《Clace one-shots》Are You....?

ALEC
I fumbled with my keys for a moment before opening the door to the loft. It had already been an exhausting day of demon hunting and I was ready to crawl into bed and fall asleep.
When I opened the door I was met with darkness. The light from the hallway I had just walked from cast a small shadow of light into the room.
"Magnus?" I called out. I waited for a reply, but no sound was made. I pulled out my Seraph Blade. I was not about to risk being attacked unprepared... especially if Magnus needed me. "What if he was taken. Or worse–" I sent the thought out of my mind before I could finish it instantly. I needed to be focused.
I left the door open and took a few steps into the loft. I heard a small noise from the bedroom, so I made my way there cautiously.
I wrapped my hand around the cool metal handle of the door and quietly turned it.
I was finally in the bedroom and I was just about to turn on the light when I heard a cough. Fear raced through my mind and I couldn't see anything. "Is it Magnus? Is he hurt?" I thought to myself. I reached for the light again, but this time I heard a small sneeze come from the bed.
A small smile crept onto my lips. It was still incredibly hard to see, but I managed to stumble over to the lamp and turn it on. My smile grew even bigger when I saw Magnus fast asleep buried under what looked like fifteen blankets.
I stared at him with a smile and I tried my best not to laugh. It was definitely not something you saw everyday from the High Warlock of Brooklyn.

A small chuckle escaped my lips by accident and he began to move around slowly waking up. "Alec?" He mumbled quietly. His two cat-like eyes opened and were staring right at me. He coughed once, then twice, and then about three more times after that.
"Are you....?" He cut me off before I could ask. "No!" He half yelled. His voice sounded scratchy like he had been yelling for an hour straight. I leaned against the wall and just stared at him with a smile on my face. I knew he would rack at any moment.
Sure enough he did and he sneeze about three more times. I chuckled again and he glared at me weakly. "What are you laughing at?" He asked me. I laughed again. "You're sick." I replied.
"I am no such thing." He fired back. I knew he was trying to be angry, but it wasn't working. "Ill be right back." I told him. He grimaced, but I left anyway.
I walked to the kitchen and made some soup quickly. When it was finished I walked back into the room. "Here." I said to him while handing the bowl over.
"No." He said while turning his head away from the bowl. "Why not?" I asked. A small smile played at my lips. "Because you are a Lightwood and I do not trust Lightwood cooking. I dont want to get even more sick than I already am." He explained.
"So, you're telling me that you just admitted to being sick?" I asked him not hiding the smile anymore. I pushed the soup closer to him. "Just try it." I said. He groaned in annoyance and unwillingly took a bite. One bite turned into three, and before I could blink it was all gone.

"I take back what I said. I dont trust any Lightwood to cook for me other than you." I chuckled. "Jace technically isn't a Lightwood." I told him. He gave me a serious look.
"Did he spend most of his life with the Lightwood's?" He asked. "Yeah." I said. "Then he is considered a Lightwood to me. Therefore I do not trust him."
I laughed, but before I could say anything else, he had fallen asleep once again. I smiled and crawled on top of the bed. I would have rather been cold, than have fifteen blankets on top of me. I chuckled at the thought and fell sleep.

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
