《Outlander》Chapter 40

It was already over a month since Ultron happened, Peter decided to live with us with his guardians approval.
Holding a tray with food and drinks on it, "Can I?" A voice asked, smiling at her and nodding my head. Wanda carefully took the tray as we walked towards where everyone is currently at.
Rolling my eyes, seeing the chaos happening now, Clint, Loki, Peter, Claude, and Pietro played patintero, a game I introduced to them recently. Tony, Steve, and Thor engaged in their own world conversing with each other while Bruce and Nat sitting near the lake holding fishing rods, peacefully waiting for some fishes.
Wanda laughed as Tony, Steve, and Thor joined them. Team One consists of Loki, Clint, Steve, and Tony while Team Two consists of Pietro, Peter, Claude, and Thor.
As they begin playing, Team One playing offensive first, they must get to the other side and back without getting tagged by the defensive team which is Team Two where they must tag the offensive team and prevent them from reaching the other side.
Vision later on joins them and settles for being their referee. Sitting on the bench with Wanda beside me, "I really never get to say thank you for saving my brother." She started, turning to her, "It's okay. I don't want you to lose the only thing you have." I replied.
"I know how painful it is to lose someone." I added, images of my parents and my brother flashing on my mind. As silence engulfed us, Vision offered Wanda to join the game, the latter accepting it with Wanda on Team One and Vision on Team Two.
Laughter surrounds the green space as I watch them play to their hearts content, "Darling." A smile appeared on my lips hearing Stephen's voice, "Glad you can make it." I said, earning a kiss on my temple as he sat down beside me.
I really wish Bucky was here with us.
Pietro turned his head towards my direction, a wide smile on his face as he waved at me. Waving back at him as he continued playing with them.
"Why don't you join them?" Stephen asked, a chuckle escaping my lips, "My body is still sore from what we did last night." I simply replied, Stephen laughed as he pulled me closer to him, leaning my head to his shoulder.
Bruce and Nat join us, sitting and watching them together.
"You didn't see that coming?" Pietro teased, "No use of powers." Clint complains, "Sorry old man, can't help it." Pietro answered.
Laughing hearing the word again, Clint looked at me and raised his eyebrows, "Looks like someone wants to repeat what happened last night." Clint said, my eyes widened feeling my face heat up.
My soulmates laughed at me as I covered my face with my hands while the twins groaned, Pietro faked a vomit and Wanda rolled her eyes. Vision covers Claude's ears and shakes his head.

As we decided to have our dinner outside, Wanda, Nat, and I decided to cook while the boys decided to set everything outside. Dinner went by fast and we decided to end each of our days with smiles and laughter.
Taking my time in the shower, my mind went to my dream as the hot water ran all over my body.
Why did I dream of Thanos?
Does he know me?
What does he mean that he'll come to visit soon.
My thoughts ran wild as I turned off the shower, my eyes widened and massaged my temples when I forgot to bring my clothes with me, my towel is also outside on the bed.
Mentally scolding myself, my body literally shivered from the lack of clothing. Exhaling a sigh as I head out back to my room.
Shrugging my shoulders, "It's not my first time being naked." I mumbled and grabbed a nearby towel. Standing in front of the mirror as I dry my hair with a towel. My eyes widened seeing the reflection of my three soulmates inside my room.
"Ah, I will never get tired of seeing your magnificent body, my love." Loki said, grinning at me mischievously.
"Seeing our marks all over your body always turns me on." Tony commented, smirking at me as his eyes traveled my body, his thumb lightly touching his lips.
"What a delicious way to end the day, ma'am." Steve muttered, leaning his back near the door and openly gawking at my body.
"Call our other soulmates. We have some urgent business to do." Tony stated, the AI immediately obliged. I was about to grab my clothes when Loki burned it, gasping as I looked at him.
"No need to put clothes on when we'll just tear it." Loki said, Tony and Steve chuckled as I blink rapidly. Loki teleported beside me as his hands started resting on the back of my neck. Steve sat beside Tony as they watched Loki's hands roam all over my body.
Gasping, Loki leaned down, placing wet kisses on my bare neck. A moan instantly escapes my lips feeling his warm hands. Closing my eyes as I leaned my head back, giving him more access to my neck. His hold tightened, hearing some clothes tear, my eyes snapped open as Steve tore Tony's clothes which turned me on.
The door opened as my soulmates entered, "That's not fair. You should've started it with us." Clint whined, Natasha laughed as Peter and Bruce blushed seeing us.
"The night is still young, we sure can keep up with them and maybe do more." Stephen said, taking his clothes off, "We should join them now." He added as he gently placed a kiss on Peter and Bruce.
As my room filled with our moans and groans. Kissing, showing our affection in our own way, and making love with each other. My room was once again engulfed with passionate love.

