《~danganronpa chatfic~》Chapter 32

Eggi and Bakakuya are now chatting-
-Hopes peak groupchat-
"another sleepover?" I thought. "that's gonna take another 10 chapters to finish!"
I mean-
"that sounds cool" I turned off my phone. I laid down on my bed at home. We were kinda on a break and I was just laying on my bed. I'm bored. "well only another 2 hours before we can go" I muttered. Maybe I can just take a quick nap. I closed my eyes but before I could even sleep my door burst open. "MAKOTO"
"GAH!-" I fell off my bed from shock and stood up quickly. "SERIOUSLY KOMARU?!" I yelled. She laughed, "sorry! it's just that I been invited to Celeste's sleepover and I wanted you to know. Byeeee!" she left quickly before I could kick her. I groaned, nothing's more embarrassing then having your little sister come to a sleepover with you. Especially if she knows a few secrets of yours. Then again that's siblings for you. And she didn't even close my door! I closed the door and laid on my bed again. finally some sleep for once
I woke up and rubbed my eyes. No nightmares. That was good. I smiled softly and checked the time. 3:35 pm. "I should probably head over there" I thought as I sat up. I headed out of my room and walked out of my house. It was a chilly January and I'm lucky that I kept my blazer and hoodie on. I checked the address that Celeste sent in the chat recently and started heading over there. She was right, she did live close to Byakuya. I walked there when I heard a shout. "WAIT FOR ME" I looked behind me to find Komaru running after me. I rolled my eyes and slowed down. "heya Makoto!" she gave a small wave. "Hey Komaru" I gave another small wave. She wore her usual sailor girl outfit but with a brown scarf. I should've brought a scarf.

"why did Celeste invite you?" I asked. "no offense" I added. She laughed a little, "actually Toki invited me" she scratched her cheek a little. "that's expected" I said. Sometimes I forget how much alike we were. We basically have the same personality, read the same things and listen to the same basic music. The only difference between us was that her hair had more of a green tone, she was a girl and she was taller then me....sadly. Then again its by 1 inch so I still have time.
We just walked in silence. The only sound was the occasional animal or wind. "sooo you and Togami huh?" she made a face that looked like the lenny face. I didn't even tell Komaru that me and Byakuya were dating yet. "what about us?" I asked scratching my cheek. "you guys seem close" she smirked. "oh look were here!" I said avoiding the topic. We were, in fact, at Celeste's house.
The exterior had black walls and there was a gate that was made of crystal. Except it was also black. I pushed the gate and it creaked open. "what is this a horror movie?" Komaru joked. I laughed a little and we walked through the gate. The yard was paved with stones and we walked on it, joking about how this looks like a horror movie. We stopped in front of a mahogany door. "her house is pretty" Komaru commented. "you haven't even seen the inside yet" I said. I knocked on the door and it opened showing Celeste, in her usual gothic lolita outfit. "ah Komaru. I did not know you were coming" she raised an eybrow. "Toki invited me" She smiled. Celeste nodded and opened the door wider to let us in.

We walked in and the interior was just as dark as the outside. It kinda looked like Byakuya's mansion but much more gloomy and scary. We walked in a living room to find a few of our friends. Including Byakuya. I gave a small smile and he waved a tiny bit. "oh Toko!" Komaru ran over to Toko and started talking to her. Toko looked as if her personal space was violated. Which it was. I walked over to Byakuya who was sitting on the red velvet couch. "hey" I said sitting down next to him. "hello" he said calmly.
"sooo what's up?" I asked. "I'm fine I guess. You?" Byakuya asked. "I'm doing good!" I smiled. "I don't want to be here" he grumbled. "aw come on! its gonna be fun" I poked at his cheek and he swatted my hand away. "I doubt it" he crossed his arms. "it'll be fun" I poked at his cheek again but this time he didn't swat it away like a fly. "it will not. I still hate your friends. and you. but a little less" he said.
"didn't you literally said you loved me?" I teased. He turned a little pink, "that meant nothing" He looked away. "were literally dat-" I was about to say before he cut me off. "shhh. We didn't tell your peasant friends yet" he put his hand over my mouth. "stop calling my friends peasants" my voice was muffled. He rolled his eyes and took his hand off my mouth. Soon, everyone was here. Including Hifumi and Mukuro. Junko wasn't here because Celeste locked her out of the house. we can still hear her yelling.
"soooo how do we know we can trust her?" Leon pointed at Mukuro. Mukuro looked slightly offended but Sayaka looked the most offended. "she changed her ways!" she held Mukuro's hand tightly. Leon rolled his eyes, "didn't she put us in a killing game?" He asked. "I was technically manipulated, abused and brainwashed" Mukuro added in her monotone voice.
....
"F in the chat" Hiro said. Sayaka elbowed him. "ow!" he exclaimed rubbing his side.
"weirdo's" I muttered. "are you ever gonna get along with them?" Makoto asked me. "no. I don't even like them" I sighed. "well that's mean" Makoto pouted. I rolled my eyes, "just because I like you a little more doesn't mean I'll like your friends" I said. His face fell and I think his ahoge drooped. "does your ahoge correspond with your emotions or something?" I poked at it curiously. "uh yeah apparently so" he said laughing a little.
"that is quite the magic ahoge" I said. He laughed and soon after I laughed a tiny bit also. "Your hair is kinda pretty" Makoto said randomly tilting his head. "that was super random" I almost recoiled. "ahaha I know" he laughed nervously. Everyone was talking in either pairs or groups of 3. I was talking with Makoto. Or more like Makoto was talking with me. I kinda just stared at the floor which was made of black marble
it was an depressed floor

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
