Zoe's hands were shaking. Her eyes darting from Trevor to Alex. "Zoe baby put down the gun." Daniel begged. "NO! SHE NEEDS TO DIE! THAT BITCH HAS TAKEN WHAT'S MINE!" Zoe was breathing rapidly. "Look at you standing there with your fat belly. That baby should be MINE!
Alex was confused. "Zoe what are you talking about?"
"Trevor was mine! I should have been the Luna! I should be the one having his pups! Then you showed up and ruined everything!"
Daniel looked at Zoe. "Baby you can't mean that. I'm your mate."
Zoe laughed. "Mate. I was in love with Trevor and then you came back. I told Trevor I was going to reject you and he wouldn't let me." Daniel looked like he was punched in the gut. "I thought with time he would want me back. Just when I thought I was making progress you showed up." She swung the gun back in Alex's direction. The enforcers were slowly fanning out, moving closer to Zoe.
Finally Trevor spoke. "I never loved you. We only dated a few times. Why would you think I would forsake my true mate and make you Luna?" He had to keep her focused on him. The guards had come quietly in the door behind her.
She looked so heartbroken. "Trevor you know that's not true. You loved me."
Trevor laughed to distract her. He wanted her mad at him not Alex. The guards were almost in place. "I never loved you. I took you out because I felt sorry for you." The guards lunged. One grabbed her and the other grabbed the gun.
"NO! LET ME GO!" Zoe screamed and trashed. Her eyes turned black and she shifted getting out of their hold. As she lunged towards Alex, Christian shifted and went for her. He grabbed her throat and ripped it with his teeth, throwing her to the ground.

"NO!" Daniel screamed and ran to her. Zoe was barely alive, laying naked on the floor. Alex grabbed a blanket and covered her. Daniel sat down and put her head on his lap. He was stroking her hair and put his other hand over the wound. "Stay with me baby. You're going to be okay." Blood was pouring from the wound and she whimpered.
John came running in the room. "You called me Alpha." They stared at each other and Alex knew they were mind linking. John pulled something out of his bag and handed it to Trevor. "Daniel I need you to move back." Daniel growled. Trevor nodded to Christian and he and Gabriel moved to Daniel. They grabbed him and pulled him back. "No! Let me go! That's my mate!"
"Daniel if you don't calm down. I will sedate you. Do you want to be unconscious when your mate needs you?" Daniel didnt answer, just looked down at the floor but he wasn't struggling anymore.
"Alpha I have her patched as best I can we need to get her into surgery." Edward picked her up and followed John out the door.
"Daniel I know this is hard on you. If I release you will you be okay?" Daniel nodded. "Let's go." Trevor took Alex's hand and followed Daniel to the infirmary. The enforcers positioned themselves around Trevor and Alex. They wanted to be prepared if she died.
They waited for hours. Finally John stepped out and walked to Daniel. "She's alive. It's going to be touch and go. She's lost a lot of blood and her wolf is not healing her."
"What? Why?"
"I don't know son. It's possible that her wolf feels rejected and doesn't want to live. You're her mate. Go to her and reassure her that you're there for her. If she wakes get her to shift, she will heal quicker."
Daniel nodded and walked toward the room. Trevor started to walk with him and he stopped him. "I need to be alone with her."
"I understand. If she needs anything or you, let me know." Daniel nodded and walked away.
"Christian I need two enforcers on the door. She is still a prisoner. Alex let's go upstairs you need to rest."
