asks, caressing your cheek.
"No."
He grins at you.
"You should be." Cain says, scolding you. "But I'm glad that you aren't. That offer still stands. Tilt your head."
You hesitate, before doing so. It wasn't too late to run. He would surely catch you, but it would give you more time to think. It would give you time to process your feelings and get things in order so you could make more rational decisions.
Honestly, you didn't really need to process them. They were worthless.
He brings his face close to your neck, brushing some of your hair out of the way. You smelled nice... just like always. He took a deep breath... He knew that he might be a little rough... you've been driving him crazy for a while. He licks where he wants to bite. He doesn't do that for everybody, but he thought it would help soothe your nerves and maybe even make the experience pleasurable.
He loves you and he wanted to know everything about you.
He knew about you family, he knew about your lack of emotions, but he doesn't know a thing about how you taste and he wanted to know. He wanted to make sure that he was in love with you and not the thought of your taste or your scent... although your smell did add to your appeal.
These feelings have been building up for weeks. Your personality, your small smile, your innocence.... it drove him wild.
His love for you had the same symptoms as becoming feral. He was aggressive, desperate, and he was hungry for affection.
"Just so you know... I won't kill you. I would never. There is no need to run... it hurt when you ran away. Don't ever do that again okay?"
"Okay..."
"Good." Cain's teeth graze over your soft skin.
This was your last chance to run.
And you did not take it.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

Death and rebirth, Rising from the ashes, he vowed. This time i will live to the fullest ! Rated Mature for Blood scenes & possibilities of : slight gore ( 14+). TWG is mostly a light, slice of life read with tints of emotional touches. The story will be easy going and it will lack suspense & battles, since the mc is very OP for a long time. The Harem tag, I can assure you it won't pass 3. This is a Xuanhuan [ Eastern Fantasy ] with a slight deviation to the Xianxia [ Immortal Hero ] genre. It however, breaks away from ordinary Xianxia/Huan tropes with the Mc's strength being over the top since the start. Also, I must warn you that I would never include an R18 scene.
