《Outlander》Chapter 28

Wearing black long sleeves and a pair of black jeans with a pair of black combat boots. Stepping inside, there was a soft jingle as my entrance disturbed the bell on the café door. The smell of coffee instantly hit my nose, calming my body.
"I hope I won't encounter a patient today." I mumbled, remembering the past events that happened when I entered a coffee shop. Standing behind a man, "One Americano." He said, "No problem, sir. Small, medium, or large?" The cashier – Lisa asked, "Large." He answered, "Okay, that'll be 28." Lisa said, "Hmm." The man hummed, noticing him patting himself, seemingly looking for something.
"Good morning, Vi." Lisa greeted, noticing me, giving her a smile, "Good morning." I replied, raising my eyebrow, as I discreetly read his mind.
Shit, I forgot my wallet.
"Damn." He mumbled, "Sorry." He said, looking at me, "You go first." He added, nodding my head, "Thank you." I said, smiling at him, "One latte, please." I said as I glanced at the man beside me, he was still patting himself, looking for his wallet.
"Lisa, I'll pay for him as well." I said, giving her enough coinage for his order, "Sure." Lisa replied and gave me a knowing smile and look, shaking my head and chuckling at her antics. "Thanks." The man said, "Relax, it happens to everyone. Enjoy your coffee." I replied.
"Thanks." He muttered as I chuckled and went to the nearby table, "I'm really sorry, this isn't like me." He added, sitting on the other table just beside mine, "Don't stress it, dude. It's okay." I answered. Sitting inside the coffee shop as I wait for someone to arrive. Minutes later my order arrived, personally delivered to me by Lisa.
"He's hot." Lisa whispered, "Then you go get him." I replied, smirking at her seeing her blush, Lisa immediately left and went back to her work. Shaking my head as I took a sip of my latte, exhaling a sigh, feeling someone openly stare at me.
God, she's beautiful.
I almost spit my drink, his thoughts were so loud. I can practically hear him without reading his thoughts. Hearing the bell on the café door jingle, I looked up, a woman entered. As she roamed her eyes around, I waited for her to see me – what can I say her reactions are cute.
As her eyes finally found me, her whole face brightened up, eyes almost disappeared forming a crescent-moon like shape, perfectly trimmed eyebrows, long natural eyelashes, pink lips stretched into a smile, and small dents on both of her cheeks.
Chuckling and shaking my head as I noticed a couple fighting, where the girl openly gawks at her. Heading towards me her natural black curly hair bouncing every time she took a step, her silk blouse tucked in a pair of black cropped trousers. Complementing her fair skin and accentuating her hourglass body. And completing her look with a pair of black pumps.

Sitting across from me, hearing her excited giggle. "Hello, my friend. I missed you." She greeted, "Everyone misses my gorgeous face." I countered, rolling her eyes playfully and a chuckle erupted from her. "Yeah, yeah. You're beautiful." She mumbled and clicked her tongue in disapproval.
"I missed you too, Sylina Astrid Rosa." I teased, clicking her tongue in disapproval, "I told you to call me Riri. My name is so mouthful to utter." She replied, grabbing my cup and sip some of my coffee. Wincing as the coffee touched her tastebuds, laughing at her reaction – she was never a fan of coffee.
"I never knew you were the type of person to spit." I said, hearing a cough from the nearby table, chuckling at his reaction, "Well, I always swallow." She replied as we smiled at each other hearing another cough from the nearby table.
"Well, you should be careful swallowing it. You know, it's thick and comes out when you reach a certain level of ecstasy. It is also slightly alkaline meaning it has a pH level of around 7.2 to 7.4." I said, "Oh, that's why it tastes like rust, sweet and bitter." She seconded.
"Hmm." I hummed, seeing a subtle nod from her to go on, smirking mischievously, I decided to play along, "It contains fructose, ascorbic acid, zinc, cholesterol, citric acid etc. It's safe to ingest whenever you want, however, you should still be careful cause some are allergic to it. Just make sure it's clean and safe." I added.
"And did you know eavesdropping and staring is rude?" I asked, looking at the man directly in his eyes, Riri laughed seeing him blush, he quickly stood up and left, raising my eyebrow as he went back to get his coffee. "Gosh, he was staring at you." She commented as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I still don't understand how you can drink that." She mumbled, grabbed a tissue and gently wiped her mouth, "Coffee is life." I replied as she shrugged her shoulders, "Not to me." She mumbled, "Anyway, here's what you asked for. Are you interested in him?" She asked as I took a folder from her.
Opening it, his form was there. I was confused because the timing is still early. But still smiled, seeing how he looks so innocent in his photo.
Peter Benjamin Parker
"Hello, Earth to Rivia." She said, snapping her fingers in front of me as I looked at her, "What if I am?" I taunted, slightly tilting my head to the side, raising her eyebrows at me, "Are you into younger boys, Vi?" She asked as I hummed.

