《The Arrangement》59

"Jeon Jungkook! Kim Taehyung!"
Another stream of steady knocking filled the previously silent hallway.
"You two better open up or -"
"Or what, Min Yoongi?" A new voice barked.
Yoongi, whose fist dropped from the door, glared at the newcomer. "Stay out of this, Jimin."
Jimin quickly approached, his eyebrows knit together. "You're acting ridiculous. Causing a scene in the middle of a hotel hallway at two in the morning? You're better than that."
"I just want to talk to them, that's all," Yoongi defended, turning back to the door. "I just want to talk!" He voiced louder, starting to knock again.
"You can talk when the sun is up," Jimin tried reasoning with the elder, grabbing his wrist. "Let them be for tonight."
The producer spun to face him. "Did you have any idea Taehyung planned on coming here?"
The younger rolled his eyes. "No, and -"
"I know someone who helped facilitate this," a booming voice sounded from down the hall.
Namjoon was storming up to Yoongi and Jimin, Jin trailing not far behind.
Yoongi's gaze locked on Jin. "You did this?"
"If you mean helped my brother follow his heart, yes. Yes, I did," Jin responded firmly, not backing down from the hostility. "And honestly, I don't get why either of you are so upset. Did you even watch that live?"
Namjoon threw his hands in the air. "That's not the point! Taehyung and Jungkook both went against the company's orders. They could get fired because of this."
"At this point, it doesn't seem either cares if they're fired or not," Jimin added, a death grip still around Yoongi's wrist. "Jungkook understood the consequences when he opened up tonight."
"And Taehyung knew what would happen when he flew here," Jin piped up, looking between Namjoon and Yoongi.

The younger producer scowled. "That doesn't change -"
A door opened a few yards down and Hoseok poked his head out. "All of you in here, now."
Jin and Jimin went to the choreographer's room without question, leaving the two grumbling producers in front of Jungkook's door.
"You two really do not want to make me angrier with you than I already am," Hoseok warned, planting his hands on his hips.
Namjoon and Yoongi begrudgingly walked into Hoseok's room, slamming the door closed behind them.
Once the five boys were crowded in the room, Hoseok rounded on the producers. "I was going to call security to report a disturbance before I recognized your voices."
"Still should have," Jimin mumbled, earning a dark look from Yoongi.
Hoseok ignored him. "Seriously, what did you hope to accomplish? To scream at them? To tell them how they just ruined their careers? What?"
Namjoon and Yoongi looked sheepishly at him before bowing their heads in regret.
"Those two boys made a conscious decision to do what they did because they love each other, for fuck's sake. They knew the risks and they decided to make those choices regardless. Didn't you see how happy they looked?" Hoseok waited for an answer, refusing to back down.
Namjoon sighed. "Of course we did. I just don't want to see them lose everything . . . I'm afraid for them."
Yoongi nodded. "We could have helped."
Jimin scoffed in disagreement. "There's nothing either of you could have done. You tried to speak to the company on their behalf and they shot you down. So Tae and Kook had two options: live a lie or tell the truth."
Namjoon sat on the bed, burrowing his head in his hands. "I know our anger was misdirected. This is all Big Hit's fault and I'm just so angry for how everything's been handled."

