First of all we would like to thank all the young women who pushed their personal boundaries and dug deep to write honestly and openly about their experiences, ideas, and feelings, and committed their time to make this book happen.
The original writers: Suvi Siu, Emma Brown, Annie Grainger, Chi Nguyen, Chauntae Walls, Hilary Quigley, Kristina Pelletier, Rebecca Hodgson-Dewitt. You have no idea how great what you started has become: you have reached so many people's minds and hearts.
The revisers: Imogen Birchard, Corrine Aberdeen, Emily Trinh for taking over the early stages of revisions. Your flare was essential to putting forward a great book.
Outreach: Cyesha Ford and Azia Negru-Harsman who were responsible for getting this valuable information to those young women living in rural Ontario.
We would like to thank Jessica Harrod and Kate Scowen for listening to the concerns of the young women in the Youth Arcade, seeing the potential, and finding resources to make the project happen.
A big thanks to The City of Toronto Public Health who helped fund this project and supported it throughout the years of development by providing valuable information and expertise.
Throughout the process of research and writing this book we had tremen- dous support from community professionals who gave their time and effort to ensure that this book was factually correct without losing the voices of the young women who wrote it. All the professionals who assisted us in the process were chosen because of their unique approach with youth, their open-mindedness, and their ability to keep information accessible and engaging.
A big thank-you to all the young women who hang out in the Youth Arcade who voiced their opinions, their experience, and their criticism in order to have the material in this book be applicable to diverse youth cultures.
A big thanks to David Wichman, who corresponded with us almost daily for months to get this book into publishing form. Thanks for your patience!

An Unwilling Monster
In the city of Kholakel, the highlight of the year for the upper classes is the annual monster pacification of the misty woods. Ostensibly it's a culling of the monster population to prevent them encroaching on urban areas, but it's an open secret that it's actually treated as more of a blood sport, the participants competing to score the most kills. After all, why else would the politicians and elites of the city bother to attend personally? Given the intense competition and high-tech weapons and gear in use, one might wonder how the forest has not yet been completely depopulated. As this year's culling approaches, a group of unfortunate children are about to discover the answer first-hand, but thanks to an unexpected twist of fate, one of them will score the chance to play the role of the hunter instead of the prey. This was an attempt at writing something darker than my usual fare. The story I actually ended up with isn't as mean to the MC as I'd originally planned out, to the point that I'm not sure the story deserves the horror/grimdark tags anymore, but this is still an unfair world with unambiguously evil antagonists. Chapters are short to start with, but get longer once the first act is over.

Shade: A Story of the Legacy
Save those you can. Avenge those you can't. In a world where friends are a liability, Night Riders like Shade have none. Riding alone keeps him alive and lets him help those who have no one else. But when a man who was once his friend—and knows the identity he cannot share with the world—chances upon him, Shade makes the mistake of making the smallest personal connection. But friendship can be a double-edged sword, and darkness haunts Shade's steps. Both are outlaws, hunted by those who conquered their nation. Capture means a slow and painful death; living means fighting a guerilla war against overwhelming odds. Shade has never believed in no-win situations, but even the most dangerous man in Evendar can only fight so many battles. Will this be his last? Set in the world of the Legacy, SHADE is a prequel to NIGHT RIDER, available on Kindle Vella.

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
