《Elijah》32

It was 8:25am and I was dressed and about to leave the house.
"You're up early." Ken said as she was about to leave too.
"Eli wants me there at 9." I said while grabbing my keys and walking to the door.
"I see. You look very cute by the way, he's gonna have a problem staying focused." she said and gave me a wink as we walked out of the door.
I was wearing a long sleeve and tight fitted black dress that I made sure went all the way down to my knees. I had to wear my glasses because I was too tired and incapable of finding my contacts. I also wore red pointed toe heels.
I hopped in my car and headed to headquarters.

'7172' I said to myself as I entered the code.
I drove in and found a parking spot that wasn't reserved then got out with my bag.
I made it in good time, it was 8:51am.
"Excuse me..." I said as I got to the front desk.
"Yes, ma'am, how can I help you?"
"Hi, um where do I go to get an I.D. to open the doors?" I asked.
"That is on the second floor, the woman at the desk will assist you, but before I send you up there I need to know what your occupation with us is."
"She's my assistant..."
Right when I was about to answer I heard a voice that I knew very well. I still love to hear his voice.
"Yes, sir. Then I need her to sign here, and while that happens I'll put her name into the system." she said and slid me a pen and paper.
"What's your first name then last name?"
"Leyla, L-E-Y-L-A, Williams." I said as I signed the paper.
"Gotcha, you're free to go." she said with a smile.
We headed off to the elevator.
"Good morning, Ms. Williams." he said as we stepped into the elevator.
"Good morning, Mr. Matthews." I said as the door was about to close and I pressed the second floor button.
The door shut but before it could take off, Eli slammed the stop button and shoved me against the elevator wall before we kissed each other hungrily. His hands slid over my body and then up to grab my neck.

He let me go and pressed the button to let the elevator start again. I fixed my dress and glasses then tried to keep my composure.
The elevator dinged and we got out.
...
I got my I.D. then we went up to Eli's office.
He let me use my card to open the door.
"On your desk you should find a calendar, apparently on it my last assistant wrote the next ten meetings I have to attend. I need you to remember them, write them down, whichever because it will be your job to let me know. Any new meetings scheduled go through you, I have no knowledge until you tell me." he stated and gestured at my desk.
He closed his door then went to his desk as well.
I began writing everything on this notepad I had connected to a clipboard.
"Today @4 w/ Samuels." I wrote.
...
I heard the clacking of a computer keyboard and looked up to see Eli working. I looked back down so he wouldn't catch me staring.
'He looks so cute when he's working.' I looked back up after writing down three more dates and times and saw him writing too. I looked down again. 'If I just gave him a peck on the cheek would that be unprofessional? Yes.' I tried my hardest to not look back up at him. 'Focus. Focus. Focus. We can't have him thinking you're unprofessional on your first day.'
I finished my work and he even showed me how to take phone calls, put them on hold, or forward them to him. Finally, it was time for lunch.
"Are you joining me, Ms. Williams?" Eli asked as he got out of his desk.
"Sure, but I need to remind you that your meeting is in a little over two hours." I said while I checked my clipboard and then the clock.
"Thank you." he stated.
We got downstairs and walked outside.
"I don't feel like driving." Eli said and pulled out his phone.
"Hey, David, bring the car around please." he said into the phone.
'Who the hell is David?' I wondered.
Quickly a car that wasn't Eli's raced to the front of the building and pulled up at our feet. Eli opened the back door for me and we both crawled in.

"David, you know where the new deli is, correct?" Eli wondered.
"The one on 53rd, sir?" David asked.
"That's the one."
"Understood, sir." David pulled off and got onto the road.

At lunch Eli finally spoke to me like I was his girlfriend and not his helper. When that was over we went back to the building and I explained how it was time for Eli to get ready for his meeting.
"I should tell you that your meeting starts in 30 minutes." I stated.
"And who will be at this meeting?" he asked.
"It's hosted by Mr. Samuels, but Jenkins, Levi, Johnson, Donaldson, Rogers, and Smith will be in attendance." I said as I read over my notes.
"You're doing great at your job, Ms. Williams, do you mind bringing me a black coffee before I head to Samuels' office?" he said as we entered his office.
"Not at all." I left his office to go and fix the coffee.
When I got to the lounge, it just looked like a boardroom with bagels, a charcuterie board, and a coffee maker sprawled out on the table.
The coffee maker looked incredibly high tech and I didn't even know where to begin.
"Ummm..." I said aloud as I examined it.
I heard a chuckle behind me. "Need help?"
I turned around and a young looking guy was behind me and leaned against the doorway as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Uh...If you don't mind," I said, a bit embarrassed.
"It's no problem. It gave me issues, too, on the first try." he laughed.
He showed me the steps and cracked a few jokes along the way and then began the machine.
"Thank you so much." I said.
"Yea, no problem. I'm Matt, by the way." he said and held his hand out.
"Leyla." I responded and shook his.
"Beautiful name." he responded with a smile. I laughed it off.
"So you're new here?" he asked.
"Yea, how'd you know? The coffee machine?" I asked.
"No, it's just, if I'd ever seen you around here, I definitely would have remembered."
Smooth talker.
I laughed it off again.
"Well, yea um...today is my first day." I explained.
"I see, so are you working on a new case or..."
"I'm an assistant..."
"Oh! Okay, for who? Maybe I've seen them."
"Mr. Matthews." I replied.
His eyes widened.
"I didn't know he hired a new assistant. Wow. Well umm...he has great taste." he stated.
'Laugh it off.'
Finally, the coffee was done and I poured it into a cup and topped it with a lid.
"Well, thank you, for that." I said and pointed to the coffee machine.
"Yea, of course."
"I'm gonna-...I gotta go." I said as I backed out of the room. "Nice meeting you!" I said as I turned the corner and gave him a wave that he returned.
"Here's your coffee." I said as I propped it onto Eli's desk.
"Thank you very much. I have something for you as well." he said and reached into a bag.
He pulled out a tablet with a black case and handed it to me.
"Oh-..."
"It's to make you more organized. Also my name is inputted into it so meeting arrangements, change of scheduling, scheduled phone call times, and emails, that are for me will be sent to that tablet and you will manage it." he explained.
"I see. Sounds great." I said and turned it on.
"Passcode is the same as the pin for the gate outside. Are you ready?" he asked and stood out of his chair while fixing his sleeves.
"Ready for what?" I asked.
"You are aware that you attend meetings with me, correct?" he asked as he put on his suit jacket.
"Oh-...Oh! Yea. Right. I'm ready." I replied.
"Let's go then."

Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
