Sometimes, I lie in bed and wonder which one of y'all am I gonna have to bail out of jail.
Today is Friday, the week's gone by without looking back and I was currently trying to help Val defeat another opponent in Mortal Kombat, so far we've been doing good, looking over the fact that we were laughing too hard to concentrate on our attacks.
Every Friday, or any day of the week actually, we meet up again and begin to spill all details that have happened in our week when we're not around each other.
So far everyone's had pretty much a boring life which isn't really surprising, when you're not with your friends then your whole life is suddenly boring and there's zero things going on.
But when you're with your best friend, literally there's like a bunch of physical fights, arguments and then twenty videos of the fights and arguments.
"God whoever's on the other side of the screen, I hope you stub your big toe on a chair leg."
Val had been getting frustrated with the video game already but what can you do? I just sit back and observe, watching her thumbs move swiftly, going from pressing the buttons to moving the nozzles.
Occasionally, Angie would throw in some jokes to ease the tension that Val was causing all because she was starting to get aggravated and even aggressive.
"Yes! Fall in a ditch, Thames_Times!"
Val had finally won the game and throw the controller on the couch as she got up to do a victory dance, I laughed as she bragged about finally winning against a worthy opponent.
After she had finished her dance, a notification flashed on her Xbox and it had shown that the Thames dude had requested to friend her on both game and to be Xbox friends.
"Don't accept it, I've seen movies where if you accept any type of friend request, you're Dead."

Kyla said as she got up from the couch quickly, I looked at her and shook my head before telling her that it was just a movie and it has nothing to do with real life situations although that just taught me to stop dming celebrities and accepting follower requests from strangers.
Angie totally ignored Kyla's words and told Val to accept it, she thought that it might be a super cute girl that also knows how to play the video game.
"I'm accepting it, whoever this person is, they're good and I like good."
Val stated as she accepted the friend request, right off the bat there was a new message sent from the Thames player which sparked a conversation with Val and lit a small flame inside of her.
It wasn't anything mean but instead, it opened up to her rambling on about how she loves the game and actually is surprised at how good the person was as well.
"Ask for his age, creeps will turn anything to a dating site."
Marcy said, I looked at her and agreed knowing that literally any app could be used as a dating app thanks to lonely adults that don't know how to work actually dating apps.
So that's what Val did, turns out he was about to be fifteen in July, but then again we couldn't really believe that he was the age he said he was so we had to ask him the year.
"This kid's annoyingly nice, makes me wanna come through the screen and knock his teeth down his throat."
Val said as she rolled her eyes, she was never used to affection if it wasn't from her best friends, even then she would be awkward with us and just stand there not knowing what to say or do.
Don't get her wrong, she grew up with two loving parents except, if you have ever seen the Willoughbys on Netflix, then you'll understand.

Val's parents had love but only for themselves, occasionally acknowledging their offsprings before returning the attention to one another, so having friends who were born and raised with love, is new to her.
I pinched her arm and shook my head before looking at Marcy, she just chewed on her bottom lip.
"I don't like this, he could be a little sketchy."
Marcy said as she tried to grab the controller to unfriend and block the boy but Val got up quickly and walked around the couch, shaking her head.
"If he's an actual creep, I'm sure someone could find his IP address for me and then it's game over for him."
Marcy shook her head as if she was a disappointed mom, I fought back the urge to laugh.
Sometimes, I lie in bed and wonder which one of y'all am I gonna have to bail out of jail.
Marcy walked out of living room and walked to the kitchen, I sighed and walked to the kitchen, Marcy's always been on edge whenever she's with us because well, we're a tiny bit reckless.
"If it makes you feel better, I landed my skateboard trick two weeks ago."
I said trying to lighten the mood as I walked to the fridge to grab two cokes, I opened both cans and handed one to her as she looked at me.
"You landed on your face and nearly broke your wrist, how is that supposed to make me feel any type of better?!"
Oh right, I never landed that trick, I was trying to do a cartwheel onto a skateboard but I cartwheeled and the skateboard moved.
I had a nosebleed and went to the emergency room where they told me I had almost broke my wrist but luckily don't sprain it either, I got my skateboard taken away by Marcy.
"Well, it makes me feel better knowing that the pretty nurse called a princess and handed me a lollipop. Bless her soul."
Marcy laughed and grabbed my hand, it's so easy making her feel better whenever she's stressing out.
Although there wasn't much to stress out about, it was some random who was good at a game and wanted to be friends with Val, besides Val isn't that easy to kidnap.
"His name is Mason, so far he's the definition of sugar, zero spice but everything nice."
Val informed us, soon she got up and turned the game off just so she could talk to us.
Everyone turned their attention to me as if they had just remembered something that they wanted to know or tell me and were dying for the information.
"What?"
I asked as I looked at everyone.
"The date with Miguel, how was it?"
Val asked as she smiled at me, I looked at all of them and shook my head before correcting them and telling them it was a hang out.
Angie sat down next to me and wiggled her eyebrows, I shuddered and told them nothing really happened before I shared what went down at the hang out.
"Man, y'all are boring. I thought you would've pulled some type of move and worked through the love game."
Val told me as she walked to the kitchen to grab some chips, Angie smiled and gave me a side hug before walking to Kyla.
"We just met, so automatically, we are just friends."
I retorted before getting up from the couch and walking to the bathroom, followed by the noises of the girls made.

Cosmic Plague
In this world, everyone is cursed with a single fate: Become the most powerful. But those who do become powerful, they hate it. Power is misery and death is the solace. လလလ Nazar, a weapon of mass destruction created by the ancient God of Destruction revolted against his creator a long time ago. While he did defeat his creator, the power he was given is still within him. He is cursed with infinite power, standing at the top of the celestial hierarchy. He has more power and wealth than he needs. But even then, he craves one thing; death. He wants to die. Power is misery and death is the solace, but he cannot achieve his only goal. He cannot die. Perhaps that will change when one day, an ancient cosmic Goddess rises from her grave? Perhaps she will finally kill him? Or will she fall short before his awesome yet terrible power? Only time will tell. This is a high cosmic story about the hypocritical life of the protagonist and how it affects everyone (and everything) around him. Naturally, it features very overpowered characters with a lot of high stakes battles roaming across the cosmos. Warning: Swearing, some suggestive sexual gestures/words, gore. Feedback is highly welcomed. (The story was originally named, God's Return, but I wanted to change it.)

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Inspired heavily by The Wandering Inn and Beware of the Chicken, as well as cultivation novels in general, this story hopes to take a Westernish approach to the standard Cultivation approach, being more subtle and changing how it approaches the standard tropes of the genre, without abandoning them entirely.
