《Outlander》Chapter 35

"You what?! Without me?" I asked and looked at them incredulously, apparently they attacked the Sokovia Base without me and I just knew it right now.
"When was it?" I asked as I tried to remember what happened these past few days, my eyes widened, "When Claude, Loki, and I went out." I mumbled, answering my own question.
"You're still not an official SHIELD Agent, sunshine." Clint said, "Right, I'm not. But at least tell me if you're going on a mission. I'm your soulmate." I countered.
"Is your wound okay?" I asked, Clint's eyes momentarily widened as I remembered that he was shot in the movie, "I'm okay now, sunshine." He replied, biting my lips to prevent my tears from falling.
"That's why you have to tell me. What if something happened to you? I can help you with my powers." I said, wiping the tear that escapes my eyes, "I don't want to lose any of you. I hate losing someone and I don't want to feel that again." I added.
Nat was about to approach me when I took a step back, "Excuse me." I said and teleported away from the tower.
☘
Letting my tears fall while walking barefooted in the hallway of the museum, lifting my head up and wiping my tear-soaked cheeks, manuscripts, stained glass and tapestries decorated the hall.
It was already midnight and I was all alone inside the closed museum distracting myself from my troubled mind. Exhaling a sigh as I continued to walk around, holding my heels. I arrived at the medieval inspired garden, sitting on a bench, placing the heels on my side as I looked up at the sky, stars beautifully decorated the night sky.
"Did I overreact?" I mumbled, closing my eyes as I listened to the wind rustling in the trees and leaves and the tinkling of running water from the fountain. Standing up, startled as a cape wrapped around my body, "Honey." Stephen said and slowly walked towards me.
"Steph." I replied, engulfing me in a hug, "How is it that you're still beautiful even when you're crying?" He asked, giggling at what I heard and shaking my head, "You look charming, love." He added, "And you look handsome as always, Mr. Magic." I replied.
Stephen chuckled and placed a kiss on my forehead as my hands run through his goatee, his hands enclosing my face and his thumb caressing my cheeks, "It's okay to cry and worry for someone you love." He muttered, nodding my head, our eyes met as his face slowly leaning in.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked, a smile formed in my lips as I hummed a yes to him, our lips touched and the kiss was soft, savoring each other's lips as if they're perfectly fit. Stephen kissed back passionately, his arms wrapping my waist and mine on his neck.

Breathless from the kiss, our forehead touching, Stephen gave me a quick peck on the lips, "Everyone was worried about you." He said, exhaling a sigh as I leaned my head to his chest, "I just need some time alone." I replied.
"What time is it?" I asked, "3 in the morning." He answered, "You're basically inside a closed establishment, darling." He added, earning a chuckle from me, "No one will know unless someone sees me." I replied, Stephen smiled and nodded his head.
"Right." He mumbled, giggling as I found him adorable. "Want to go home?" He asked, "Will you stay?" I asked, he nodded his head and smiled, "Yes." He answered, exhaling a sigh, "Yeah, let's go home. I don't want them to worry any longer." I stated.
Stephen opened a sling ring, the living room of the tower on the other side, carrying me effortlessly in his arms as he walked towards the portal. Furrowing my eyebrows as silence welcomed us.
"Where are they?" I asked, letting my eyes wander around the deserted room. Stephen looked at me and smiled, placed a kiss on my forehead as he began to walk towards my bedroom.
"I spelled them to sleep." Stephen simply replied, a chuckle escapes my lips as he continues while I lean my head on his chest.
As soon as we arrived, Stephen carefully let me down to freshen up. A smirk appeared as I invited him to join me which he accepted without hesitation. Laying on the bed, cuddling with Stephen, exhaling a sigh, Stephen looks at me as his hands caressing my hair.
"What's wrong, my love?" He asked, pulling me closer to him and tightened his hold.
"I'm just thinking about how I overreacted and just left." I replied, a shiver ran down my spine as Stephen moved his hands on my back, up and down.
"It's okay. It shows how much you care for them." Stephen said, "Go take some rest. I'll be here when you wake up." He added, nodding my head as I closed my eyes. Letting the darkness lull me to sleep.
Waking up, feeling a strong arm on my waist and breathing on the back of my neck. I instantly knew it was Stephen as I remembered his promise before I slept.
As I was about to move, a pillow rested on my arm, still not opening my eyes, I let my hand wander around the pillow. Letting it slowly crawl up towards feeling how flawless its texture is.
I didn't know pillows were this smooth.
My hands wander back and forth, enjoying the warmth it brings, how cuddly it was. As my hands continue to wander up, now feeling a hair-like texture.
Do pillows have hairs?
Letting my hand run through it repeatedly savoring the smooth silky hair of the pillow, pulling it even closer to me.

