《Demigods Meet Mortals》Venus Scott (Hazel Levesque)

Hey, I'm Venus, and yes, I'm apparently named after the Roman goddess of Love, and ironically, I hate everything about love. I mean, I do want to get married to someone and have a family in the future, but at the moment, I don't have any interest for any boys in my school, I mean, their so imature! There's things like popularity these days, and there's the player, the nerd, the emo, popular, loser, bullies, jocks. You know what I mean.
Anyway, today I was ranting about all this to my best friend Hazel Levesque when I had an idea, that had only a little to do with what we were talking about. "Hazel, I just had the best idea ever. You know how I said that I had some friends who don't live nearby? Well, you can meet them tomorrow!" Hazel grinned, "Even your crush?" I nodded shyly, what? I did say I don't like anyone in school!
The day after came fast, and it was time to show Hazel to my friends, we were waiting for them after school and Hazel was getting really bored. "When are your friends gonna be here?" I smiled, then saw them. I pointed at the van with the words Delphi's Strawberry Service on it, "That's them!" Hazel stood up slowly and smiled slowly, "No. Way. In Hades." I was weirded out, I knew the gods were revealed, but that was a weird thing to say.
My friends came over and I smiled, "Hazel, these are my friends, Jason, Reyna, Piper, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, and Fran-" "Frank!" I took a step back, "You know them?" Hazel nodded. I smiled and gestured at Frank when they weren't looking and put a heart sign to let Hazel know that he was the person that I liked. I expected Hazel to nod, give me a thumbs up, or smile, but she did what I did not expect, she scowled and look slightly protective now, what?

I didn't know what to say, but my mind decided what to say for me, "Giants?" Jason and Percy seemed to hear me first, despite the fact that they were the furthest from me and I whispered it, the boys exchanged a look of dread before exchanging glances with everyone else and Hazel stayed next to me while I saw Percy and Jason holding swords, "What the freaking hell?!" I knew that the Greek gods were alive, the giants were reasonable, but my friends apparently being giant killers was what shocked me.
Everyone ran off with weapons in their hands while Reyna stayed back for a minute, "Hazel, we need the Mist." Hazel nodded and Reyna ran off. I stared at Hazel in confusion, Hazel finally turned to where the others were and cursed in what seemed to be... Latin? I could hear her murmur the name Enceladus. She at last turned to me, "Venus, I need you to stay next to me at all times, okay? It's for your own safety." I nodded slowly and she turned her attention back to the giant.
I could see Jason apparently flying above the giant's head and diving around, Piper talking to the giant, weird. Leo with fire in his hands, he could burn himself! Percy somehow was standing on a whirlpool of water, Annabeth was talking with Reyna and Piper while slashing around, seeming to be looking for a weak spot. I couldn't see Frank, but I did see a big bear running around the giant, looks like it was looking for the chink in Enceladus' armor as well? "Hazel, what the hell is going on?" She smiled sadly at me and raised her hands, that's when my world turned upside down, literally.
The school turned upside down, and I mean it literally turned upside down. I was standing on the sky, Hazel was surrounded by what seemed to be magical mist. That's when I realized what it was, and I learned about someone who could control it. "Oh my god, you're Hazel Levesque. As in, the Hazel Levesque. Daughter of Pluto. Oh my my god." Hazel nodded and continued to cause jewels to rise from the hard earth and the Mist to manipulate the giant. I stood there, watching in awe as the seven and Reyna fought the giant bravely.

"I will be back demigods, Gaia will reign!" Were Enceladus' last words before he made his quick escape. The demigods in the air descended and they grouped up, a small kid in black clothing and a skull ring appeared from the shadows and whistled. A huge dog, hellhound, jumped out and the demigods left. The last thing I saw before they disappeared into the shadow was the black pits in the dark boy's eyes. I walked back into the school, almost fell, but was caught by Katelyn, "You okay, Venus?" I smiled and giggled, "Yeah." I just found out my friends are demigods. Katelyn looked concerned for a second before shrugging, "Okay. Let's go."

Living a Long Life as a Legend
Reincarnating into a game-like version of a medieval magical world was fine and all. A good blend of two enjoyable tropes. Lock wished he'd been born with a bunch of cheats sometimes, sure, but he could settle with being functionally immortal by abusing the system as well.