Jin joined him, securing an arm around his shoulder. "We all are, Joonie. Everyone who knows those two boys understands this is crap."
Yoongi leaned against a desk. "You know Jungkook's manager is probably on his way down now. There's no way anyone is going to let this slide."
Hoseok pursed his lips. "I'll get him to wait until the morning."
The choreographer raced from the room, leaving the remaining boys to stare at one another.
Finally, Namjoon spoke up again. "We need to figure out what to do. I want to take some sort of action before Big Hit does."
"You don't think they'd press charges for breaking their contracts, do you?" Jin questioned solemnly. "It's a legal matter after all."
Jimin's eyes widened as he joined Yoongi's side. "Would the company do that?"
Yoongi gnawed on his lip before answering. "If they were pissed enough, yeah."
"Shit," Jimin breathed, pressing his side against the producer's in a gesture of comfort.
Everyone sat in silence for a while, separately thinking over the events of the evening. Hoseok returned a few minutes later, having successfully stalled Jungkook's manager by saying Namjoon and Yoongi were disciplining the boys effectively now. The manager huffed, promising there'd be hell to pay in the morning, but decided bed was more important than joining a screaming match.
The choreographer settled into an armchair, still trying to process everything he learned. Watching the live was the first time he heard the whole story. Regardless, one thing was evident to him: Jungkook and Taehyung would do anything for each other. That type of committment spoke volumes to Hoseok and he'd do anything to help them protect their relationship.
Namjoon and Yoongi were both trying to think of loopholes but knew there were none. After years of working with Big Hit, they were familiar with how solid the company's contracts were. In the past, people who broke the terms were immediately let go and on some cases brought to court. Neither producer wanted to see that outcome for Jungkook and Taehyung.
Jimin's mind was wracked with concern for his friends. He wanted them to be happy no matter what and felt sick when thinking about potential backlash.
Jin, on the other hand, was ready to go to war for his brother and Jungkook. He'd march up to the Big Hit executives and tear them to shreds if it meant protecting his family. Taehyung made so much progress since reuniting with Jungkook and Jin would not let anything ruin that.
But the group of five was having difficulties coming up with a viable solution. There were limited options that would appease all parties and no one wanted to make things worse for Jungkook and Taehyung. They both had been through enough pain and suffering.
After a long stretch of silence, Namjoon suddenly lit up. "When do the recordings from the lives typically become available?"
Yoongi pursed his lips. "Depends. Long ones like theirs usually take some time to process. At least a few hours. And that's if Big Hit decides not to scrap it."
"I need the recording now, Yoongi. I'm going to need you to set up your equipment, too."
Jin turned to him. "What are you thinking?"
Namjoon nodded to himself, deep in thought and barely registering the elder's question. He mumbled a few things incoherently under his breath, his foot tapping wildly on the floor.
"Joon!" Hoseok snapped.
The producer smiled. "I have an idea."

Ancient Mana Dungeon Core.
Yes the tags are necessary, they will make sense eventually too. Art is not mine, found it on pintrest btw the title on the thing apparently has no name, or at least no title that you can search, at least, but i found this: ‘ArtStation - [UE4] Lost Temple Ruins Jonas Axelsson’ (if your curious I was searching ancient temple game art when i found it don’t bother clicking the link on the thing that says facebook, it does not work) (i will not lie this is kinda my first publication so go easy on me). A while ago I fell in love with the Dungeon Core stories and decided: ‘Heck, why not make my own spin on things!’ and so i started brainstorming what to do and i kinda just found the idea for the story during it. This is the story of a guy named Michael Alex (not a typo that is the name I will be using for him) he was an avid fiction writer and reader who was just sitting on his couch playing a puzzle game on his phone called: Ruins of Drailmor Keep (a three in one deal: tower defence, Puzzle (mazes generally), and world building (namely building on the ashes of fallen empires and regulating certain things while the waves of enemies keeps coming back to burn it down and ruin it just like the curse would while ocasionally sending out your own monsters to get rare rescources)) when he gets an alert and well one thing leads to another and he died to a freak avalanche. He then comes into contact with the universe's will (basically something that *insert your prefered deity here* cooperated with to make the world (heaven, hell, the mortal world, yggdrasil, basically every "world" that has been made (in reality, mythology, games, books, cartoons/movies, and memes!) but also had a mind of its own at the same talk.) and Michael and the Universe’s Will talked and this story is about the outcome of said discussion.

System Supervillain
I was there when it happened. When the walls of reality came crashing down upon us. When everything changed. I was there. I watched it happen. There wasn’t anything I could do, of course. When two veritable demigods are fighting to the death, getting caught in between is a great way to end up very dead. Or worse. That’s when it happened. Raw time crashed with pure paradox, and the universe itself screamed in torment. Night turned to day turned to yesterday and tomorrow and blue and yellow and whale and petunia, and then it snapped back, all at once, with a thunderous roar that was not heard but felt. And then I saw the blue box for the first time. ------------ A System Apocalypse event happens in a world of superheroes, like you would see in the comic books. What happens when the world changes, and heroes and villains are now bound by a System that limits their powers? What will change, and what will remain the same? This story will incorporate Champions/HERO System 5th Edition rules. There will be dice rolls determining the action, and blue boxes with lots of crunchy numbers. If you're not down for that, there are plenty of other stories on this site that you'll like. But if that sounds fun to you, then welcome aboard, and I invite you to see what happens when someone becomes a System Supervillain.
