What is going on?

:

You keep running as fast as you can, not daring to look behind you.

Soon, you have to stop to catch your breath. It seems as if there is no escape from this forest.

You fall to your knees in exhaustion, panting.

Then, you see something white flutter from the corner of your eye.

There is a piece of paper nailed onto a tree.

You get up and walk over to it, curiously studying the scribbles on the paper.

In sloppy writing, there are the words

'Always watches, no eyes' scribbled onto the page, with a drawing of a tall figure surrounded by trees underneath.

Confused, you take the paper off the tree and put it in your pocket. You'll do further inspecting on it later.

But what you don't know, is that you've started a deadly game.

I tell (y/n) to run and shove her away, fearing that the Operator's nauseous side effects will harm her.

Fortunately, she obeys and takes off into the woods.

I turn back to slender. I can sense that he is furious.

"What have you done, child......you have disobeyed me." His ghostly voice echos angrily throughout my mind.

"I'm sorry master. I was going to kill her." I reply, hoping that he will let me go.

"You're lying to me, Jack. I sent you on a mission. I expected you to do it correctly." My master

"But-"

"There will be absolutely no arguing, Jack. I want you to complete your mission. If you don't do it, I will. I want her blood."

Suddenly, all goes silent. The sky goes dark, and it feels like time itself has stopped.

This means only one thing....

She took a page.....Oh, God, she took a page.... a thousand things are running through my mind. As soon as a page is taken, there is no escape until all eight pages are collected...and that rarely happens.

The Operator chuckles. "Looks like the games have begun. You've lost, Jack. Your duty is over. Go back to the others. I will punish you later."

Before I can reply, he is gone.

No! He can't end her! She's mine! I am the one who needs to end her, not him!

This is when I stop thinking. My mind shuts off and I start to run.

will kill her.

will succeed.

will win.....