"Via..."
Hearing the sound of Peter's muffled voice my eyes snapped open as my eyes went down. Apparently, the pillow that I was hugging turns out to be Peter, seeing his flustered face, my eyes widened.
"I'm sorry, baby. I thought it was a pillow, did I make you uncomfortable with my touch?" I asked cautiously and slowly released my hold.
"N-no... Umm... I li-love it actually, p-please continue to hug me like that." He answered shyly.
Chuckling at how I saw his face got even more redder. I nodded my head as Stephen pulled us closer to him. Peter buried his face between my breasts, hiding. A gasp escaped my lips, feeling Stephen leaving a trail of kisses on my bare neck and shoulder.
"Sleep some more, love." He said huskily.
"How can I sleep when you're kissing me like that?" I replied, chuckling afterwards. Another gasp escapes me as Peter lifts his face, planting kisses on my collarbone.
"And here you said that you both wanted me to sleep more." I mumbled, Stephen chuckled while Peter mumbled a quick apology.
"Oh, don't be, I know you want to do more." I teased, Peter buried his face back on my chest, mumbling something inaudible.
The three of us continued to sleep, hugging and cuddling with each other as their warmth lulled me.
As the sun peeked through the curtains, my eyes slowly opened, furrowing my eyebrows confused as to why Peter and Stephen are no longer beside me. Turning around, notes were placed on my bedside table which I grabbed and read.
It was from Stephen saying there was an emergency at the Sanctum that he was needed to attend to and from Peter saying he went to school with a little drawing of a spider at the corner of the paper.
Smiling as I find my two soulmates thoughtful and adorable. I decided to get up, glancing at the clock as it was past our usual breakfast time. Taking my time in the shower and changing into some comfortable clothes.
Exhaling a sigh as I walked towards the kitchen, silence welcomed me as I prepared my breakfast.
"Where are they, Jarvis?" I asked, taking a bite as I waited for the AI to reply. Pausing as I remembered that Ultron did something to him, internally scolding myself. I quickly finished my meal and went to the lab where I assume where they are all gathered.
Quietly entering the lab, they were all busy looking through the physical files they have on Strucker. Leaning my shoulder at the doorway as I listen to them.
"What's this?" Thor asked, pointing to the scar on the back of Klaue's neck.
"A brand." I voiced out, earning all their attention. All of them stilled as I made no effort to meet their eyes while I approached Thor, glancing at the picture. Remembering what Bruce said in the movie.
"It's a word in an African dialect meaning thief. Wakanda. He plans to steal some of their trade goods." I continued, "Vibranium." I said, looking at Steve's shield.
"The strongest metal on Earth." Tony mumbled, nodding my head as I approached the computer putting his location.
Exhaling a sigh as I finally looked at them, "I'm sorry if I overreacted." I muttered, biting my lip, feeling myself crying again. Clint, being near me, gently grabs my arm as he engulfs me in an embrace.
As I repeatedly mumble a sorry, Clint continuously kisses my head and forehead, comforting me as Natasha walks towards us caressing my back.
"We're also sorry for not telling you." Tony said. Steve, Thor, and Bruce eventually joined in the hug, furrowing my eyebrows, "Where's Loki?" I asked, Steve wiped my cheeks.
"Father called him. He was fussing mad leaving you behind while you're still mad." Thor replied, "Don't worry about him, he'll come back soon." He added, smiling at me as I nodded my head, Thor placed a kiss on my forehead.
"I will go with you." I said, earning a chorus of contradiction from them, "I didn't ask for any of your permissions." I added with finality in my voice, raising my eyebrow at them as they took a step back away from me.
"I can help you. I can heal any injuries." I muttered, "Besides, I know how to fight and maybe kill someone." I added, biting my lips as their eyes widened hearing what I said.
"Did you kill someone?" Natasha asked, unbelievingly at me.
"Who taught you?" Steve asked, placing a hand on his hips.
"Of course I did, remember the Chitauri armies?" I replied, slightly tilting my head to the side.
"Did you kill a person?" Clint asked, Bruce looked at me confusingly waiting for my reply.
Exhaling a sigh as I remember the HYDRA Agent I killed, "Yes." I answered, hearing them gasps, "I have to. He was a HYDRA Agent and he was following me." I continued, "I'm a doctor. Years of studying anatomy, I know by heart the structure of the body." I added.
"I don't want you to be harmed, my queen." Thor said, placing his hand on my cheeks, giving him a grateful smile.
"I know. I also can't afford seeing any of you in pain." I said, Bruce snaking his arms on my waist, pulling me closer to him.
"Alright, but, please stay where any of us can see you." Tony said, Bruce tightens his hold as I nodded my head. Opening my arms, my soulmates smiled and engulfed me in an embrace.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
