《~danganronpa chatfic~》Chapter 37

Me and Makoto just sat on the bathroom floor hugging each other. I still felt like I was bothering him in some way but he kept reassuring me so I guess i'm not? Makoto rubbed my back as I stared at the floor. I stopped crying a few minutes ago, which I was thankful for. I barely cry in front of people but Makoto didn't seem to mind.
"I guess i'm paying you back huh?" Makoto said softly. "what do you mean?" I looked back up. "You helped me with my nightmares and now I helped you with your panic attack" Makoto said with a slight smile on his face. "You didn't have to" I mumbled. "Well I did. Everyone needs help every once in a while" Makoto played with my hair a little. "...hm I guess" I said leaning on his chest.
Makoto continued playing with my hair and talked for a bit. His voice was soothing and before I knew it, I was yawning. "you tired?" Makoto asked. "A little. You?" I asked. He paused for a moment, "yeah I guess" he nodded.
"we should go back to the library" I said. He nodded and stood up while helping me up. My legs were numb from sitting down for so long that I almost fell. "whoa-" Makoto laughed as he helped me. We walked out of the bathroom and started going towards the library. "You're sleeping by the way" I said to Makoto. "Do I have to?" he asked.
"yes."
"why"
"sleep is good for people."
"plot twist. I'm an alien"
"..pftt" I started snickering. He also started laughing and soon enough we were laughing. "W-Well your not so deal with it" I said. "finee" he said as we walked in the library. I sat down on the couch with Makoto sitting next to me. "So are you okay now?" he asked me. I sighed, "I guess." I shrugged. Okay was an understatement but close enough.

Me and Makoto sat in silence. "If you ever need a shoulder to cry on you can ask me!" Makoto smiled. I gave a small smile back, "thanks. That's rather nice of you" I said. "Anything for you" Makoto rubbed my back. I exhaled "its 11 pm. We should sleep" I said. Makoto stiffened a little, "right" he nodded.
I raised an eyebrow, "Makoto I know your scared of your nightmares but come on they cant be that bad, right?" I asked. he inhaled sharply, "wellllll" he laughed nervously. He muttered something I couldn't hear. "huh?" I was kinda confused. "I mean Junko told me to kill myself in a nightmare before" he muttered a little louder.
"She said what?" I asked. Makoto laughed nervously, "yeah that wasn't fun at all" he scratched his cheek. "Of course it wasn't" I scoffed.
"Junko's annoying" I muttered. I mean come on! You end the world because you're bored? Why not do a puzzle or something?
"She is. But her hair is a little cool" Makoto shrugged.
I rolled my eyes, "Oh please she probably washes her hair every month" I said.
Makoto held in a laugh, "Don't let her hear that" He said trying not to laugh.
"If she hears it, fine. Let her." I said sarcastically.
"Why did she even end the world?" Makoto sighed.
"She was bored. Also despair I guess" I shrugged. Obviously it was a stupid reason. The girl needs mental help. Scratch that, she needs death.
"She's weird." Makoto muttered. I nodded.
"I wonder how she knows about your nightmares" I thought aloud.
"It is super weird. I never told anyone besides you." Makoto scratched his cheek and stared at the door. As if he was expecting for her to burst through and slaughter us.

"She's a bitch" I muttered. Makoto stifled a laugh, "That's a little mean don't you think?" he asked
"She killed my family. And like, half the world." I said.
"...true-"
"yep"
"yep"
...
"Let's go to bed" I said. Makoto groaned a little, "Really? Can't we talk a little more?" he asked getting a blanket and wrapping it around his shoulders. "You're stalling so no" I said. Makoto pouted a little but laid down without a complaint.
I also laid down and stared at the ceiling. My mind kept going back to when Makoto said that the Junko in his nightmares said for him to kill himself. He said it so calmly but the question is,
Did he actually consider it?

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

Party Leveling
{A new notification has arrived.} In front of a few people, these hologram-looking messages appeared and changed their lives in entirely different forms. Things such as growing stronger, becoming smarter, feeling more agile, became possible within short periods of time from that point onwards. The one who regretted his weak healing abilities for years began to chase after the magic powers that could turn reason and sense upside down while keeping his goal, this duty to the wrongs he committed. The other one, who complained about his lack of strength, strove towards the path of an unbeatable champion to protect those he held dear. When the person who had everything found a path to desire for more, not fearing the consequences and the obstacles, he also began to walk onwards to a new life. And among them, the one who walked aimlessly but also never stepped down on the choices he made along the way, was the one who couldn’t be ignored nor disrespected by anyone. The “Player” system that they all obtained, and which granted them several abilities, knowledge and directions, was also the beginning of an entire new era in this world where monsters, magic and technology, were already common and wide-spread. There’s not a single hero, but after committing mistakes after mistakes, learning from the painful and thorny path that they take, and growing as people with the people that surround them, then someday... there will certainly be saviors.
