《You Make Me Crazy [BangtanBoys/BTS Jungkook]》Chapter 8: Sudden twist

I was about to leave but Jungkook suddenly grabbed my wrist.
I was so shocked because of his sudden behaviour.
"Don't go." He said, his eyes solemn. It was so unusual seeing him like this. It was as if he's a completely different person. I froze. But I somehow wanted to stay with him. I think I was crazy. It might be because of the lack of sleep, right? I've never felt like this before. But I couldn't show him that. I'm not an easy girl at all. Plus I'm different than other girls.
I was looking at him, not knowing what to say.
''L-let go.'' I said. He then let go of me. At the same time he came back to the 'old Jungkook'.
''What?'' He asked. I still couldn't say a word and just left to not let Taehyung wait any longer.
Without thinking I grabbed Yeon Seul's wrist.
"Don't go." I said with a serious tone. What am I doing? I was out of my mind, I guess. I felt the urge to not let her go. Not with that V dude.
I froze as she was looking at me. I wanted to say her to stay so bad. I didn't even know why I felt like this. Especially towards her. What was I feeling right know?
"L-let go." She said. I could see the shock in her eyes. I finally let go. I wasn't able to move. She kept looking at me for a while.
"What?" I finally could spit out a word and came back to the usual 'me'. She quickly ran out of the door and I was standing there, kind of dumbfounded. I went back to my room and lied on my bed. At the same time I found Yeon Seul's phone next to me. I quickly grabbed it, being curious what might be in her phone. Unfortunately, I had to enter a code to unlock it. I tried various codes but nothing's working.
"Damn." I mumbled.
Taehyung was staring at my face to find out what actually happened to me. I was paralayzed. As he was about to say something I interrupted him.

"Um... let's go it's cold." He then didn't ask me anymore even though I could see the curiosity in his eyes, which I think was pretty obvious.
"Thanks anyway." I said.
"No need to thank me." He replied with a soft and warm tone.
"But, how come that you were at Jungkook's house?"
"Well... it's a long story but let's say I had no other choice but stay there." I heaved a big sigh.
"Haha. You poor girl." He laughed a little, ruffling my hair. I was quite suprised. It seemed like as if we've known each other for already a long time.
We've finally arrived his house, which looked huge as well. But comparing to Jungkook's house I could clearly see the different style. The moment I entered the house, I immediately stopped shivering, because of the warmth that radiated.
''Oh, this is your new classmate? You both must be cold!'' An elegant woman with a beautiful face approached me.
''This is my mother.'' Taehyung said. I was amazed of her beauty. How can a mother look so young? I think I finally know what an 'everlasting beauty' is.
''Hello. I'm sorry for disturbing you'' I bowed.
''You're such a pretty girl!.'' She said smiling.
''Thank You.'' I couldn't believe that someone told me I am pretty. But I think she was just nice to me.
''Are you hungry?'' She asked. Taehyung then looked at me wanting to know my answer. I shook my head.
''Not yet.'' He replied.
''I will bring you some snacks then.''
''Where's Dad?'' He asked.
''He has to do some business stuff. A meeting.'' She answered.
''Ah yes. We're going to my room.'' Taehyung said.
''By the way you guys look good together!'' She chuckled. My eyes grew large as she suddenly said that. I was wondering if I heard it right.
''Mum. Stop please!'' His cheeks turned red. I couldn't stop giggling. It was kind of cute.
We both went to Taehyung's room. There was a big shelf, filled with books. He liked reading indeed. Looking at all these books reminded me of my old home. Dad was also kind of a bookworm. I was looking around his super clean room.

"I'm sorry for always interfering in your life." I apologized and heaved a big sigh. I realized how much he helped me out.
"Why are you saying that?"
I turned around to look at him, not really knowing what he means.
"I'm happy to help you if you need me." He smiled. Well I think he was helping people all the time. I wasn't an exception.
"But still I don't understand why you want to be friends with me."
"Isn't it obvious?" I was thinking what he means.
"Because I like you." He said. I choked. My eyes grew large, not being used to it at all. Did I hear it right? I was at a loss of words. But that couldn't be. He was kidding, I guess. I didn't dare to ask again.
"You are different and there aren't a lot girls who are as tough as you. I think those kind of girls like you are better." I might look tough, but inside I was weak. That's what I know about myself.
"Um... Yeah." That's all I could say at this moment. I tried to change the topic.
"You play guitar?" I asked pointing at the guitar in the corner of his room.
"Yup." He smiled.
"I want to play guitar too."
"Want me to teach you a bit?"
"Well, I've always wanted to try playing guitar. Sure." I said and smiled at him. He was teaching me the basic chords, which I could learn pretty fast.
"You're good." He complimented me. I gave him the guitar as a sign to play something on it.
"What do you want me to play?" He asked.
"Anything you want." I replied. He then started playing a slow song, which sounded beautiful. (CLICK ON THE VIDEO ON THE RIGHT SIDE)
Suddenly he gave me the guitar.
"I'm going to teach you the song I played before." He looked at me and gave me a smile. Well, it was quite difficult but I was so focused on it and I wanted to keep trying and until I can play a bit at least.
He stood behind me, looking whether I played the chords right. He suddenly came closer to me, helping me to hold my fingers at the right strings. I could feel my cheeks burning like fire and my heart was beating so fast. I wasn't used to it. I couldn't even concentrate. Our eyes met and we looked at each other for a few seconds.
''It's almost 12pm. I need to go.'' I finally broke the silence.
''Well, okay.'' He said and looked at me suprised.
***
As I left the house I sighed loudly and felt so uncomfortable. I was in a daze, not being able to realize the situation with me and Taehyung yet. I walked home and noticed someone behind me. I continued walking for a while. Few minutes passed by and I finally turned quickly around and I saw Jungkook. My eyes widened.
''Go away.'' I said coldly.
''I go wherever I want.''
''Tsk. I still don't understand how you became so popular. Those girls are so blind.'' I said, looking at him annoyed. He laughed and looked at me, not believing what I've just said.
''It can not be that like every girl is blind. I think you're the one who has to realize it.'' He smirked and slowly came closer to me.
''I'm not scared.'' I said trying to sound convincing. I always stepped backe when he was coming closer. Until a wall stopped me. He smirked, his hand beside left my ear. I got quite nervous but I still looked at him in disgust.
What the heck is he trying to do?
''Try to defend yourself.''
Before I could even say a word, he pressed his lips against mine.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