Hearing her gasp, "You are." She stated and leaned forward, "Is he your soulmate?" She added as our eyes met, giving her a subtle nod, her smile widened as she leaned back. Nodding her head as her order arrived, "Makes sense." She mumbled and took a sip of her tea.
Riri and I share the same situation, having multiple soulmates. While I have ten, she has three which is lucky for her, she already met all of them.
"So, what's your plan now?" She asked, "Can I have this?" I asked, "Yeah, I personally made that copy to give that to you." She replied, "Oh, Ri. I'm touched, I feel like crying." I said and wiped my imaginary tears, "Silly." She commented as we laughed.
"So, how about shopping after?" She asked, giving me a wide grin, chuckling at her as her order arrived, we finished our drinks and accompanied her to shopping – I never really like shopping, I'm lazy.
☘
"Do you really need to buy that for me?" I asked, looking at the bunch of lingerie that she's holding, "Yes, of course, my dear friend. And you don't have to pay me. It's my treat." She replied, "Okay, sugar mommy." I answered as we laughed at each other.
We head towards the counter as she gives the black card to the cashier, "I'm so thankful to have you as my friend." I teased, hearing her chuckle as she paid for everything, didn't even let a single dime come out of my wallet.
Hours passed, bags on both our hands, sitting inside the ice cream shop, a man entered wearing a navy-blue long sleeve, a pair of jeans and a pair of white converse. "Lover boy is here." I commented, laughing, seeing the excited reaction of Riri – cute.
"Hey, babe." Chris greeted, kissing her cheeks, Riri giggled and moved aside, giving him space to sit down, "Where's Josh and Tim?" She asked, "Home. Waiting for us." He replied, grabbing the spoon from her and scooping an ice cream. Shaking my head as Chris fed her.
"Too much sweetness." I mumbled, "Oh, hey, Vi." Chris greeted, "So, now you notice there's someone else beside you two love birds." I replied, earning a laugh from both of them. As they continued ogling at each other, my phone rang, clicking the green button and answering it.
"What time will you come home?" Tony asked, "Miss me already?" I joked, hearing the familiar chuckle of Steve and Bruce in the background, "We actually do. So do us a favor and end our misery." Tony answered, shaking my head, imagining a smirk on his face.
"Okay." I replied, saying bye and ended the call, "I should go." I said, earning both their attention, Riri chuckled, "Miss them?" She asked, "I actually do." I answered, earning a smirk from her.
"How about we take you home?" Chris offered, shaking my head, "I can manage. Thanks for the offer." I replied as he nodded his head, "Okay, be careful." He said, "You too." I said, "Bye, sugar mommy. Till next time." I said as Riri giggled and waved her hand.
☘
"I'm home." I announced, "Shopping?" Nat asked, holding a bottle of water, "Not planned." I replied as she chuckled, "What did you buy?" She asked and helped me carry some bags.
Placing the bags on the couch, "Oh, I definitely want to see you wear this." She said, teasingly, waving the red lace lingerie, gasping as my eyes widened, "I forgot about those." I mumbled, "About what?" Clint asked, laughing looking at Nat.
"Guess what Via bought." Nat answered, smirking, "What did she buy?" Tony asked, Steve, Bruce, and Loki following behind him, "Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ." I muttered under my breath as they looked at me with a mischievous smirk.
"How about you wear it now, darling?" Loki asked, shaking my head, "My friend bought it for me." I answered, "It's a waste if you won't wear such a thing." Bruce said, my eyes widened looking at him - I wasn't expecting him to say that. Bruce shrugged his shoulders, earning a pat from Tony.
"Green guy is right. I recommend you to wear it tonight." Tony said, "I'll help you wear it." Clint suggested, "What's this?" Steve asked, earning our attention, the brown folder on his hands, "Oh, our soulmate." I answered as they immediately walked towards Steve.
"Cute." Nat said, "Hmm. A high school genius." Tony added, "Where did you get this?" Steve asked as they looked at me, "I have connections." I replied, "But you should definitely wear it tonight, darling." Loki whispered in my ear, softly brushing his fingers on my back sending shivers to my spine, a mischievous smile on his face as he joined the others.

"The best lime comes from a world destroyed. An apocolyptic world. That is the only place you can find sweet limes. Or, at least, limes as sweet as the one I love so very much." Evan said, upon being asked where to find sweet limes.

Agros de Mortis
Are things ever so crystal clear in life, those of us with experience know that it can be considered a blessing to have such a straight forward path in life. Sometimes things go right, sometimes something occurs that was simply never imagined. Sometimes life seems to flow so quickly but sometimes it just seems stuck, cursed to repeat itself. Cycles upon cycles we see around us, but perhaps in only a moment things change. Can this be stopped or do we even want it to be stopped? Are things always as evil as they seem, or are they so similar that we find it painful. Come visit this little spot and decide for yourself what you interpret this is... _________________________________________________ This fiction is a mix of many things and for simplicity sake is the story of one man's rise to power in a fashion fit be called a demon lord. Ever read all those novels where you get a here is this bad guy we called you here to go deal with by the power of our god so here is some magic and training go kill em. Here is the other side's view of their rise to power in a fashion that perhaps seems evil, perhaps not. Is our MC truly that evil or is he simply following what he feels like is best for him, who is to say that he is truly a blight aganist the gods for surely it is not so simple in life. This will have some elements of dungeon building but it takes mostly a back seat to things as a background thing, a weak to strong theme well yeah but it won't really be personal power since we are doing what is essentially nation building. Don't worry there will be no romance as a main theme, if you find any it is unintentional or simply a very minor element overall, hopefully won't be any of the social/relationship gender issues from last time for those that read my first ficiton since that really is not what I want the story to be about. Progress in story is a bit of a mix of fast and slow I felt overall for the story, time skips were short and things piled up quickly then calmed down before building up again. Not sure how I did with characterizing and writing some concepts but at least I wanted people to think a little. Some attempt to keep things realistic to a degree considering you know magic since I wanted a bit more depth to things. Come check out the story and decide for yourself how you feel about some things.