☘
A year has passed and it was Claude's birthday and we decided to surprise him. We planned to make him believe that we forgot what day was supposed to be and it's breaking my heart seeing how sad he is sitting on the corner with a cute pout on his face.
Approaching him with his sketchbook on his lap, "Claude." I called, biting my lips as he ignored me and continued to sketch.
"Hey, champ. What's wrong?" I asked, Claude looked at me and sighed, focusing back on his sketchbook, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked again, Claude shook his head.
"Then why are you sad?" I inquired, Claude looked at me as our eyes met, "Do you know what today is?" He asked, slightly tilting my head to the side.
"Of course." I replied, his eyes sparkled at my reply and a smile appeared on his lips, "Today is Monday, 26th of May." I added, his smile fell and all excitement on his face completely vanished.
Claude sighs as I furrow my eyebrows, "Why?" I asked, shaking his head, "No one remembers." He mumbled, but enough for me to hear.
I want to hug him and say sorry. But, we must stay focused and remember the plan.
Wanda appeared as our eyes met, turning towards Claude. She sat on his left, "What's the matter, Claude?" She asked, softly patting his head.
"Nothing." Claude simply replied, Wanda and I looked at each other, both of us stifling our smiles.
Night came, Claude still feeling dejected, his posture was slouched and he was not talking to any of us all day.
Just wait a little longer, champ.
Loki teleported beside me, startled as I jumped back a little. Loki laughs as he places his hand on my waist, pulling me closer to him as he whispers something to me.
"Everyone is ready, my love." He whispered, instantly sending shivers all over my body feeling his hot breath on my ears. Loki proceeds to tease me by biting my ears, a moan escapes my lips as his hold tightens.
"How is it that everything that escapes your luscious lips tempts me." He added, proceeding to nibble and place a kiss on my cheeks and jaw.
"We have to surprise Claude, we can continue this later." I replied, closing my eyes as he chuckled, "That's a promise then. Let's go make that little midget happy." He said, nodding my head as he intertwined our hands.
Peter went to retrieve Claude as we stood outside waiting for him. Holding the cake, my smile widened as Claude looked at us with aghast, his eyes wide open as saucers and slowly started to water with tears.
"I thought no one remembers my birthday." Claude said, his lips trembling and his little hands wiping his cheeks.
Tony approached him and carried him in his arms, a smile on his lips as the both of them walked towards me.
"We may be old but we're not forgetful." Tony said, chuckling at what he said.
"I'm sorry for making you sad. I will always remember every little thing about you, Claude." I said, our eyes met, Steve gently took the cake from me as Claude hugged me tightly.
"Thank you so much. You're the best person that I met, Via." He said, warmth instantly settled in my heart hearing him say those words at me. Hugging him back, "Thank you for letting me in your life, Claude." I replied.
Claude blew the candles with puffy eyes, everyone gave him presents and of course Tony, Pietro, Clint, and Thor boastfully presented theirs and soon argued which of them gave Claude the best gift.
We also invited Gabrielle, James, Ian, and Fergus who joined my soulmates on who gave the bestest present. Shaking my head and laughing as I continue to listen and watch them.
"Ha! Do you know how much my gift is?" Tony asked.
"No one asked. Our topic is who gave Claude the best present." Ian countered.
"Well, I'm more knowledgeable when it comes to kids." Fergus said.
"Shut up, you run the moment you see one." James retorted, earning a smack from Fergus.
"Mine comes from Asgard." Thor said, his voice booming with pride.
"Yeah, it looks fake to me." Clint replied, "Besides, I have more knowledge than all of you." He added,
"Eh, you can't even babysit him for an hour." Pietro said, shrugging his shoulders.
"No one beats my gift." Gabrielle stated, flipping his imaginary long hair looking all smug while Claude looked at them like they're all insane.
Laughing as I excuse myself to grab more drinks and snacks, my steps halted, noticing a silhouette standing inside the kitchen.
As my eyes wander around to look for a weapon, "There's no need for such hostility." He said.
"And who are you?" I asked, "I'll answer that when we get out of this place." He answered.
Walking towards me, "Don't come near me." I said, his steps stopped, "My soulmates are outside." I added, panicking as I can't use my teleportation magic.
"Even if you scream, they can't hear you." He said, his deep voice laughing, "We're running out of time, mi vida. We have to go." He added, I was about to scream when I felt something prick my neck, darkness instantly consumed me.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Et Non Lucem
A lonely fortress, a (slightly) deranged assassin, secrets, intrigue, magic and war. What could possible go wrong? If you've ever wondered what would happen if somebody attempted to blend a realistic medieval world with fantasy, then this is for you. If you've ever wondered what happens when you stick some (extremely) flawed humans into positions of power and try making them save the world, then this story is for you. Or if you're simply bored and can't seem to decide on a new story to read, then this story is for you! This is my first ever attempt at writing a story after years and years of reading, so any and all constrictive criticism is appreciated!

Agros de Mortis
Are things ever so crystal clear in life, those of us with experience know that it can be considered a blessing to have such a straight forward path in life. Sometimes things go right, sometimes something occurs that was simply never imagined. Sometimes life seems to flow so quickly but sometimes it just seems stuck, cursed to repeat itself. Cycles upon cycles we see around us, but perhaps in only a moment things change. Can this be stopped or do we even want it to be stopped? Are things always as evil as they seem, or are they so similar that we find it painful. Come visit this little spot and decide for yourself what you interpret this is... _________________________________________________ This fiction is a mix of many things and for simplicity sake is the story of one man's rise to power in a fashion fit be called a demon lord. Ever read all those novels where you get a here is this bad guy we called you here to go deal with by the power of our god so here is some magic and training go kill em. Here is the other side's view of their rise to power in a fashion that perhaps seems evil, perhaps not. Is our MC truly that evil or is he simply following what he feels like is best for him, who is to say that he is truly a blight aganist the gods for surely it is not so simple in life. This will have some elements of dungeon building but it takes mostly a back seat to things as a background thing, a weak to strong theme well yeah but it won't really be personal power since we are doing what is essentially nation building. Don't worry there will be no romance as a main theme, if you find any it is unintentional or simply a very minor element overall, hopefully won't be any of the social/relationship gender issues from last time for those that read my first ficiton since that really is not what I want the story to be about. Progress in story is a bit of a mix of fast and slow I felt overall for the story, time skips were short and things piled up quickly then calmed down before building up again. Not sure how I did with characterizing and writing some concepts but at least I wanted people to think a little. Some attempt to keep things realistic to a degree considering you know magic since I wanted a bit more depth to things. Come check out the story and decide for yourself how you feel about some things.
