if you look at it from this side
the sun sits atop the ashoka tree like a crown.
a naughty breeze blows my erect hair
into my own eyes, and i think how symbolic—
i let something grow on my head
and it ends up blinding me.
a pregnant monkey walks by the gutters
and i tell my friend— see, i told you to use protection.
another monkey makes faces at us
from the branch above. when it jumps
onto the stonebench we bravehearts
scatter, and wait for it to finish its excavation
for fresh soft drink cartons
in dry waste wet waste dustbins.
deer scamper past the classrooms
as aloof to the lectures as the students are.
an occasional not-so-occasional whirring
of helicopters and planes from the airforce station nearby
pauses the professors and rouses the confessors.
if you look at it from this side
the ashoka tree is flipping off the faint moon—
saying fuck you to the wide bright sky.

"'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. Edwin walks away, and someone standing in the corner of my vision makes me turn in my seat. A tall, muscular man is standing there, his arms crossed, staring at me. He's hoping to go pro, although I'm not totally sure what the process is surrounding that, since I don't retain much of the information from the articles that I read about him. I know that he's also a junior, and that his girlfriend is hot as fuck. I've seen them together on campus. They're hard to miss because they are easily one of the most attractive couples that I've ever seen. I'm convinced that I must be hallucinating, because he makes eye contact and walks towards me. 'That was awkward.'"~~~Junior year is starting off chaotic for Mackenzie Brooks as she steps into her role as the editor-in-chief of the college's newspaper. She's smart, focused on school, the paper, and her TA responsibilities. Junior year should be starting off easy for Dane Sawyer. He's the star pitcher of the baseball team; attractive, athletic, desirable, with a hot girlfriend. Unfortunately, he's also failing computer science which is the one thing he sees that is in the way of his pro career. Different in more ways that one, when the two run into each other in the library, it's an immediate disaster. But when Dane convinces Mackenzie to be his tutor, both of their lives begin to change.

This is a strange idea I had after watching Jurassic World and then watching Monster Musume no Iru Nichijo (Everyday Life with Monster Girls). I suddenly stopped and thought to myself what if I could combine the two concepts? So...this is the result. As the interspecies exchange program goes international, the United States is brought into the fold. In an attempt to see if the United States military could incorporate extraspecies individuals into their military for incidents or cases dealing with extraspecies crimes or terror activities, the president signed off on an experimental program called "The Raptor Initiative." Four lizard men females of the raptor variety are brought to America and given special ops. training to be the ultimate killing machines. They are left under a handler named Lt. Owen Grady who named all four of them. Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. However, as the girls are preparing for their first mission, a more sinister force is at work behind the scenes with secret plans for these girls. Can Owen give these girls a proper life in the States, and let them live as the young ladies he sees them as? Or will their prehistoric past influence their future?

Each doorway has something new to be discovered, may it be a doorway to a dark age world or possibly a magical world with magic, Earth can only guess what's on the other side of every Gate. Each country has their own problems and the Gates just add to it, will Earth’s countries work together or fight for control over the Gates that lead to the new worlds. Join Rex Lopiz who has gained Necromancy and the power of Making all sorts of robotic creations, Rex must first start from nothing such these are new powers, he cannot make large undead armies or make advanced robots without starting from the basics. See how other people are dealing with the Gates, the main character is Rex Lopiz but there are times where you see what other people or creatures are doing in order to survive and live their daily lives and what they do. Not everyone is as lucky as Rex but they still try to survive even with Gates appearing. Follow how other people deal with situations as well as follow Rex through his journey. Authors Note This is a side project as well as my first time trying to write a book. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to give me pointers. Some things may be spelt wrong. Quite a few and far from the friendliest of Morgan's 'old associates' from Validar had made their way to Earth ahead of him, and they all have been eagerly awaiting the Chosen One's return for one reason or another. The hero's homecoming will not quite be the wholesome event he was hoping for.
