《You Make Me Crazy [BangtanBoys/BTS Jungkook]》Chapter 21: Rollercoaster

It was a wonderful afternoon after my chemistry exam which was the last exam as well. I looked up at the beautiful clear sky and took a deep breath enjoying every moment of it.
And you know what? I didn't feel too bad about the exam. In fact, it was one of the very few times where I actually had a good feeling about this, which is very rare.
Maybe it was because of Jungkook, or maybe not, I wasn't sure about it since we did get kind of distracted. I blushed by the thought of it and without noticing my lips turned into a slight smile.
"Are you thinking about the kiss?" Jungkook suddenly appeared behind me, causing me to wince a little as I turned around to face him. However, I did ask myself whether he could read minds or maybe I was a bit obvious even though I was quite sure I wasn't.
"No, I don't." I raised a brow.
"Liar." Jungkook laughed and put his arm around my shoulder. Not that he was already taller than me but he had to put all his weight into it and my shoulders could barely withstand it.
There was one question that couldn't be answered yet. I've been thinking about it for a while now but there was no comprehensive answer to this. Reality hit me as I heard another girl crying and sobbing as she left the building.
"Hey, you won't fail so don't worry too much." One of her friends said as they tried to console her.
Jungkook noticed me watching them and added a useless comment to it.
"Well I hope you won't end up like her after getting the results." He said and a little smirk was seen on his face.
"Yeah you should worry about yourself." I rolled my eyes. I was actually a quite good student even though many people didn't think so since I barely participate in class.
Jungkook's slightly annoyed face was seen after my remark.
''It's not that I'm stupid but I just don't see why I should make an effort.'' He commented, "what I'm saying is, I am intelligent."
I snorted and tried to suppress my laughter which was indeed difficult because of his funny claim. I couldn't even form an opinion about this because as much as I know, he was barely at school, except for the exams and up until today I never felt like I have to know his grades.
"Anyways, I feel like eating. You wanna come?" Jungkook asked and waited for my answer.
"To celebrate that we've survived all these exams?" I asked again and crossed my arms.
"Yeah sure. But that's not my only intention." He smirked evilly and that just made me want to throw up. Even though I didn't ask again, I had some kind of idea what he meant. The reason that I felt so attracted to him didn't make it any easier.

Being with Jungkook has always been a roller coaster of feelings and knowing that he might be just playing with me like any other girl or he is just not good for me, caused me to think that it wasn't actually love. It was just a phase.
I agreed to 'celebrate' the end of exams and went with Jungkook to eat some nicely cooked meat. Meat is love. Defining me is not possible without mentioning food.
We took a seat and Jungkook was just about to order as I interrupted him.
"Wait. Since you asked me to come with you I am not going to be the one to pay." I said, trying to sound as if it was a matter of fact although there was an undertone of query.
He didn't reply but only gave a short laugh and continued ordering a bunch of pork and beef.
"You gotta pay a lot for that." I slightly smiled, partly in awe at the amount he ordered since we both had to eat all of that.
"So tell me about yourself." Jungkook asked immediately after and leaned forward, giving me his full attention.
"We're not on a blind date."
"What? But I thought so." He pouted.
"Dude, we're high school students." I raised my brow, trying to make him realise that this was nonsense.
"You know, our first encounter wasn't that pleasing for neither of us." He added, "I thought it would be great to start over again."
Seconds passed and we both burst into laughter.
"Wow that's indeed some bullshit I was talking about." He said and I agreed.
"Just let it be." I laughed.
After that, we just ate in silence or more like, I didn't have time to talk since my mouth was constantly stuffed.
"How can such a girl like you can eat so much?" Jungkook looked at me with an amused expression.
"You're quite late to realise that." I looked at him and added. "Experience."
"Born as a foodie." He commented. I didn't say anything to it. It was kinda true, maybe?
"About your mom." He suddenly spoke and made me lose my appetite immediately.
"You know what, I have to go now." I suddenly stood up and left.
My mood was ruined and the thought that I have such a mother is just humiliating. She was the main reason why my school life turned like this, why I turned like this.
I was sure Jungkook didn't intend to hurt my feelings, and I wasn't hurt, but I felt so embarrassed and I've never talked with someone about my mother except for my best friend.
I decided to stop by Taehyung's home.

"Did you starve or anything?" Taehyung asked as he made himself a drink.
Taehyung's parents were working. Hence, I didn't have to meet his father again because it would end up being extremely awkward again, especially for Taehyung and me.

