《I will make you only mine》Chapter 22: The Chase

The city forest was a completely abandoned place which was used only by a few local mobs and goons to shelter themselves from police. I asked my men to spread in every direction. It was almost the evening time, it was about to get dark. I know she is scared from the darkness. Where is she? Does't she knew that the forest can be dangerous for her. I was quite tensed by now, but whatever it is, Anamika will not be spared now. It is because of her only that my girl is in such a condition. I was calling her madly. Searching for her, deeper and deeper inside the woods. But she was no where to be found. My men were carrying flashlights to see everything clearly in that dense forest. We were now deep inside the woods, barred from the network connections in our phones. The only source of contacting with each other was through our voice. Although we were carrying lights with us, but I know, even if she sees us, she will try to run away from us. So, after a lot of shouting and calling her, I ordered my men to start their silent searching because it might be possible that she is hiding herself from us easily due to our movements. But doesn't she fear while doing this? She is afraid of the dark, but is she more afraid from me that she is ready to accept nights in this forest rather than me? I was hurt, but I was still worried about her. I wanted to find her and hug her tightly. I wanted to find her and never let her go. We dimmed the lights, and started our walkie- talkies. Now we were completely hidden in the forest and no one will be able to observe us from far.

After a few more hours of searching, we finally found her broken slipper ahead of which was a big blood imprinted foot mark, means that she is hurt. And if she is hurt, she won't be able to run far away from here. I increased my pace and started following even the smallest of the blood clue. I ordered two of my men to stay and create a small camp as we cannot find our way out in the dark and resumed my now short lived search for my princess. Soon I reached near a small water lake. The lake was completely silent except a girl sitting at the corner, sobbing and trying to wrap a piece of cloth on her foot. Even in the dim moonlight, she was looking breathtaking with her red nose and teary eyes. All of my men surrounded the lake to prevent her from making another escape try. I approached her slowly, her sobs grew louder. She was in pain, she was sad. This made me angry and I didn't control myself and speak up.
Ayan: Why did you ran away from me sweetheart?
Myra: A..Ayaa..an. How is it possible? You can't be here. You must be married by now
Ayan: Hey Princess! Calm down. How can I be married if you are gracing this forest by roaming in it. And see, you have hurt yourself as well. It must be paining, mustn't it? You should be careful
Myra: No...No Ayan, please leave me. Please go back. Please. Please, she will kill my parents, and she...she will kill them, and they will take me. Please, I beg you... Go, go away from here.
I didn't understand what she was saying. But she started backing off and in order to avoid another chase, I signaled my men to show up. Seeing a lot of men surrounding her, she became more scared. She was having difficulty in standing due to her leg injury but still she was trying to escape.

"Please calm down princess. No one will hurt you. No one will hurt your parents. I assure you. Please calm down and come here, you will hurt yourself. She has been caught, she can't do anything now. I promise to keep your family safe. Please don't run, you are already wounded. Let me take care of yourself now."
"No...No you are lying, I don't trust you. Let me go, I want to leave, let me go, please let me go. I promise you that I'll never cross paths with you again in my life. But please leave me, what have I ever done to both of you that you are doing this to me." She was crying pathetically. Without any much delay I lunged towards her and took her in my arms. She was struggling, shaking and panting in my arms but I didn't let her go. She was crying, and my heart was crying with her. I immediately scooped her up in my arms bridal style and proceed towards our night camp as it was very dark and my princess too needs rest after a long and tiring day.
"Pl..Please put me down. I...I can walk. Besides, I have to go and save my family else they would kill them. I beg you, pleasssseee let me go." She was now crying on my chest, clutching my shirt tightly.
"SShhhhh Princess. No one will harm you and your family. Trust me. Now don't talk and let me take care of you."
The chase was over. I have found my girl, and I would never let her go now. She is only mine, and no one in this world can separate us.

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
