TW: Pills (sleeping pills).
"You know, I was going to go easy on you but now, I'm not so sure."
George POV
"Ye-s." I heard from the voice, just as weak and strained as last time.
As I got closer, I could tell that the voice was coming from behind the dumpster on the left wall of the alley.
It was still quite a ways a way from me but I remained walking slow in order to not startle whoever may be behind the dumpster.
"W-what's your name?" I heard from the voice.
Huh? I haven't even seen this person and they're asking for my name?
I sucked in a breath of the warm, humid, Florida air before responding."George?" I answered unsure of why I was answering. I continued to walk towards the voice.
Just as I rounded the corner the unknown person jumped out, spun me around and pinned me front first against the wall opposite of where this person was originally sitting. It all happened in a blur, I only caught a glimpse of a porcelain white mask with some sort of design on it and a lime green shirt or hoodie before I found myself pinned against the wall. The person had pressed a large amount of their body weight against my back and had my wrists held behind my back.
The left side of my face pressed against the wall harshly and it didn't take long for the shock to wear off enough for me to feel the pain of the small cut that was made horizontally beneath my eye and on my cheek.
"Make a sound and I'll kill you." I heard in a deep, gruff voice from behind me. A moment later I felt something thin and cold be pressed underneath my chin. It wouldn't take a genius to guess that it was some sort of blade.
I felt blood slowly trickle down my cheek from my open cut which now only stung.
As the shock wore off more and more my brain began to comprehend the situation.
I'm going to die...
In a burst of adrenaline I brought up my leg and blindly kicked where the sun don't shine. At least that's where I was aiming for.
The man hurled over in pain and his grip on me released just enough for me to wiggle away from him.
Dang, I didn't expect that to actually work.
I began sprinting out of the alley, the only thing on my mind being getting the hell out of here and how grateful I am that I evaded what that situation would have likely led to. So much to the point where I failed to hear the footsteps coming up behind me.

Just as I was about to make it out of the alleyway I felt a hand roughly grab my wrist and yank me backwards.
NO.
The hand that yanked me back used so much force that I managed stumble backwards a good 5 feet and fall backwards.
I felt my back make contact with the hard, concrete floor of the alley way. I squeezed my eyes shut in pain as a wave a pain found its way throughout my back, followed by a pained groan escaping my lips.
A few seconds later I found it in myself to open my eyes, only to see the man hovering above me with a knife pressed against my throat.
Now that I could see him properly I could observe him a bit. He wore a circular white mask and the design on it that I had seen earlier, turned out to be a wide black smiley face. He wore a lime green hoodie with the same smile on the front of it. He had his hood up as well, so I couldn't make out a single facial feature of his.
He leaned forward pressing the knife further onto my neck, but not enough to break the skin. "You know, I was going to go easy on you but now, I'm not so sure." His deep voice sent shivers down my spine.
"Listen to me very closely, George, you're going to walk with me into the van without a fight. You're going to stay completely quiet and if you try to run or disobey me in any way, I'll slice your throat before you can even think to beg for forgiveness. Understand?" He asked and instructed. I slowly nodded my head as tears began to run down my face and my breathing turned shaky.
He stood up and grabbed my arm yanking me up with him.
The masked man swiftly moved behind my and placed the blade back on my neck.
"Walk." He instructed harshly. I complied and he began to lead me out of the alleyway. Once we made it out of the alleyway my eyes began to frantically search for a person, a car- anything that might help me. But I found nothing.
A few parking places in front of the alleyway, he led me to a white van that I hadn't seen before.
I'm being kidnapped right now... And there's not a single thing I can do about it without this psychopath slitting my throat. The harsh reality hit me.

The stranger opened the door on the passenger side and shoved me inside towards the back.
I stumbled inside as the man climbed in after me. The floor of the van was dirty and the walls were bare.
On the floor there was nothing but a few rolls of duct tape and a box about the size of basic chapter book, about 3 inches tall. The doors at the back of the van were chained shut with a lock that I could only assume this man had the key to.
After I finished my observation I was shoved down to sit on the floor so that I was leaning against the passenger side of the car about a foot away from the seats.
I started to shake as I began to panic more and more because of the situation and tears continued fall down my face as I stayed silent in fear.
My eyes trail to the mans hands as he grabbed a roll of duct tape. "Your hands." He instructed plainly. I shakily held out my hands in front of me and he began tightly wrapping the duct tape around them so they were bound together in front of me. Once he felt satisfied with the many layers of duct tape he set the roll aside and began digging through the pocket of my hoodie. He pulled out my wallet, house key, my phone and my ear buds. He then searched the pockets of my pants and once he finished that he went over to the small box I saw earlier and opened it.
Before I had the chance to see what was in it he retrieved a small orange pill bottle and closed the box.
He took out two, small, milky white pills.
Oh fuck no.
"Open." He commanded as he held them up to my mouth. I vigorously shook my head no, terrified of what those pills might be. Tears continued to stream down my face as I shook more.
There is no way in hell this man is going to get those unknown pills down my throat without a fight.
The man sighed and brought the pills away from my face. "They're just sleeping pills, relax. Just take them before I have to force you to." I calmed down slightly at the beginning of his statement, but when he mentioned forcing pills down my throat any trace of being calm was immediately washed away.
After debating for a moment I hesitantly parted my lips without saying a word. The stranger swiftly tilted my chin up a small amount and dropped the two pills into my mouth. He then offered me a bottle of water but I shook my head no. I was good at swallowing pills, plus, these were small ones.
I swallowed the pills and immediately regretted it after.
What if they weren't really sleeping pills? What if I'm allergic? Why does he want me to be asleep anyways?
More questions than I can handle continue to speed through my brain.
"Alright, just go to sleep, alright." He said. As if I really have much of an option if these really were sleeping pills. I just nodded my head, still terrified to speak up, not even knowing if I should.
I felt a slight bit of drowsiness take over me and the man in front of me put the pill bottle back in the box and stood up, now towering over my place on the floor. He turned towards the drivers seat and started walking towards it.
"Wh-who a-are you?" I manage to stutter out without thinking. He stops in his tracks and turns his head towards me. I gulp at my stupidity, I probably should have just kept quiet like all of my instincts were telling me.
Though I couldn't see the man's face, it seemed as though he was just as surprised as I was of my sudden courage to speak.
In the time it took for him to answer, my tiredness nearly doubled but I forced myself to stay awake to hear his response. "Call me... Dream." He answered, before continuing into the driver's seat of the vehicle.
The moment that my tired mind processed this, my eyes widened in shock.
This man is Florida's most well known and dangerous serial killers and kidnapper. The only reason we know who he is, is because he's left cops small notes on or near his victim's bodies.
Well one thing is for sure...
I am absolutely fucked.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
