Daniel's POV
We walked in with Morgan, her name I didn't know until Merritt decided to flirt with her. I put my bag down in a chair, Morgan's eyes floating over the room. She looked at the floor to see the Four Horseman symbol; she started to smile an adorable smile. "So, I guess we should start with names." Henley said. "I'm Morgan Steel." She said. "I'm Henley Reeves." Henley said. "I am Merritt McKinney." Merritt said, taking her hand and kissing it; not necessary Merritt. "I'm Jack Wilder." Jack said, taking Morgan's hand and shaking it, probably giving her a wink or something smooth. "And, you already know who I am." I said, walking over to her and Jack. I took her hand to shake it; a sudden shock with through my body as I shook her hand. I looked at her face, a bright smile forced me to smirk. "Um, how about we sit down and Morgan can tell us about herself." Henley said. Were we standing there long? Oh well.
"What would you like to know?" Morgan asked as she sat down on the couch with Henley; Merritt was standing in the corner, Jack sitting in one of the chairs, and I in the other. "Well, a short description would be nice. Nothing too deep. I've dealt enough emotions for a while." Merritt said. "Ok. Well, I just turned 18 last week." Thank God, she's an adult. "I live with my Mom and my two brothers." Where's her Dad? She might have Daddy issues then. "Um, I'm a waitress at a local diner in Nashville, but I also sing and do magic on the side." She can sing? Well, we'll just have to hear that. "When did you start doing magic?" Jack asked. "Um, since I was real young. My Dad was a magician, more cards than anything. He taught me a lot of what I know about card tricks. But, um, he died about 5 years ago." Morgan explained. "Aw, darling. I'm so sorry." Henley said. "What happened?" Jack asked. "Cancer. They caught it at a mid-stage. The cool thing is that Dad got to perform his last magic show two hours before he died." She said. "Have you been teaching yourself the rest of the stuff you know?" Merritt asked. "Um, some stuff. One of my Dad's friends, he teaches me some stuff as well." "Random question, does your Mom know you're here?" Henley asked, always looking out for people. "Um, yes she does, but not for this reason. She's been in LA for the past week. I had just enough time to get my youngest brother to his nanny myself; Mom was supposed to do it, but her business meeting was moved. Her mind set is 'If I wouldn't do it, don't do it', but she wouldn't follow a card to meet people she didn't know." Morgan said. "How old is your brother?" Henley asked. "Oh, um Jayden is 15 and Jackson is 7. Jayden is with my best friend and her family. Jackson has to be with a nanny for his medicine." "Wait, Jackson as in the kid you were taking up money for at your show?" I asked. "Yeah. Jackson has a rare state of downs syndrome. It deals with his learning and speaking areas in his brain. He has to have special treatment and stuff like that. When the doctors first found it, they didn't think he would live past 5, but now with the treatment, they're thinking 15 or 16." Morgan said. Wow, who would have thought such a girl like her has all this stuff on her plate. "Wow, we got a lot deeper than I wanted." Merritt said, making Morgan laugh a sweet adorable laugh. I then felt my phone vibrate. I pulled out my phone; it was Dylan.

"Hello?" I asked the phone as I got up and left the room. "Hey, is Morgan there yet?" Dylan's voice asked. "Um, yeah. We've been doing storytelling." I said, looking at Morgan. "So, is she Horseman material?" Is she? I mean, her trick was amazing. It was flawlessly exhibited; I couldn't debunk it. And she's absolutely gorgeous. "I mean, the rest think she's good. She's nice." I said, trying to sound like my mysterious self. "That means you like her, too. Good. Morgan's always been a lovable little girl." Dylan said. Why does he have to do that to me? "Well, I'm at the apartment. I'll be there in a minute. Keep the door unlocked, please?" Dylan said. "Alright, boss." I said, hanging up. "Who was that, Danny?" Merritt asked. "The Boss." I said our code name for Dylan. "The Boss? Should I be knowing this person?" Morgan asked. "You should already know." I heard Dylan said, entering the apartment. "No way, Uncle Dylan?!?" Morgan asked, jumping up. Wait, Uncle Dylan? "Hey, M&M." Dylan said, walking into the living room, arms open for a hug. Morgan gave him a hug, surprising all of us. "Uncle? I didn't know you had siblings, Rhodes." Merritt said. "He's not really my uncle." Morgan said, breaking the hug. "Morgan is my goddaughter. Her dad and I were best friends back in the day." Dylan explained. "Ever since Dad died, Uncle Dylan has been a father figure, especially for Jackson. Jayden started calling him Uncle when he came to his second Christmas with us. It has sort of stuck because he's practically an uncle." Morgan said. "I've taught her everything she knows." Dylan said. "Not everything." She said, making me laugh a little. "Have you had lunch yet?" Dylan asked. "Is that a general question?" Jack asked. "Yes, Jack, I'm concerned about adults eating their lunch." Dylan said, sarcastically. "Sweet, I'm starving. Where are we going?" Jack asked, revealing his natural naïve self. "Be back by around 1:30." Dylan said, heading for the door with Morgan. Yep, she's staying.