I made myself comfortable on the couch and constantly switched channels. There was nothing worth watching on TV.
''No, but you have some snacks.'' I answered casually and noticed a little laugh from Taehyung.
''You're cute.'' He murmured, still in the kitchen doing something.
''What did you say?'' I turned around only to see his back.
''Nothing.'' He said in a lower tone and turned around, smiling at me.
''If you say so." I hesitated but thought it wasn't that important anyway.
I heard my phone ringing but I was too lazy to stand up and take it out from my coat.
''Hey, could you please get me my phone. It's there.'' I pointed at my black coat.
''It's your dad.'' Taehyung said and handed me my phone.
''Hello?''
''Hey sweetie, are you at home already?''
''Not yet. Why?'' I asked, confused of what was going to come.
''Well I'm not going to be home until tomorrow evening.'' He then added, ''Because of work. You can stay at your friends house or do something like a sleepover. Anything but a party. It's friday anyway.''
''Don't worry.'' I replied in confidence.
''What did he say.'' Taehyung asked curiously.
''I'm staying at home alone, I guess.'' I said and grabbed a pack of snacks.
''Well, you could stay here. If you don't want to be at home alone.'' He offered.
''It's fine. I'm old enough to stay home alone.'' I looked at him and smiled.
''Are you sure you're old enough?'' This time I glared at him and punched him hard while he tried to defend his body.
It was about 6:30pm and because the weather was so gloomy it was already dark outside. I listened to some music while surfing on the internet as I heard something falling. I stopped everything I did, my heart skipped a beat and I kept silent for a few seconds. After that, I went on with what I was doing until the door, probably the one of my room, as the wind slammed the door, making a really loud noise and I almost fell from the couch. I started to get paranoid and usually, I'm not like this but today's just crazy.
I called Taehyung because I was just too afraid of being alone.
''Hey-'' I hesitated, can I stay at yours just as long as the storm is over? I mean best friends help each other out right?'' I asked while looking around my home.
''It's fine.'' Taehyung said and I felt so relieved.
''Okay, I'll be there soon!" I said immediately, about to hang up.
"Wait! Should I pick you up?"
''No need to, I'm fine!'' It was obvious that I was in a rush. I took my backpack, phone as well as an umbrella although I'm sure it wouldn't be much of an help because it was so freaking windy. Before I could go, I had to turn off all the lights, because I was scared, and after turning off the last light I quickly closed the door behind me.
I was running because the storm was annoying as hell and I lost my umbrella on my way.
As soon as Taehyung opened my door I rushed in, breathing heavily.
''What is that?'' He pointed at my head and I just noticed the plastic because that was wrapped around my head.
''Because my umbrella couldn't keep up.''
We both ended up watching Descendants of the sun and I fangirled over the actors and actresses.
''When are your parents going to be home?'' I asked, making sure that I avoid his dad. Exactly at this moment I heard the door open and grabbed Taehyungs shirt and literally froze.
"I'm home."
"Hey mom." Taehyung looked at me and tried to not burst into laugther. I was so relieved after hearing Mrs. Kim's voice.
Mrs. Kim entered the living room with some groceries in her hand.
"Oh Yeonseul!" She smiled.
"It's very nice to meet you, Mrs Kim." I bowed 90°. "I'm sorry for this inconvenience."
"No, don't apologise! You're always welcome. But if Taehyung told me that I would've cooked something delicious."
"It was quite sudden either way." Taehyung answered and I tried to hit him secretly, murmuring a'shut up'.
"You don't have to that." My gaze shifted to her plastic bags full of food. "Let me help you with that." I quickly grabbed the plastic bags and headed to the kitchen. I turned my head around only to see Taehyung looking a bit too amused for my taste and I, on the other hand, had the word "uneasy" written all over my face. However, Mrs. Kim didn't seem to notice that and I was thankful for that.
After eating dinner, because Mrs. Kim insisted, we went to Taehyung's room, and I felt so full I though might explode.
I was lying in bed and looked at my phone as Taehyung lied next to me as well, looking at me with an expression I couldn't really identify.
Minutes passed and none of us said anything.
"I'm sorry." I suddenly spoke.
"About what?" He asked, looking a bit bewildered.
"About you having to deal with me all the time." I questioned myself why it had to be Jungkook, who was so rude to me and not Taehyung. Why does it always have to be the one, who hurts the most?
"So you knew it was hard for me." Taehyung's laugh was partly filled with sadness.
I closed my eyes for a second and he quickly was on top of me, both of his arms supporting his body. I felt like my heart stopped beating and my whole body felt numb.
"Stop me if you don't want to." Taehyung said and slowly narrowed the distance between his lips and mine.
